On the western Pacific coast, in addition to the bases in mainland China, China has also opened a base in the South Pacific Ocean on the island of New Britain in the Republic of Papua New Guinea. Therefore, from the moment the Clinton administration decided that a dispute between China and the United States would inevitably break out over world dominance, no less than the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, the United States had determined that it would win over Yugoslavia or completely destroy it, so that China would lose the window to use it.
