This list is basically based on our practical experience and considering the needs of actual combat...... In fact, it is not difficult to do this, we basically make some modifications to the current firepower configuration of the infantry. Almost all of the ordinary infantry now have been tested by war, which means that their current firepower configuration is precisely to be able to suppress the Vietnamese army on the battlefield, or it can also be said to be the most reasonable configuration.

A BATTALION OF ORDINARY INFANTRY GENERALLY HAS FIVE COMPANIES, NAMELY THREE INFANTRY COMPANIES, AN ARTILLERY COMPANY (A BATTALION MORTAR COMPANY, EQUIPPED WITH 60MM OR 80MM MORTARS), AND A MACHINE GUN COMPANY.

Facts have proved that such a firepower configuration is also relatively reasonable on the battlefield, but because the airborne troops have changed the artillery company and machine gun company into a platoon because of umbrella and maneuver, so this firepower is inferior to even ordinary infantry.

After discussing with Chief Staff Officer Zhao Jingping, I felt that the firepower of the Airborne Forces should not only be weaker than ordinary infantry, but also stronger than ordinary infantry.

In addition, the parachute method of separating equipment from people mentioned earlier is indeed effective...... This point has been verified by Chen Shengde's old paratroopers, who are experts in parachuting, so this ceiling and this new parachuting method can only be challenged by them, for which Chen Shengde's troops have several units slightly injured.

The reason for the injuries was that the challenge was endless, and when they knew that this method could overcome the lack of bearing capacity of the wing to some extent and increase the equipment they carried, they would constantly challenge new ceilings, and the most common thing was that several fighters suffered some minor injuries due to the excessive impact of the landing. It was finally determined that this method would allow each fighter to carry an extra five to seven kilograms of equipment. And it's safe to parachute with these equipment. In other words, the maximum bearing capacity of the wing is pulled up by a few kilograms.

Don't look at five to seven kilograms, it's just a tiny number. If each of the more than 100 people in a company carries an extra five or seven kilograms, that is six or seven hundred kilograms of ammunition or equipment, and this will undoubtedly greatly expand the airborne troops' demand for heavy equipment.

On the other hand, it is also because we want to build a paratrooper with helicopters and jeeps, which can replenish some heavy equipment for the airborne troops.

This helicopter is much more convenient than a transport plane, which has to be airdropped if it wants to replenish equipment or ammunition for the airborne troops, and the airdrop may not be able to reach the target position, and the wind may drift to the enemy's side. The helicopter is directly hoisted at a low altitude. Jeeps can not only increase the firepower of the Airborne Forces but also help the troops to transport ammunition, so the firepower of the Airborne Forces can naturally be raised to the level of infantry.

But we also know that it is not enough to raise the level of the infantry.

On the one hand, this is because the new parachute has already landed, and this is the news from Li Li's side, and the US side has agreed to our military to provide information on the second-generation paratrooper parachute.

On this point, Zhao Jingping's idea is that our paratrooper parachute parachute is too backward...... The Yankees are two generations behind, so the Yankees are not wary of our paratroopers at all, and casually provide us with some materials that have been eliminated by them, so that we don't have to worry about being caught up by us, and we can do a good job of showing Sino-US cooperation.

For us, of course, this is still advantageous and harmless, and it is precisely because of the fact that new wings will be equipped in the near future...... Equipping the new parachute means that the carrying capacity of the parachute will be further increased, which means that we will be able to carry more equipment. From this point of view, we should also equip the Airborne Forces with more heavy equipment, so that one day the new parachute will enter service. We won't be unprepared.

On the other hand, the airborne troops are different from ordinary infantry, and the nature of their mission of going deep behind enemy lines determines that the paratroopers must be well equipped in all aspects, otherwise they are likely to suffer great losses on the battlefield because of their "shortcomings."

For example, no matter how strong the firepower and quality of the airborne troops are, they are pressed by the enemy because they do not have suitable anti-tank and anti-armor weapons, or they are restrained everywhere because they do not have snipers.

So we divided a battalion of the Airborne Forces into two infantry companies, a sniper company, an artillery company (armed with 60 guns and 82 guns), a machine gun company (armed with heavy machine guns and anti-aircraft machine guns, and Red Sword 73 anti-tank missiles), and six helicopters were used to match it.

The reason why it is six helicopters is because we have come to the conclusion in previous training that the straight five changes are suitable for groups of three each.

THESE SIX HELICOPTERS EACH CARRY A BEIJING JEEP, THAT IS, THERE ARE SIX BEIJING JEEPS AS AUXILIARY TRANSPORT VEHICLES FOR THE INFANTRY, AND THESE JEEPS ARE ALSO EQUIPPED WITH ANTI-AIRCRAFT MACHINE GUNS, CARRYING 100MM, 120MM MORTARS AND OTHER HEAVY EQUIPMENT NEEDED BY THE AIRBORNE TROOPS.

This brings us to the problem......

To form such a regiment, this ordinary infantry is better to say, there are a large number of infantry in the Airborne Forces.

But in fact, it is not easy to say at all, because the infantry we need is the kind of infantry that can report the coordinates of the artillery.

In the sniper company, there is a difficulty at this point, this is not to say that the sniper rifle is not enough, in fact, at this time, the 79 type sniper rifle of our army, that is, the imitation of the SVD, has entered mass production, although the number of mass production at the beginning is not very large, but it is not difficult to equip a regiment, especially the airborne troops who are called "the pride of the sky".

The difficulty is that there are not many fighters who can become snipers.

Then there is also a need for a group of talents who can use the Hongjian-73 anti-tank missile, knowing that the Hongjian-73 is the first generation of anti-tank missiles...... The characteristics of equipping this thing are like this, the more advanced the thing, the less skill it requires. Just like the cameras in our lives, the old-fashioned cameras that we used in the past are basically professionals. With the advancement of technology and the upgrading of cameras, it has now become a point-and-shoot machine that everyone can use.

The same is true for anti-tank missiles, which means that it is not easy to master this Red Sword 73, and if this thing is put in the hands of ordinary people, it can basically be said to be a waste.

The most difficult thing is that you need a group of helicopter pilots......

Most of the planes used by the airborne troops are transport planes such as the Y-5 and Y-6, which are convenient for parachuting, isn't it? As for helicopters, there were, but only a few were allocated to field hospitals to transport the wounded.

So as soon as our list was opened, Staff Officer Li was dumbfounded.

"Battalion Commander Yang!" Staff Officer Li said: "You want as many as you want this infantry, but this sniper, an airplane, and an anti-tank missile shooter...... We don't have so many troops, even if we gather these talents in the entire army, I'm afraid we won't be able to get together what a regiment needs! ”

It's just that I still don't know why they have hatred for us.
