One hundred and twenty-two, the second wave of the offensive

We moved all the sandbags and armament boxes in the research institute to the top floor, and assumed a simple fortification around the perimeter of the top floor. The Zebra removed the on-board machine gun from our car and moved to the top floor to face the direction of the main road to meet the enemy vehicles.

Duck and Marco also used some of the materials in their base to connect the unusable vehicles left over from the previous wave of NPC attacks to create a temporary barricade.

In just 30 minutes, all we could do was build these simple fortifications, block the main road, and strengthen the defense of the rooftop. In terms of staffing, the rooftop is equipped with zebras as firefighters to deal with vehicles, and Marco and I serve as observers and snipers; Duck and the remaining three members of our team were responsible for observation and fire support in each of the four directions inside the building. Seven people defending such an area is really enough.

When the time was up, sure enough, this time there was another car coming in from the main road in front of it, and the NPCs liked to go straight. While Marco and Zebra were focused on the road ahead, the thought of an enemy coming somewhere else crossed my mind. Since coming to this game world, this inexplicable intuition of mine has appeared more and more frequently, and it is also very accurate, so I trust my intuition without thinking too much now, without any doubt.

I raised my gun and looked around, and sure enough, in addition to the direction of the main road at this entrance, the enemy NPC also arranged for two teams of infantry to approach from the rear and two sides. Their mode of action is very intelligent and humane, wearing camouflage uniforms, hiding in the bushes and vegetation to advance slowly, forming a front and rear flanking tactic with the enemy attacking in front. I used to think that the NPCs had a high single-player combat ability, but they basically didn't have too high cooperative combat ability, but this time the tactics they showed really surprised me.

After informing the partners who were fighting together, the defensive arrangement became that Zebra and the three people downstairs were responsible for the front vehicles, while the rear was for me and Marco for sniping, and the people downstairs were responsible for fire cover.

I heard the sound of multiple heavy machine guns, it seems that this time the enemy vehicle is equipped with a vehicle-mounted machine gun, but I can't worry about the enemy in front of me, and the NPC in the rear comes out of the bushes and makes a move.
