CHAPTER XXXVI
Throughout the dynasties, the only way for the imperial dynasty to rule the living beings in the world is to promote loyalty and filial piety, loyalty to the emperor, and filial piety to the elders.
This filial piety is beyond reproach, but the loyal emperor is with the idea of foolishness.
All lives are not equal.
The king wants his ministers to die, and the ministers have to die...... Wait a minute.
These ideas were imposed on everyone's mind as the central idea of the imperial examination.
Foolish people have become the only way to stabilize the imperial dynasty, coupled with the use of Buddhism, Taoism and other religions to preach, in fact, there are not many ordinary people in the past generations who really have their own thoughts.
There are only a few out of ten thousand, and they are either violently eradicated by the imperial court, or they are contained in the officialdom of the imperial court and reduced to a member of the implementation of the policy of fooling the people.
Baili Wuji knew what Duan Foyin was asking, not because he didn't understand why the people of the Ming Kingdom were confident, but because he didn't understand why Baili Wuji made the people "smart".
Because the people who are "smart" are far more difficult to rule than the people who are "not smart."
This is the core idea of "the people can make it happen, but they can't make it known".
In fact, not only Duan Foyin didn't understand, but also many Ming officials didn't understand that only foolish people can survive for thousands of years, which is an immutable law for eternity.
People, if they know too much, will not be "at ease" and will not be constrained, and the law is nothing more than a fig leaf for the ruler for the wise, nothing more.
The sacredness of the law lies in observance, and the laws of the empire are formulated by those who are superior to the throne, and the imperial power above the law will never need to obey the law, and can even modify and trample on the law at any time.
Baili Wuji began to reform the imperial examination system when he was in the state of Chu. And through the reform of the people, the seeds of people's wisdom will be sown among the next generation of students.
Although Xu Shiming took the initiative to join the subject of loyalty to the royal family, this did not affect the opening of the people's wisdom.
Baili Wuji knows that the people's wisdom is open. It will have a strong shock to the foundations of the Ming Kingdom, because the people will crave more autonomy, the right to know, and the right to participate.
After the opening of the people's wisdom, the imperial court will need to face more questions, which will shake the imperial power above the law.
This is the root cause of the detriment to rule.
But Baili Wuji comes from the future, and he knows the harm of foolishness.
That is, the people will not have the concept of a country and a nation, because in the minds of the foolish people, there is only allegiance to the imperial power. And imperial power is a variable, just like five dynasties in five dynasties in a few decades. Plus the Ming Kingdom, that's six.
The people are loyal to the imperial power, and whoever becomes the emperor will be loyal to whom, which is the fundamental reason for the change of dynasties.
It's like when the Liao State captured Kaifeng Mansion and took away the stone nobles. The subjects of the Jin State calmly pledged their allegiance to Yerod. in their hearts. As long as Yelu Deguang became the emperor of the Central Plains, he was the object of their allegiance.
In the hearts of the people, there is no country and no nation, and all foreign aggression is just a change of allegiance to them.
The policy of ignoring the people may be beneficial for short-term rule, but in the long run, it is undoubtedly a poison that shakes the foundation of rule.
So. The fundamental reason why Baili Wuji opened the wisdom of the people is that he hopes to sow the seeds of the country and the nation in the hearts of the people. Only in this way will the people resist bloodily and never die in the face of foreign aggression.
A nation with this kind of consciousness is invincible, and a country with such a people will last for generations.
Of course, this premise is the fictitious of imperial power.
Because, the people who have opened up the wisdom of the people cannot forever tolerate a "sword of imperial power" hanging over their heads.
They will ask for more, both for benefit and power.
If the imperial power does not take the initiative to be false, then one day, the royal family will be overthrown by the people.
Baili Wuji has this awareness, and when he established the Ming Kingdom, he already had this kind of preparation, "Ming" and "people", which contains the purpose that Baili Wuji wants to achieve.
Baili Wuji, who has the consciousness of later generations, knows that the cycle of the rise and fall of the empire, and he does not want the now powerful Ming Kingdom to fall into the cycle of decay and replacement again after several generations.
And the change of dynasties is always bloody, and Baili Wuji doesn't want his descendants to be unable to get a good death.
The key to resolving this contradiction is the fictitious existence of imperial power.
As long as the power of handing over power, the source of qiē evil, is not in the hands of the royal family, then no one will come to embarrass the royal family.
In this way, the Ming State will always exist, and the rise of any force will become a civil war, snatching power, and there will no longer be such a phenomenon that the Ming Dynasty will become "Zhou Dynasty" or "Chen Dynasty" or "Song Dynasty" one day.
All disputes will be under the banner of the Ming Kingdom.
In this kind of situation where the people understand the concept of the country and the nation, whoever wants to build another country against the sky will be spurned by the public, so that the Ming Kingdom can last forever.
And the royal family will become the spiritual pillar of the Ming Kingdom, and be with the Ming Kingdom.
This is the only way to make the Ming Kingdom truly last for a long time.
But these, Baili Wuji naturally can't say it to Duan Foyin, this kind of advanced concept is far from being acceptable to people in this era.
Just as when a person is still craving a bowl of gruel to fill his stomach, if you tell him how to match the diet to be nutritious, it is equivalent to playing the piano to the cow.
Baili Wuji thought about it, replied to Duan Foyin with a playful look, and said: "I have heard that Princess Foyin is well versed in Buddhism, and today I have an axe in my class, and to quote a sentence, the Buddha said that it cannot be said." ”
Hearing this, Duan Foyin quickly replied: "You can't say if you're not born, you can't say if you're alive, you can't say if you're not born, you can't say if you're not born." It is not to be said that it is born, nor to be born is not to be said, but it is to be said for a cause. ”
Duan Foyin is undoubtedly superb in Buddhist comprehension, and she didn't even stop for a moment to refute Baili Wuji.
In her sentence, "unborn" refers to the firstborn birth in the worldly truth, "shengsheng" refers to an ordinary person, "birth" refers to death in the worldly truth, and "non-birth and non-birth" refers to the great nirvana without the appearance of life.
The four items in the first half of this sentence actually include a qiē method, from birth to death, from ordinary people to great nirvana, whether it is the worldly truth or the true righteousness, it cannot be said.
The realm of ordinary people can be said and cannot be said, and the realm of nirvana can be said and cannot be said, and this is the correct view.
But if you come across an appropriate opportunity, or if you want to educate the people, or if you want to spread the Dharma far and wide, then you can say anything.
Naturally, she meant that meeting her question was an appropriate opportunity.
Baili Wuji was jokingly and casually said, but was instantly blocked back by Duan Foyin, Baili Wuji hollowed out his mind and thought about it, and filtered the Buddhist scriptures that he had learned under Qi Ji's monks before before he found a sentence. (To be continued......)
