Our current location is Xiaolongtan, which is 2,300 meters above sea level, located at the foot of the Golden Monkey Ridge, quiet and cool, and the scenery is pleasant. There is also a wildlife rescue station. As we all know, the golden snub-nosed monkey is a unique and rare animal in China. According to their distribution area, they are called Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey, Yunnan golden snub-nosed monkey, and Guizhou golden snub-nosed monkey. The golden snub-nosed monkey of Shennongjia belongs to the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey, which is the most widely distributed and thriving of the three species of golden snub-nosed monkey in China. It is sensitive and gentle. Compared with the gray-black golden snub-nosed monkey and the brown-black Yunnan golden snub-nosed monkey, the adult Sichuan snub-nosed monkey is dressed in soft and fine, shiny golden yellow hair, and is a veritable golden snub-nosed monkey, and the prototype of the legendary Monkey King Sun Wukong is the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey.
