However, Hu Weidong was not panicked, in his view, the fundamental interests of Britain and France are still in Europe, as long as the European war breaks out, Britain and France will not only be able to increase troops to the Indochina Peninsula, but even have to transfer troops back to the mainland, and then the Southwest War will definitely be a complete victory. It's just that although Hu Weidong is sure that Germany will inevitably launch a European war, it is still difficult to judge when the mustache will start, if Germany drags on for two or three years before starting the war, then China's losses will be too great, after all, it is fighting with two powers at the same time, and it feels terrible to think about it. But Hu Weidong suddenly remembered a heroic figure in history at this time, if this prince can be allowed to go out of the mountain, France will definitely not care about the Indochinese colonies, and without France's participation, Britain, which is short of manpower, will definitely not be able to keep with us

Kerim, full name Muhammad. Root. Abdul. Krim. Haitaibi was born in the village of Ajdir in the mountains of northern Morocco, to the Sharif (i.e., saintly) family of the Idris dynasty. His father was a well-known tribal judge (or local chieftain) who was religiously and culturally educated from an early age, and was fluent in Berber (Note 1), Arabic and Spanish. In 1905, Kerim entered the University of Karaviin to study Islamic law, where he studied Islamic culture in depth and was deeply influenced by progressive ideas. He opposed the feudal secession at that time and advocated the unification of the country and the nation.

After graduating in 1908, Kerim moved to the Spanish city of Melilla. He worked first in the Indigenous Office, then as a faculty member at the Arab College, where he was responsible for the Arabic editorial of the Reif Telegraph. In 1915, he became a judge of the city's Sharia. In 1912, the governments of France and Spain forced Morocco and Sudan to sign an unequal treaty that divided four-fifths of the country's territory into "protected areas" between the two countries. In 1916, Krim was criticized for condemning the Spanish colonial authorities for the Rif region (Rif is a Moroccan province that is predominantly mountainous and has a small population but a strong people. He was arrested and imprisoned, but later released, and devoted himself to the armed struggle against the Western colonizers. In 1920, Spanish colonial troops invaded the Rif area. Krim was armed with his father's organization. He was chosen as a military leader by the Uriagle tribe and led the army to block the enemy army, opening the prelude to the Reeve uprising

At the beginning of 1921, General Sylvester, the supreme military commander of Spanish Morocco, made an arrogant claim to the King of Spain. He will quickly end the Moroccan war. He personally led an army of nearly 30,000 men. Relying on the superiority in troops and weapons. Make a long drive to the Rif Mountains. The Spanish army burned and looted all the way, which aroused the great anger of the people of Rif and asked for war from the newly succeeded leader of the Krim. Determined to defend his hometown to the death.

On the night of 1 June, Kerim led 300 fighters to attack the enemy forces that had not gained a firm foothold, and won the first battle, destroying 400 of the enemy, recovering Dar Abara and capturing a large amount of supplies. Encouraged by this victory, Moroccan mercenaries who had joined the Spanish colonial army defected to the Rif army, and some of the previously wavering tribes of the Lie tribes were also gathered under the banner of Krim. In a short period of time, the Reeve army quickly grew to 3000 people.

On 21 July, the Reeve army and civilians made persistent efforts to meet the main force of the Western Army led by Sylvester as they advanced into the city of Anuaal. Kerim first sent a small detachment to cut off the supply lines of the Western Army, uprooted the surrounding strongholds, and gradually encircled them. Reeve's army was inferior in numbers, but it held the main road and avoided the real and attacked the weak, making the artillery and cavalry of the Western Army useless. Sylvester surrendered in a difficult situation, the surrender of the shot was represented, and the Rif army launched a general attack in anger. As a result, in just six days, the Reeve Army, with a strength of 5,000 men, annihilated more than 14,700 Western Army troops, captured 139 cannons, more than 400 machine guns, and more than 39,000 rifles, in addition to a lot of food and other daily necessities.

After Sylvester committed suicide in defeat, the Rif army pursued the victory to Mount Arui. On 6 August, the remnants of General Navarro's 3,000-strong Western Army surrendered to the Rif Army. One and a half years later, the Republic of Rif was proclaimed, and the war shook Europe, and the press at the time called it the "Anuar tragedy", which was also the biggest defeat of Western colonizers in modern times.

In 1923, the central and eastern part of Rif were unified, and Krim became the emir of Rif after being confirmed by the tribal assembly, proclaiming the independent state of Rif with the capital of Ajdir. Kerim carried out a series of political, military, judicial and other reforms.

On the political front, he advocated the establishment of a constitutional republic and the achievement of national independence, freedom and equality. The National Oath was developed as Reeve's platform for governance. On the military side, Klim established a standing army in Reif, a new air force and artillery (most of the Jishu soldiers were recruited by the Spanish soldiers who had been persuaded by him), a military service system, and a military intelligence agency. In the area of justice, the customary laws of the tribes and the local arbitration courts have been abolished, the Qur'an and the Hadith have been established as legislative norms, a uniform Islamic law has been introduced, a national prison and a local court have been established, the emir has appointed qadi, judicial independence has been exercised, and qadi have tried criminal cases and civil disputes in accordance with the law, without the intervention of tribal chiefs. In addition, religious and cultural schools have been established to nurture a wide range of human resources.

Although the Republic of Rif showed signs of prosperity in all aspects, it was only a small country with a population of only a few million, but Spain and France, who were afraid of Krim, joined forces and sent an army with a total strength of more than 400,000 troops and a large number of warships and planes to strangle the new Republic of Reif in the cradle

After nearly three years of hard fighting and the death of more than 70,000 officers and soldiers, the Franco-Spanish army finally occupied the entire territory of Reif, and more than 70,000 of Krim (except for less than 10,000 veterans, the rest were temporarily recruited after the Franco-Spanish army launched the war. The army suffered casualties, he was forced to surrender to France, and he himself was exiled to Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean

Note 1: The Berbers are a Semitic-speaking Berber language group in Northwest Africa. In fact, the Berbers are not a single ethnic group, they are a collective term for a large number of tribal people who share similar cultural, political and economic lives. The term Berber comes from the Latin word barbari. There are about 14 million to 25 million Berber speakers in North Africa, mainly in Morocco and Algeria, and a minority can go as far east as Egypt and as far south as Burkina Faso, and Chinese who know little about Arab Shijie tend to mistake Berbers for Arabs, but Berbers are only culturally close to Arabs, somewhat similar to the relationship between ancient Koreans and Chinese.
