Chapter 162: Exercise (5)

Later, I learned that this worry was unnecessary, because Chen Yiyi and Chen Qiaoqiao had already helped us solve this problem.

Chen Qiaoqiao is such a person, she used to be the commander of a Vietnamese secret service company, so it is not too common for her to engage in reconnaissance and sabotage behind enemy lines, how could she not think of such a thing?!

Her method is to confuse the enemy so that they don't know what she's trying to scout.

For example, their main reconnaissance mission now is the Red Army tank regiment and the Red Army artillery position, and according to the general practice of scouts, it is to go straight to the position where the tank regiment and artillery position are possible. This may indeed be efficient, and the task can be completed in the shortest possible time, and the position of the target can be grasped.

But......

What the battlefield wants is results, and by doing so, we are also telling the enemy that our target is the tank regiment and artillery positions, so that the enemy can move the tank regiment and artillery positions in advance, and even worse, the enemy will lay traps for us to throw themselves into the net.

Chen Qiaoqiao didn't do this, she went straight to the ammunition depot of the Red Army or the division and regiment headquarters, and even did it very secretively in the process, making a foolish appearance and then pretending that something was wrong and accidentally letting the Red Army find out.

In this way, the Red Army would have two reactions:

The first reaction is to strategically think that the target of the Blue Army is the ammunition depot or the division and regiment headquarters, after all, these targets are also important and often the target of airborne troops.

The second instinct was to track down the Blues' reconnaissance force and annihilate it, otherwise it was impossible to tell where it would be to cause some trouble.

Unexpectedly, this fell for Chen Qiaoqiao's plan, and Chen Qiaoqiao pretended to be chased by the Red Army reconnaissance troops. But in fact, it was to take the opportunity to reconnoiter the location of the Blue Army's tank regiments and artillery positions everywhere in the process. At this time, he was chased by the Red Army. So the Red Army did not doubt at all that tank regiments and artillery positions were the main targets of the Blues.

It's just that what Chen Qiaoqiao didn't expect was that the Red Army scouts were not vegetarians...... The 38th Army was originally one of the best ace troops of our army, so of course their scouts also had two hands, so they chased Chen Qiaoqiao and his party very wolf, and on two occasions they were almost surrounded and annihilated.

Of course, these are Chen Qiaoqiao's things, and I don't need to worry about it as a battalion commander, what I need to worry about is how to lead the synthetic battalion to fight the battle in front of me.

Our target was the tank regiments of the Red Army.

The reason why we chose the tank regiment was because at the meeting all the cadres thought that it would be more difficult to sneak up on the tank regiment.

It should be said that there is some truth in this statement, and the tank is the king of land warfare. And those of us who go to sneak attack the tank regiment are pure infantry in addition to helicopters, and it can even be said that they are pure infantry who lack anti-tank equipment.

However, I think that as long as the timing is well grasped and the various arms cooperate well, it will be easier to sneak attack the tank regiment, but the other cadres don't believe anything, and they all say that the task of the sneak attack on the tank regiment is none other than our synthetic battalion, so I have nothing to say.

Facts also proved that my thinking was correct, and the Red Army tank regiment was completely powerless to fight back against our sudden sneak attack.

Of course, this is a drill and cannot be really fought. So it can't be said to be entirely true.

Our operation procedure was to pause when our synthetic battalion arrived at the tank regiment base to launch a sneak attack, and then the director team spaced the two units apart. The tank base, which was originally a place where the Red Army tanks were parked, was replaced with targets or a few abandoned tanks, and the tank regiment mainly tested their reactions.

In the end, the director team judged the result according to the offensive steps, reactions and firepower of both sides.

Needless to say, our offensive steps are like a rocket from the tank base of the Red Army as soon as it was used in training, and the purpose of this rocket is not only to hit the tanks and living forces of the Blue Army, but in fact, it is more important to achieve the kind of shocking effect that preempts the people.

This is a deep experience for us veterans, people are often like this, if you let the war develop slowly, that is, first to warm up and prepare, then shoot, throw a few grenades, and then shoot artillery or something...... That will make people feel that the battlefield is just like that, and the frog is boiled in warm water step by step!

But if there is a sudden and violent bombardment at the beginning of the fight, the shocking effect is like throwing a frog into boiling water, which will make people startled and then confused, and then there will be a long time when they will not be able to think normally or respond correctly to the war in time.

This is the reason why wars often begin with a burst of heavy artillery bombardment, and the fact that we have a rocket on the field actually has the same effect.

More than 10 helicopters and hundreds of rockets poured into the tank base, and the tank base was blown up into a sea of fire in an instant.

The helicopters then split into several parts, one of which continued to bomb and strafe the barracks of the base, one part of which served as a cover mission, and the other part of which quickly launched a rappelling landing.

I landed on the second group of cables, which is theoretically the safest...... The first ones are responsible for clearing the way, and it is easy to be

Maybe it was because I knew that the defense of the straight five changes was insufficient, or because I didn't have a down-to-earth feeling on the rickety helicopter, so I couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief as soon as my feet landed...... It's cool on the ground, although there will inevitably be a rain of bullets on the ground, but these are almost controllable for us veterans.

Immediately after that, the battle formation was unfolded, and the troops were consciously divided into three parts:

Part of the assault barracks...... Tanks are not important to us, tanks are dead and alive, tanks need people to drive, tanks that no one drives or even tanks that are not full of staff are not much of a threat to us. The soldiers of our synthetic battalion have all learned to drive tanks, and they know that the commander, gunner, driver, etc. need to work closely together to operate a tank flexibly, so at this time, we first aim at people rather than tanks.

Part of it is responsible for fighting tanks.

In this part, they are holding anti-tank equipment, such as bazookas and recoilless guns. We didn't bring anti-tank missiles this time, because this time we launched a surprise attack on tanks, that is, fighting unprepared tank regiments at close range, while anti-tank missiles are long-distance tanks, which are not only inconvenient to carry, complicated to operate, time-consuming, costly, and completely unnecessary.

There is no absolutely good equipment on the battlefield, only suitable equipment, so we don't want to eliminate anti-tank missiles.

The task of this part of the fighters is to destroy some tanks as soon as they are barely activated.

The third part is responsible for blowing up the tanks that don't move.

It's a simple but dangerous task, and to put it mildly, it's just throwing a grenade or two into the cockpit of a tank. It is said that it is dangerous because while they climb into the tank and throw grenades inside, it is very likely that they will run into the enemy face-to-face and the tankers are in a hurry to drill in, so problems such as hand-to-hand combat or confusion of recognition are inevitable in this dark night.

My solution was to have them work in pairs, one with an AK74 for cover and the other for climbing into the tank and throwing grenades.

As for the tank units of the Red Army, as soon as their tankmen were almost blocked in the barracks by our helicopters and infantry, even if some tankmen ran out of the barracks relatively quickly, they would encounter the fighters who blew up the tanks, and even if some tankers climbed into the tanks faster and drove the tanks, they would also encounter the fighters responsible for fighting the tanks, and this part of the tanks was basically impossible to be full, that is, the tanks could not operate normally, so there was no pressure on the anti-tank fighters of our army to fight at all.

More importantly...... In this era, our army's 59 basically did not have the ability to fight at night, which we are very clear about, and its night vision device can barely see the highway clearly, and it is simply impossible to distinguish between friend and foe in this chaotic state of friend and foe. So even if the tank is full, in this case it is just an excellent target for bazookas and recoilless guns.

Therefore, from these conditions and whether our army is prepared to fight or not, coupled with the almost perfect coordination of all arms when our synthetic battalion simulates the attack, the director team's judgment on this surprise attack is that the synthetic battalion is completely victorious. And the tank regiments of the Red Army were almost completely annihilated.

The reason why the word "almost" is used is because one company of the tank regiment, that is, 12 tanks, was pulled by the infantry to cover the fire and attack the high ground where the airborne troops were stationed.

We moved so fast that by the time the infantry arrived to reinforce us ten minutes later, we were already in retreat.

Of course, the infantry of the Red Army could not stop us, and the anti-aircraft machine guns from the helicopters easily stopped them behind in a burst of strafing fire.

Compared with the ease of our sneak attack on the tank regiment, the troops of Regiment Commander Wu who sneak attacked the artillery positions are not so easy, the main reason is that the scale of these artillery positions is not small, and there is still a considerable distance between the guns, and the artillery is completely hidden in the bushes or camouflaged with camouflage nets, so don't look at the artillery is such a big one, but it is difficult to distinguish in the dark night.

Coupled with the fact that each artillery position was protected by a considerable amount of infantry, the three units that attacked the artillery positions were in a bitter battle.

However, fortunately, the Blue Army had the helicopter as a killing weapon, coupled with the firepower advantage of the Airborne Forces to be equipped with Type 81, so in the end, the Red Army's artillery units suffered heavy losses. (To be continued......)
