Chapter Eighty-Six: Regaining Father and Brother
-
If someone in later generations had compiled the story of Moshi into the Holy Scriptures, the New Wheel of Seasons, they might have written this passage like this:
The young apostle, bound to his first disciples, threw out the word and confessed his identity, saying that he came from the bosom of God. And the disciple, named Opal, didn't believe it.
Then the apostle said: "Is it not a miracle given to you by the Lord of the Empty Wheel that I have stopped your sins with divine power? The love I give you is given to you by God. β
The apostle sat down in his chair, but the opal could not move.
Opal thought: If this is not God's will, what signs can there be in the world to show God's gifts? Even if the man in front of him is not an apostle, he is a messenger sent by God.
- Of course, imagination, brush, ink, and the long distance of time and space can describe the picture as such. But the facts are not so flat, they do not have a concise and poetic rhyme like words.
"Listen to me, and you will have a chance to atone for your sins. Opal, you don't have to go to hell. Yes, I can't represent God now, because I haven't been feathered, but sooner or later I will, and sooner or later God will be reborn in my shell. Will you trust me and help me?"
In fact, when Mo Shi said this, he was very unsure whether the other party would believe it.
He was trying to impersonate the oracle of God, borrowing the expectations of the elderly Holy Priest St. Tuan, who claimed to be the earthly doppelganger of God who saved the world.
But in another part of Mo Shi's heart, he felt calm. It was as if he was not telling a big lie, but simply stating the facts.
I really didn't know I was so conceited.
He thought wildly.
And the youth was incomparably silent. The young man's body was still struggling involuntarily, but everything was immovable in a way that went against his will, as if commanded by the God of creation. Opal Zirconium, or any person in such a situation, will feel a deep sense of fear of losing control, and a certain kind of relief that is numb after extreme exhaustion.
In the silence of only breathing, after a long time, Opal Zirconia's voice finally reached Mo Shi's ears: "So you will indeed ...... Forgive me, huh?"
His voice was shaking.
He cried. Mo Shi thought.
So I succeeded. Even if he didn't believe it, he was already quite moved by this so-called "forgiveness".
Moshi unleashed the spell, and Opal loosened the strip of cloth from his eyes and the knots behind him. It's not that Mo Shi can't use the transfer magic to save himself, he just hopes that this process will be completed by the other party, with a beginning and an end.
It's weird, he thought.
When Opal shuddered and hugged him, as if hugging Helen's brother who had come back from the dead, he felt that he truly had a "friend" and a "fellow citizen". And it turned out to be such a bloody moment, a serial murderer with bloodied hands, and a liar with a mouth full of gibberish.
It was also at this time that Mo Shi suddenly realized that he had never been a "normal person".
Even in the era in which he was born, he did not live in the default ruler of the public.
It's just that after he has lost his memory, he wants to be "normal" because he forgets what he has done.
"Leave it to me. He said to Opal.
-
Mo Shi paced slowly around the room.
The flightless edelweiss with its owner has left.
Mo Shi picked up the black staff leaning against the wall from the corner. The sapphire in the center of the cross shimmered faintly.
He dragged his chair to the center of the room and sat down, facing the two children of the Green Temple, who were tied up and "placed" against the wall, unconscious.
"Bluebird, activate the 'qualitative testing' in your healing warlocks and see when they can wake up. Mo Shi said to his staff.
"I haven't used the 'other' type of spell since this point - casting a spell on someone other than the bound one is a waste of my common flow of mana with yours. Bluebird complained, but quickly replied, "It will take about twenty minutes or so to wake up, do you need me to activate the 'Other-Designated Elimination' treatment technique?"
"Twenty minutes......" Mo Shi shook his head, "No. We'll just wait here a little bit. β
Bluebird's tone softened, "Mr. Mo Shi, you've worked hard lately. If possible, I would recommend that you seek counselling from a counsellor. γ
"It's a pity that there are no conditions here. β
"I'm willing to serveβeven though I don't have the appropriate license. γ
Mo Shi smiled.
After a while, he said, "I now recall some of the things that used to happen. β
"Congratulations. This is the result of an increase in the civilization advancement index. γ
In the year since coming to the Spinel Academy, Moshi's civilization index has soared to 1.01%, and it seems that it has finally broken through a big hurdle.
Bluebird says this is because things like looms and crossbows, horse harness, and more diverse ideas are spreading and developing in their own way.
Obviously, in the more than two years since Mo Shi left that border village, society itself, human desires and wisdom have been perfecting and upgrading technology.
But he didn't make a huge breakthrough in his magical skills. It's just a few spells that have gained a side branch of the transfer magic, the control magic. One of them was "Sleep in the Ground" β but it seems to have worked well now.
"I told you before, follow the law of development, the civilization index tends to grow faster and faster. Unfortunately, magic unblocking doesn't follow the same rules. The basic things are easy to learn, but the advanced ones are not, and I speculate that the same is true of the law of the release of the seal. γ
"Speculation?"
"If it weren't for you, I would have fully interacted with the 'helmsman' - there wouldn't have been such a thing. γ
"Well, my bad. β
This is a topic they talked about earlier. But at that time, Mo Shi did not have time to digest the "new" memories he had acquired. Memory is different from magical arts, the former is born from the void and chaos, and is born of cloud-like thoughts.
But now, finally, some pieces have been pieced together into a story in his mind.
"I was the first generation to suffer from elfism. "When I was in college, I followed the school's analysis team to examine the recovery of the radiation zone, and I was infected at that time. β
Bluebird listened quietly.
After that, it was as if the heavens and the earth had changed suddenly, and the number of people suffering from elven diseases around the world began to increase. People perceive changes in themselves, from the outside to the inside. The 'Association for the Rights of the Infected' was born, which was later renamed the 'New Generation Human Alliance', and I was one of the early organizers...... And then there'...... War. People wage war on blind impulses, and huge magic groups and nuclear weapons pollute more land...... They lost everything, and I lost the most important person. β
Fragments of memory spilled down, fell into the sea and melted.
Mo Shi reached out, but couldn't catch it.
The story is just a rough outline, a vague shadow. It's like reading events recorded in a history textbook. Its sense of realism is weak. But there are some details that show that Mo Shi was involved.
"Take a deep breath, Mr. Morse, take a deep breath. The blue bird's voice pulled him back to reality.
"Blue Bird ......"
"I think they're going to wake up, Mr. Moshi. γ
"Okay. β
"Have you already figured out what to do?"
Mo Shi closed his eyes and nodded: "Things won't be difficult." β
