Chapter 36: Lies and Friendship
Instead of paying attention to what the system does with the crown with Voldemort's soul fragment attached, Allen is key to quickly leaving the Room of Requirement and continuing to explore Rowena Ravenclaw's statue as soon as possible.
In order not to alarm the person who planted the troll, Alan turned on the stealth function of the wonderful wizard robe. It was a brilliant decision, and as soon as he emerged from the Room of Requirement, Alan saw Professor Quirrell running up from downstairs with a pale face and panic.
Could Professor Quirrell, who looked very cowardly, be the one who soaked the troll in formalin? Allen, who knew the plot, didn't doubt this, knowing that Voldemort was hiding behind Professor Quirrell's garlic-scented scarf! Voldemort's sense of taste should not have recovered, right? Otherwise, if he recovered, wouldn't he be surrounded by the smell of garlic every day, and I wonder if he would be smoked to doubt his life?
Thinking wildly, Alan soon returned to the Ravenclaw recess room. Before the Ravenclaw classmates had returned, Alan repeated his old trick by taking out the system-purified crown and placing it on Rowena Ravenclaw's curls in a shape that could fit together perfectly, but the crown quickly slipped off the statue's smooth head and fell onto the chair with a crisp thud and bounced back onto the carpet.
What went wrong? Alan hurriedly jumped down and picked up the crown. It's really not like the Ravenclaw tiara, the old crown without a hint of luster. Eren drew his wand and pointed at the crown, "restored to its original state" - the crown had not changed in the slightest, it was still worn.
Alan was puzzled, and simply applied the spells such as "clean and new" and "appear quickly", and the crown still did not change in any way. Until—
Alan remembered the magic ball of Lady Luck he had gotten before school started. He took out the magic ball and the Encyclopedia of Spells from the storage compartment of the system, since the lucky elves cast the spell to lift the curse, the Encyclopedia of Spells has automatically included this spell, as well as phonetic guidance!
Anyway, now that Alan is helpless to take the crown, it is better to give it a try, maybe there will be a miracle!
As Alan delved into the spell, time passed little by little, and when he heard the sound of answering questions coming from outside the door, Alan suddenly realized that the Halloween lakeside masquerade party was over, and the common room would soon be lively. To be on the safe side, I should have suspended my research, anyway, whether to go or not, the statue is there, and I can't leave.
Quickly arranging the chair, Alan ran back to the dormitory. Soon, there was a commotion in the common room, and soon the sound dispersed and drifted away.
The bedroom door was pushed open with a bang, and Edward rushed in happily, not a little surprised to see Alan sitting at the table, which made Alan a little strange.
"Alan, you're back so soon? I really don't understand the interest of a student like you, such an interesting dance party, and you still have to read a book! Fortunately, Anna still knows that she has a lot of good food, otherwise you really won't enjoy life!" Edward said as he took off his sweater full of cream and butter, apparently he had a good time tonight, and this sweater was a testimony to his crazy play.
"Yes, oh, Edward, I took Anna's book, and I have to go find her and give it back to her. Do you see her?" asked Allen.
"Didn't she come back with you, why did you ask me?" asked Edward absent-mindedly. Tonight, the seniors actually got a butterbeer, and the little wizards also enjoyed a few glasses, and now they just want to wash up quickly and have a close touch with the bed.
"You have a good rest, I'll go out for a while. Alan couldn't sit still, he wanted to see Anna immediately.
Walking to the common room, I just happened to see Anna's roommate Luna.
"Luna, can you call Anna for me? I need to give her the book back. Alan raised the magic book in his hand.
"Okay, I've just come back too, I'm going to call her. Luna readily agreed.
After a while, Luna walked out with a puzzled expression. "Alan, Anna isn't in the dormitory, it's strange, it's so late, where did she go?"
"She must have thought she had pulled the book in the place where we had just stayed and went back to find it. I'll go find her. Alan hurriedly covered for Anna.
Saying goodbye to Luna, Alan went straight to the library, and sure enough, in the hidden corner where they often read, Anna was alone holding a book, sipping the drink at hand from time to time. The dim light cast a soft circle on her face, and Eren couldn't see her expression clearly, but he had to break the silence around her. On this cold night of carnival in the whole hospital, Anna was alone, hanging from each other, just to give Alan an excuse not to show up, Alan couldn't say what he was feeling in his heart now, maybe he was distressed, grateful, or maybe he had some indescribable feelings.
"Thank you, Anna!" Alan sat down softly beside Anna. Anna's expression was very peaceful, without a trace of loneliness or anxiety.
"It's okay, I also like to read, and I enjoy staying here eating food and reading books. Anna smiled softly, and Alan's heart softened. The reason why there was a lakeside party tonight was thanks to Anna's suggestion to Professor Flitwick, which showed that Anna must have liked the arrangement. But for his sake, Anna gave up her preferences......
There was silence for a long time, "Anna, it's late at night, let's go back." "A pair of hands held up, two hearts close together.
As we enter November, the weather becomes very cold. The mountains surrounding the school were gray and covered with snow and ice, and the lake was as cold and hard as hardened steel. Every morning, there is frost on the ground. From the upstairs window, Hagrid can be seen wrapped in a long moleskin coat, wearing rabbit fur gloves and huge beaver fur boots, defrosting his broomsticks on the Quidditch pitch.
The Quidditch season is about to begin. Roger was as energetic as a chicken, grabbing Alan to train whenever he could, and Quidditch training went from three times a week to five times a week.
The professors weren't letting their studies off with the exciting Quidditch season coming, "A really good wizard can resist any pressure, anything!" Professor Snape said as he gave an extra ten inches of parchment to his homework.
Compared to the rest of his classmates, Alan was obviously more busy, and Quidditch training must not be left behind, in addition to completing the homework assigned by the professor, he also had to get up early to practice elementary alchemy, and he could not relax in the library to accumulate potions books...... What's more, an hour before going to bed, Alan would carefully study the spell pronunciation and spell casting movements of the lucky elves to lift the curse.
Good thing to have Anna!
