This Donghak-do is not a political party or group representing the vital interests of the people, but more of a Taoist system, a religion that has been circulating in Korea for decades and combines Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism.

Its main thrust was to promote Oriental studies in contrast to Western Catholicism, which had been prevalent in Korea decades earlier. Of course, Dongxue Taoism still has their 'advanced' side, taking "man is heaven" as a dogma, reflecting the anti-feudal idea of equality. Therefore, from the founding of Donghak-do in 1860, it was strictly forbidden by the North Korean government as a "left-ism" and "cult", but it spread rapidly among the people and underground.

During the fifteen years between 1860 and 1875, the international situation in Korea was very dangerous. The Western colonizers wanted to open the door to Korea more than once, so Dong Hak-do, which was born at the right time, put forward the slogans of "punishing corrupt officials and corrupt officials" and "rejecting foreign officials" through a series of religious propaganda, which well catered to the needs of the struggle in Korea and thus had a great influence among the people.

In the second year of Tongzhi, in 1864 of the Western calendar, Cui Jiyu, the founder of Dongxuedao, was beheaded for public display. After that, Cui Shiheng inherited the position of the sect leader, improved the doctrinal system and organizational system of Dongxuedao, and continued to develop the Dongxuedao power underground. The North Korean government, on the other hand, arbitrarily persecuted and oppressed the Eastern Daoists. Eastern Daoists were often arrested and tortured, and their property was plundered and confiscated by local officials and officials to fill their pockets. The contradiction between the government and Dongxue Dao has become deeper and deeper.

Its disciples were targeted by the government, of course, it was no matter how to arrest them, and this was nothing to say about bullying or anything. And the family property is naturally in the hands of the government, which is normal, isn't it?

In April of this year, tens of thousands of Dongxue Daoists held a large-scale rally in Baoeun County, Chungcheong-do, and publicly unveiled the banner of "rejecting Western righteousness", which was later forcibly disbanded by the North Korean government in a combination of soft and hard measures. But wave after wave of mass incidents is a sign that the outbreak of a large-scale armed uprising is ripe. Liu Xian also warned the DPRK Government through official channels to face up to and attach importance to this matter, and ordered the Northeast Military Region and the East Siberian Military Region to transfer subordinate DPRK troops. Reintegration and repatriation.

The crown prince is the son-in-law of the Emperor of the Joseon Kingdom, and the Emperor of the Upper Kingdom took the initiative to send the Korean army to return to China, which is obviously to support the Korean royal family and government. Gufu County is a major rice-producing region in North Korea. Irrigation is crucial. With the harmony of Dongxue Dao, the Korean people of Gufu County rose up.

In the history of the original time and space, this uprising was called the Dongxue Party Uprising, which was the trigger for the Sino-Japanese First Sino-Japanese War. And now, this uprising is just an ordinary Korean peasant uprising. That little Japanese child has long been impotent.

North Korea had 5,000 Janissaries, 30,000 new troops, and nearly 20,000 were previously serving in the Northeast and Eastern Siberia, mainly to clear out Russian bandits, and to guard the defense of various towns, plus military reclamation.

Now these people have all been transferred back to North Korea by Liu Xian. Soon, Jeon Hyun-joon was promoted to the rank of commander-in-chief, calling himself "General", Kim Deok-myung as his military advisor, and the two generals, Sun Hwa-chung and Kim Kai-nam, each led an army, and the front of the army was directed at Jeonju, the capital of Jeolla Province.

At that time, Gu Hongming had just come out of Beijing, and Tianjin Port had not yet arrived. The entire Jeolla Province became the territory of the rebels.
