A letter written by General Fu Zuoyi to his brother Fu Zuoren during the Battle of Taiyuan
The following is an excerpt from his book:
I was ordered to serve as the commander of the former enemy on the Pingsui Line, and although the Nationalist army fought bloodily, I still could not stop the frantic attack of the Japanese invaders. At present, the flames of war have burned near Taiyuan, and I have been ordered to serve as the commander of Taiyuan City Defense and shoulder the responsibility of defending Taiyuan.
It must be known that the current battle against the Japanese invaders was a battle to defend against a stubborn enemy and defend the motherland, and it had a bearing on the survival of our country and the rise or fall of the nation. It is everyone's responsibility for the people of the whole country to rise up to resist the war. As a soldier, it is the responsibility to defend the land, and it is an unshirkable responsibility.
As long as there is still a breath, he vows to fight with the Japanese invaders to the end, sacrifice his life for the country, and have no hesitation.
Zuoyi has been outside since he was a child, and he rarely cares about housework. As the saying goes, if you are loyal to the country, you can't be filial to your relatives, and I don't think that's necessarily the case. Do you need to know that if the skin does not exist, the hair will be attached? This defense of the motherland is also incidental to the defense of the hometown, or it can take into account both loyalty and filial piety, which is comforting!
"Life, what I want, righteousness, also what I want, you can't have both, and those who sacrifice their lives to take righteousness are also." Geng Geng's heart, like the sun and the moon, can comfort the people!
