One hundred and twenty-seven. Deserters and generals (ask for recommendations)
"It's the best of times, and it's the worst of times."
βCharles John Halfham Dickens.
In this era, countless unknown people have fallen, not even a single grave, cursing this damned war, and constantly begging God to put an end to this terrible thing as soon as possible.
But there are also countless people who are full of fanaticism for this era, who are eager to prove themselves on the battlefield and strive for glory that cannot be achieved in peacetime.
They see the terrible battlefield as a stage to show themselves, and the death that can come anytime and anywhere as the greatest romance.
For example, the "Red Baron" Manfred von Richthofen.
In his eyes, this is the best era!
He got up from the bed, and the woman next to him was still asleep, and Richthofen's movements were a little louder, which woke the woman up.
"What, are you leaving?" The woman opened her blurred eyes.
"I'm not going to stay here." Richthofen got dressed.
"What's your name?" The woman propped herself up, revealing half of her naked body.
"Ernst Bram." Richthofen did not hesitate to answer the name: "If you have the opportunity in the future, you can come to me in the supplementary battalion of the 16th Bavarian Infantry Regiment." β
Richthofen felt that he had taken revenge. Ernst actually wanted to transfer himself to the infantry? Ha, when the girl went to Ernst and told Elena, Ernst was distressed
Rushing back to the air base, Mark had already greeted him from a distance and shouted, "Manfred, do you know who is back?" β
"Who? It's none of my business who comes back. Richthofen, who was still savoring last night's passion, didn't care at all.
"Hey, don't regret it, Gelronin is back."
"Who?" Richthofen's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Jovi von Gelronin, have you forgotten him?"
"Oh God!" Richthofen exclaimed: "He's back? He didn't die? β
It was a good friend who joined the Luftwaffe with Richthofen and was also a nobleman. However, he was unlucky, and the plane was shot down by the enemy during his first aerial reconnaissance mission.
Everyone thought that he could not survive, but what people never expected was that he was still alive!
Gellonin is really alive! When they saw Richthofen again, the two good friends hugged each other tightly and let go for a while.
"Hell, Jovi, you're not dead?" Richthofen asked Mark to bring the wine.
"I didn't even think I would survive." Gellonyin drank the wine in one gulp and said with great interest: "But my luck is not good, and I became a prisoner. Hell, the bread in the POW camp makes me sick when I think about it now. β
Richthofen laughed, this good friend of his was a favorite of all people, and it was hard to imagine how he had come back from the prisoner of war camp.
Gellonin asked Mark to pour himself another glass of wine: "This time the two sides exchanged prisoners, and I was the first to be released. You learned that I'm a pilot, and I don't get any useful information from me. β
The fact that his friend, who had always thought he had been dead a long time ago, came back safe and sound, which made Richthofen extremely excited. The two of them drank a full bottle of wine, and Gelronin kept dancing there, talking about the "interesting" things he had seen in the prisoner of war camp.
"Hey, Manfred, guess who I saw the day before I left the POW camp?" Gelronin said with great interest: "I met a German general!" β
"German generals?" Richthofen and Mark looked at each other and said with a smile: "You must have drunk too much that day, right?" β
"I didn't drink that day, listen to me." Gellonyin said solemnly: "On the day before my release, I wanted to find some wine to drink, you know, our prisoner of war camp is very loosely guarded, especially those of us who will be released tomorrow, who will risk being killed to escape?" I went to Colonel Kaller's office, and before I could go in, I heard Colonel Kall talking to a man, and I eavesdropped on it outside the door for a while, but my French was not very good, and I could only understand some. Probably means what the general said. I quietly pushed open the crack and looked, ha, I really saw a German general"
Richthofen and Mark were captivated by the story. Seeing that his story aroused the interest of others, Gellonyin became more and more interested:
"Hell, can you imagine how I felt? But when I looked closely, I found that something was not right, the German general's uniform was obviously ill-fitting, and it was obvious that it had been found from somewhere. When he took off his military uniform, revealing his unkempt hair, aha, he's a bullshit German general, obviously a French deserter! β
"French deserters?" Richthofen was stunned.
"Yes, a deserter, named Kevin." Gellonin replied in the affirmative: "He was captured from the battlefield and temporarily imprisoned with us. This guy is not bad, he knows a little bit of German. But I think it's a little crazy, and I always like to talk to us about alchemy. Ha, can you think of what a French deserter looked like when he was dressed in a German general's uniform? β
"God knows, what the French are doing there." Richthofen muttered.
Gelronin put down the already empty wine glass: "They are talking a lot, I don't understand it, but with the name I understand, and it sounds familiar." It's called Killok, and the name comes up again and again in their conversation. Hey Manfred, I'm sure I've heard the name Manfred by Kilok there, what's wrong with you? β
He suddenly noticed that Richthofen's eyes were stunned.
"Manfred, Manfred?"
In the midst of Gelronin's repeated calls, Richthofen suddenly grabbed his good friend's arm: "Jovi, are you sure you've heard them talk about the name Kirok many times?" β
"Yes, I'm pretty sure that although my French is poor, I'm sure I can't get it wrong."
"No, no!" Richthofen stood up, walking back and forth with an anxious expression, Kirok, Kirok. Ernst was there for the defected general, and he would soon fly over Reims to support Ernst.
What are the French going to do with a deserter dressed as a German general?
Richthofen cried out in a broken voice: "Ernst is in big trouble!" β
(A new climax is coming, brethren, the recommendation has been a little weak lately, let's smash more to the base.) )
