Lolita
Vladimir Nabokov's most widely circulated book, Lolita, which tells the story of a middle-aged man and an underage girl, was first published by the European publishing house Olympia in Paris in 1955 and the American edition in 1958, and rose to the top of the New York Times bestseller list. In 1962, the famous director Stanley Kubrick brought to the screen, and Lolita was played by the sixteen-year-old Sue Brown. Ryan, for which she also won the Golden Globe Award for Newcomer of the Year.
