The city wall of Tianjin first appeared two hundred and seventy years ago, in the third year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, Huang Fuxiu, the secretary of the Ministry of Industry, was ordered to build the city of Tianjin Wei, and Tianjin began to have a city wall. The walls are built using ancestral craftsmanship, which is known as "rammed earth to build a city". Four earthen walls enclose Tianjin into a rectangle that is long from east to west and short from north to south, like an abacus, which is "abacus city". The city walls are densely packed with arrow stacks. Archers can release arrows from behind; At intervals, a section of the wall protrudes from the wall. It resembles a horse's face, so it is also called "horse face". Dead spots in defenses can be eliminated. A tall turret was built at the corner of the city wall to keep an eye on the enemy; In the four sides of the city wall, the city tower and the city gate are set up, and the town guards the four directions, connecting the inside and outside; An urn castle shaped like a pocket was also built inside the city gate, which was specially used to encircle and suppress the enemies who broke through the city gate.

The city wall of Tianjin is not only a city wall to defend the enemy, but also to bear the heavy responsibility of flood control, in the early years, there were major floods, all with the high city wall to block the flood peak outside. Ming Xiaozong Hongzhi four years, that is, 1491. The crumbling earthen wall underwent its first reconstruction. But Zhao Liangdong is now going to Shaanxi to fight with Wang Pingfan, and there is no such thing as rebuilding Tianjin City. Kangxi wants to repair it, but now the money and food are tight. I have a heart but I am powerless!

Now the number of soldiers and horses in Tianjin City can be regarded as a lot, and Jieshu personally guards the fort. More than 6,000 sergeants lost most of them and returned in defeat.
