Chapter 320: Changes (3)

Huang Xing's words didn't know how much they could be listened to by these bigwigs, but Wang Zhenyu was very moved. Huang Xing is Huang Xing, and he has not forgotten state affairs when he has reached this point.

"Keqiang Gong, you can take a rest," Wang Longzhong couldn't help but persuade.

Huang Xing shook his head and said to Wang Zhenyu: "Brother Wenzheng, I understand you about the southwest this time. The national government is full of people, and if the news leaks out, it will be a bad thing. But this wind cannot last, the army is a violent institution, and if he is above the state, it is a very dangerous thing. So, ahem, ahem, ahem, ......"

Wang Zhenyu hurriedly said: "This time the matter is that Wen Zheng did something wrong, and things like declaring war on foreign countries in the future will have to be voted on by the National Assembly." ”

Huang Xing nodded, glanced at Xu Zonghan and Huang Yiou again, and said: "Brother Wenzheng, I have nothing else to explain, my body is not good, but my children are still children except for Yiou, and everything doesn't work." Yiou is also an impatient character, after I leave, my wife and children will ask you all. ”

Wang Zhenyu's tears came out at this moment, thinking about how energetic Huang Xing was when he ordered troops in Hanyang in the year of the Xinhai Revolution, and he reported to him as an officer on duty at that time. Now he is terminally ill and is about to die, how can people not be sentimental.

Huang Xing gently patted Wang Zhenyu on the shoulder, and said to Sun Wen and the others: "The term of office of this national government is five years, and these five years are five years of military governance, which is also an expedient measure. It's a pity that before the first year is over, I can't accompany everyone to go down, so I'll ask Brother Xing (Wang Longzhong's character) to pick up the ......"

Huang Xing didn't say as much as he said today in the past two months, maybe this is a return to the light, the explanation is finally finished, Huang Xing glanced at everyone with a smile, his head was slightly tilted, and the hand on the back of Wang Zhenyu's hand naturally slipped down, and everyone immediately realized that Huang Xing had passed away.

Huang Xing's wives and children suddenly cried all the time, but Wang Zhenyu sat beside Huang Xing in a daze, this was the first time he came to this era to witness the death of a historical celebrity, and the shock made his heart unable to calm down for a long time. And more than that, there is the gratitude to Huang Xing, if it wasn't for Huang Xing's order, why did he become a brigade commander, and why did he go to Nanjing to expand the troops and horses, and the biggest pot of gold when he started was also facilitated by Huang Xing. There are too many things in Wang Zhenyu's mind as if they were yesterday...... Eungong is gone.

On November 29, 1916, the fifth year of the Republic of China, Comrade Huang Xing, the father of the Xinhai Revolution, the veteran of the League, and the chairman of the Nationalist Government, died in Nanjing at the age of 42 due to ineffective medical treatment.

Huang Yuansheng, spokesman of the Nationalist Government, also wanted to announce the establishment of Comrade Huang Xing's funeral committee and the list of members of the funeral committee. Wang Longzhong served as the director of the funeral committee, Sun Wen, Zhang Taiyan, Xiong Xiling (from Beijing to the south), and Liang Qichao served as the deputy director. Seventy-four people, including Wang Zhenyu, Hu Hanmin, Chen Jiongming, Liao Zhongkai, Ye Zuwen, Zhou Zhiyun, Cheng Qian, and Xiong Kewu, were committee members. The emergency meeting of the National Assembly unanimously approved a proposal to hold a state funeral for Huang Xing, and adopted Wang Zhenyu's proposal to bury Huang Xing in the Purple Mountain in Nanjing, and at the same time confirmed the Purple Mountain as a national cemetery, and set up a series of plans such as the Martyrs' Shrine. At the same time, it was decided to hold public memorials in 12 provincial capitals, including Wuhan, Guangzhou, Changsha and Chengdu.

Li Yuanhong, president of the central government in Beijing, also sent a telegram to express his condolences and appointed Xiong Xiling, the newly outgoing premier, to go to Nanjing to offer condolences on his behalf. The Legation in China also sent a message of condolence, and at the same time, the consulates general in Nanjing also went to Huang Xing's official residence to offer condolences.

At Wang Zhenyu's request, the entire memorial service was extended to seven days, and the Military Committee ordered the Youth Army, including the expeditionary force, to be Huang Xing and Dai Xiao.

Huang Xing's mourning hall was placed in the auditorium of the national government, and a golden silk nanmu coffin made overnight containing Huang Xing's body was placed in the center of the mourning hall, and four soldiers who were more than one meter eight tall were selected to stand by the coffin in beautiful white gold-trimmed ceremonial clothes.

An edited portrait of Huang Xing is hung in the center of the mourning hall. The couplet is not a special "grievance waiting for snow" in the Hong Kong underworld in later generations, but Zhang Taiyan, a talented man, wrote it himself, the upper link is "no public is no Republic of China", the lower link is "there must be people in history", and the horizontal criticism is "the mighty spirit lasts forever." ”

Both sides of the mourning hall are full of wreaths and couplets sent by all walks of life according to Wang Zhenyu's requirements, and all the mourners come in from the main entrance, wearing white flowers and black yarns, and come in from the right side to go around the coffin for a week, and then go to the left side to comfort the family, and at the same time the family thanks.

At the same time, construction began on the Martyrs' Shrine and the Huangxing Memorial Hall on Purple Mountain, and according to Wang Zhenyu's request, General Cai Yi's body will also be buried here after being transported back from Japan, instead of the historical Yuelu Mountain. Anyway, the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is estimated to be gone, and there will only be martyrs' shrines and a bunch of memorial halls left on the Purple Mountain in the future.

Wang Zhenyu has been in the mourning hall almost undressed for the past few days, and his heartfelt respect for Huang Xing and his extreme grief for Huang Xing's funeral after his death made many veterans from the League of the Kuomintang nod their heads and praise. In particular, Xiong Kewu, who rushed to Nanjing from Sichuan, saw that Wang Zhenyu attached so much importance to Huang Xing, and he was also a little relieved about the future political future of these old people who had been following Huang Xing's side. Historically, because Huang Xing's followers were increasingly marginalized after the Northern Expedition, Huang Xing's historical contributions were ignored intentionally or unintentionally, so many years later, when people talked about the Xinhai Revolution, they would reflexively think of Sun Wen. However, a few people know that most of the eleven uprisings of the so-called Alliance were operated by Huang Xing, and the most tragic of them was the Huanghuagang Uprising, in which Huang Xing took the lead in rushing into the Liangguang Governor's Mansion with a bomb team. In the Xinhai Revolution, Huang Xing also fought on the front line, while Sun Wen stayed abroad to raise funds until the revolution was almost victorious, and then returned to serve as the provisional president. Yuan Shikai once confidently compared Sun Yat-sen and Huang Xing in front of his cronies: "Sun's ambition is noble and his views are also outstanding, but he is not a practitioner and is only among the initiators of migration." Huang is straightforward in nature and resolute in his actions, but he is inevitably timid and short-sighted, and is easily deceived by villains."

Li Shucheng, Huang Xing's staff, commented on Huang Xing: "Keqiang is always the most plain person, he is meritorious, fair, pioneered in battle, loves robes, is sincere and pragmatic, tolerant and humble, does not interpret slander, does not complain when he is victimized, does not talk about his shortcomings, and does not talk about his own strengths." ”

Zhang Shizhao commented on Huang Xing: "I hold the weapon of argumentation, in the word 'no dispute', but if I hold this to resist the strong, I will suddenly lose my support and be unarmed." Why? I have no contention, and the other's infighting is especially before me, greater than me...... The easiest friend in the world is like Huang Keqiang! ”

It can be said that Huang Xing is not a saint, but he is a warm-hearted person with an upright personality, who can always understand the difficulties of others and does not quarrel or quarrel. Therefore, it is not surprising that Huang Xing's prestige in the League was much higher than that of Sun Wen in history.

On December 5, Wang Zhenyu delivered a speech in vernacular at the memorial service, deeply mourning Comrade Huang Xing:

"Comrades and friends, our revolution has not yet succeeded, and our beloved Comrade Huang Xing has left us first. At this sad moment, allow me to make a brief statement about Comrade Huang Xing in my eyes.

Comrade Huang Xing, formerly known as Zhen, changed his name to Xing, the word Keqiang, the word Wu, the number Qingwu, and the competition for martial arts. He was born in 1874 in Gaotang Township, Shanhua County, Changsha Prefecture, Hunan Province. During the revolutionary period, he was pseudonymous Li Youqing, Zhang Yucheng, Zhang Shouzheng, Okamoto Yoshiichi, Imamura Nagazo, etc. He was the founding father of the Republic of China and the first chairman of the Nationalist Government. The first time I met Comrade Huang Xing was on the Hanyang front, when I was serving as a pipe band in the Hunan Army, and Comrade Huang Xing was our commander-in-chief. At that time, in order to repel the Qing army, we risked our lives to cross the river and attack the Yudaimen Station, the logistics center of the Qing army. After the Xinhai Revolution, Yuan Shikai stole the country, Comrade Huang Xing stayed in Nanjing, dismissed the people's army, because the situation was difficult, there were a lot of arrears, Comrade Huang Xing faced many accusations, pressure from all sides, and finally eliminated all difficulties to complete the matter, and made a special honor for the stability of the southeast. In the Second Revolution of 1913, Comrade Huang Xing did not advocate the use of force to fight Yuan, but finally obeyed the overall situation and participated in the fight against Yuan, and after the defeat, he went east to Japan and continued to fight for the civil rights of 40,000 compatriots. During the Protectorate War, Comrade Huang Xing actively organized the Protector Army in Jiangsu and Zhejiang to fight against Yuan, and later led the establishment of the Nationalist Government and served as the first chairman of the Nationalist Government. Throughout Comrade Huang Xing's life, Comrade Huang Xing never wavered in the face of the major rights and wrongs of the revolution, and never cared about personal honor and disgrace. His life was a life of revolution and struggle, and he was indeed a model for revolutionary comrades of our generation.

Today, we are here to mourn Comrade Huang Xing, the leader of our revolutionary cause, in order to show Comrade Huang Xing our determination that we will certainly inherit his revolutionary legacy and carry our revolutionary cause through to the end. We must fulfill Comrade Huang Xing's last wish and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. ”

Huang Xing's body was placed in the tomb of Huang Xing in Purple Mountain on December 6, and on the way to Purple Mountain, nearly 200,000 people from all walks of life in Nanjing saw him off along the way, and the Fifth Division of the Youth Army was ordered to fire 42 cannons to commemorate it.

Comrade Huang Xing has passed away, but the banner of the Nationalist Government must continue to be carried, but after all, Huang Xing is the No. 1 head of this government, and he is also the key link between the entire Nationalist Government.
