Section 43 Priestess
Arold's soldiers rushed into the tower, the Slavic guards resisted desperately in every room in the wooden staircase and the hall, the sound of weapons clashing was heard throughout the tower, the officers crowded into the tower and looked at the slightly dimly lit tower hall, objects were scattered between the stone pillars, the corpses of the Slavic guards were pulled down into the corners, the blood stained the stone floor purple, and the tapestries on the walls were pulled to the ground.
"Have you found the girls who were caught?" Arold looked around, and several soldiers carried away the corpses that had fallen on the wooden table, several wine glasses on the ground tumbled to the ground, and most of the tower's resistance had been cleared.
"Still looking, I don't know where the Slavs have hidden them." Julian shook the sludge and blood off his body, and he crawled out of the pile of corpses, the smell of corpses was terrible, but he couldn't help but be overjoyed after completing the big task of breaking the door.
"Have the Slavic nobles caught it?" Arold walked around the debris on the ground, his body of chain mail was bright, and the majesty of his anticipation was revealed, the capital of Mecklenburg County had fallen into his hands without any suspense, and everyone's eyes were in awe.
"A group of nobles' family members blocked the door of the council chamber, and they said they wanted to talk to you, do you want to go?" At this time, Johann Berg came limping, and the council chamber was at the end of the corridor on the second floor of the tower, and the gate was also made of heavy and sturdy cedar, where the lords usually consulted with their close vassals, and where the Slavic nobles gathered their families to protect them when the war came.
"Let's go, let's see." Arold was reluctant to burn the door to the council chamber again. He waved to the officers and walked towards the second floor of the tower, and at the end of the corridor he saw the arched cedar door that was more than a man high, the wooden door was tightly closed, and a group of light infantry were trying to smash the wooden door open with a blunt object, and every time the blunt object knocked on the wooden door and made a noise, there were screams of women and children inside, which further aroused the human instinct of bloodthirsty and bullying the weak, and the light infantry cursed in rough slang while knocking harder on the wooden door.
"Stop, stop." Julian stepped forward and pushed the light infantry away, stopping them from terrorizing the women and children. The light infantry turned their heads to see their leaders surrounded by Arrod, who was dressed in chain mail and smocks. Hurriedly dodge to the sides to make way for a road.
"Let the soldiers stand back." Arold raised his right hand and told the husleys to leave, then he stepped forward and knocked on the wooden door as if he were knocking on a neighbor's door.
"Which one is outside?" Suddenly, a woman's voice came from inside the wooden door. She speaks a Germanic language. It should be the family of the nobles. Although his voice trembled slightly, he was very calm.
"I am Count Arrod, the rightful ruler of Mecklenburgshire, and I ask you to open this door. Surrender to me. Arold said to the women and children inside.
"How can you prove that you are the commander of this army, Earl Arrod?" When the woman heard this, she seemed to repeat Arold's words to the people inside, who seemed to discuss it for a moment, and then she asked.
"I can't stand outside the door to prove myself, you must open the door first, or my soldiers will slam it open."
"If you were Earl Arrod, you wouldn't need to do this, but we want you to swear by your honor that the safety of all people here will not be violated." The woman said again.
"Well, I swear, in honor of my Earl of Mecklenburgshire, that all those here can testify that your safety will not be compromised." Arold said loudly, so that the people inside and the people outside could hear clearly, and after Arold finished speaking, the inside of the council chamber fell silent.
"Click~~~, click." The bolt of the door was lowered, and the wooden cedar door creaked open, and when the wooden door opened, Arold saw that there were thirty or forty women and children crowded into this council room, most of them holding their children in their arms, and Arold strode in and looked at the children of these nobles, the older ones were only about ten years old.
"Keep your promise, Lord Count." A soft voice sounded beside Arrod, and when Arold turned around, he saw a slim brown haired beauty, her hair was braided into several small braids, and her green eyes looked at Arold with doubt, she was wearing a fur shoulder, and a white thin linen dress underneath, and a silver necklace around her snow-white neck, which were three strange eye-like rings, interlocking into a clover shape.
"Hmm, you're?" Arold looked at the snow-white beauty in front of her, her heart beat a few times involuntarily, she was very much like the goddess that Arold loved in her previous life, the woman who made him fascinated, but not the beauty in front of her looked exactly the same as the goddess, of course, the appearance of Slavs and Asians is fundamentally different, and Arold felt the same essence between them.
"My lord, I am the priest of this castle, and my name is Shirley." The priestess curtsy to Arrod, the Slavlomwa priestess seemed to be well acquainted with Germanic etiquette, and the people in the council chamber seemed to have great trust in her.
"Of course, I swear by my own glory, please rest assured that as long as the people here don't do impulsive things, their safety is guaranteed." Arold loudly announced to everyone that he would be severely punished if he violated his orders against the women and children, and ordered John Berg to send Swiss mercenaries to guard the door, and these Swiss who only obeyed John Berg and Arold were very faithful to their duties, after all, they had been loyal to the guardians of the Christian leaders for hundreds of years.
"Thank you, Earl, for the unarmed women and children here, and you will do as you tell me." Shirley looked at the Swiss with a stern-faced face and a neat appearance, and her heart settled down a little, as a sacrifice to this castle, she had a responsibility to protect her parishioners.
"I've done what I have to do, now it's your turn, Priestess Shirley, where are the girls of those villages that were taken and your chief?" Arold said to the priestess.
"This~~~~." Shirley hesitated, and though she was disgusted by the infamous ritual performed by the leader, now betraying the leader had made her step through the psychological hurdle, so she was in a hurry.
"I warn you, Your Excellency the Priestess, that I can withdraw my soldiers at any time, and I will not know what will happen in the midst of the chaos." Arold is not the otaku of the past, even in the face of this priestess who is the same as the goddess in his mind, he has to say in a threatening tone in order to achieve his goal.
"No, me, I said." Shirley Silver Fang bit her lip lightly, she hurriedly grabbed Arrod's cloak with her slender fingers, she was afraid that Arold would really send the guards away, and when she looked closely, she seemed to have tears in her anxious eyes.
"Hmm." Arold was a little surprised, a person who could become a priest in the castle, equivalent to the position of bishop in the court of a Christian lord, should have some city government anyway, but the beauty in front of him was very simple.
"In the dungeons of the tower, the Lomwa priests of the Chaos faction instigated the chieftain to hold a feast of the gods there."
"Oh, then please take us there."
"Okay." Shirley looked at the women and children in the council hall and saw that they were safe, she lifted the corner of her skirt and walked out, Arold hurriedly followed behind her, and walked down the wooden ladder to the bottom of the hall, on the side of the first floor of the lord's hall, there were some miscellaneous items piled up in the ear room, and in the middle of the room was a dusty wooden table, pushing open the heavy wooden table, picking off the messy straw on the ground, and a wooden door appeared on the ground.
"Torches." Arold opened the wooden door and saw that it was pitch black, but there was a faint stone staircase leading down the door, and Arold asked the soldiers to get a few torches.
"They're inside." Shirley picked up one of the torches and was about to walk underneath the coffin, but Arold reached out to stop her.
"Let me go in first." Arold drew his sword at his waist and held a torch in one hand, ready to jump into the secret door, but was blocked by Julian and Johnberg.
"Lord Earl, let's do this dangerous thing." Julian suggested, and with that, he drew his sword and jumped into the secret door first, leaving Arold too late to stop him.
"Please follow me, Miss Shirley." Arold reluctantly walked in the second position, Shirley followed behind Arold, and John Berg limped to the back of the wall as a broken reinforcement, and they walked cautiously towards the bottom of the wall by the light of the torches, the passage was very narrow, the walls were covered with moss, and from time to time there were drops of water falling down the ground.
"Squeak~~~." Suddenly, a group of rats rushed under Shirley's feet, making the priestess cover her mouth in fright, and her body involuntarily threw herself at Arrod's back, and her soft and warm body made Arold almost miss the torch, and Shirley seemed to be aware of the hurry.
"Haven't you ever been here?" In order to ease the embarrassing situation, Arrod asked Shirley.
"No, I'm a priest of the Naturalist School, and I've never been to such a bloody place, except once I sent herbs to the jailer here, but he only stood in the secret door and took it himself." Shirley explained to Arrhode.
"Oh." After saying that, the two of them were silent, except for the footsteps in the whole passage, there was the crackling of the torch burning, in the dark environment it seemed that the passage would never end, but soon they heard a strange sound in front of them, Julian shook the torch in front of him a few times, as if to prove that something had happened.
