34 My Freedom

The period of filial piety of the first emperor was three years.

Within three years, entertainment was banned, and imperial examinations were banned.

The imperial examination can be banned, but how can entertainment be banned?

It was very strict at the beginning, but slowly no one took care of it, and the Greater Chang'an District was still lively.

I visited Gyeonggi Province and Dachangan, and it felt like it was my hometown.

Although I am from the Central Plains, I have no impression of the Central Plains at all.

How great the word "Central Plains" is, the birthplace of China (written in the King James Law, but denied in the forbidden book, saying that the Holy Land is), reminds people of the endless plains, with the momentum of Kyushu Gongwei and the four seas.

When I say I'm from the Central Plains, I mean I was born on the south bank of the Yellow River – does it mean anything else?

What is the essence of being a "Central Plains person"?

Is it blood, geography, or culture?

I haven't been to the Central Plains, I don't know her face, and I don't know her connotation.

If my small village is all of the Central Plains, it will be the sorrow of the Central Plains.

Why do I say I'm from the Central Plains?

Because of that ridiculous, discarded "Central Plains Household Registration Certificate"?

Amusing!

I always find a reason to go out and visit the whole of Gyeonggi.

Gyeonggi Province, formerly known as Shaanxi Province and referred to as Qin, is long from east to west and short from north to south.

To the north is the Xiliang Plateau, which is also the Xiliang Grassland, which is almost as large as the North China Plain. The Xiliang grassland, the Mongolian grassland, the western Liaoning, and the eastern Liaodong grassland are actually connected, and hundreds of millions of herdsmen graze no less than tens of billions of horses on them. These were the main cavalry of the Ming Dynasty.

The southern part of Gyeonggi is the Qinba Mountains, bordering the Sichuan Basin.

Sichuan is a large province with a population of 300 million. In fact, the imperial court could not control Sichuan, but the common people of Sichuan still liked to do business with the mainland, and they secretly crossed the Great Wall of Sichuan to the mainland. Many of the imperial and forbidden armies also came from Sichuan, after all, Sichuan is really small and has a lot of people, and it is said that the Sichuan court is more ruthless than the imperial court (oh, they call the imperial land the mainland).

The western part of Gyeonggi Province is bordered by the Tibetan Sacred Mountain.

That was the first time I saw a snow-capped mountain, or iceberg, because I drove to the point where there was no way to go, and when I looked up, a plateau formed by a huge ice sheet appeared above me. The snow-capped mountains are so high that the birds have to be evacuated, and the clouds are only up to their waists, and the sunlight cannot penetrate them.

I looked at it, imagining the scene of the Holy Land, imagining how people would leave the Holy Land when the world was destroyed and resurrected.

The south side of the holy mountain is pregnant with the Yangtze River, the first river of the Ming Dynasty, and the Yellow River, the mother river of the Ming Dynasty, is given birth to the north side. The Yellow River flows from west to east, descends from the sacred mountains in the north, passes through the Loess Plateau in the middle, circles around the northern part of Gyeonggi, and finally exits Tongguan.

From south to north, from east to west, every piece of land in Gyeonggi Province is thriving and full of people.

In the spring of Gyeonggi, there is less precipitation and a lot of wind and sand, and it seems that it suddenly becomes hot from the cold winter, and the poplars turn green overnight; The summer is hot, but the rainfall is abundant, and the willow trees are swaggering along the Yellow River; Autumn is colorful, cool but wet, and everything is abundant; Winter is dry and cold with little snow, and people celebrate the festival at this time.

It is said that Gyeonggi was not such a paradise a long time ago.

In ancient times, the Yellow River flooded every year, and the Loess Plateau was full of ravines, winds and sands, and barren fields. Later, the royal family (written so in the royal law, I read it with laughter) worked hard to borrow the seeds of immortality from heaven, and mobilized their subjects to cultivate the whole of Gyeonggi into a gentle field, and Gyeonggi became the land of Yongxing, and the royal family was praised by people for generations.

I don't think so. What's the point of having fewer people? If there is more food, there will naturally be more people, but there is still not enough food; There is less food, and there is still not enough natural food.

It's all about population. There will be less land, not more, and so will food, but the population has always increased. How does it happen that if each couple has ten children, it can multiply from two people to four billion people in a few hundred years, while the population remains the same for tens of thousands of years?

This is a headache for me. I flipped through a lot of books and had no answers; I ask others, and they treat me as idiots; I went to the countryside to ask the villagers, but the villagers kowtowed and did not speak.

Chang'an was quite quiet this year.

Emperor Zhu Honghua continued his imperial life, this person especially likes to celebrate, celebrating various festivals in three days, the imperial calendar, the lunar calendar, such as the lunar Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, the twenty-four solar terms of the imperial calendar, and so on.

He gives himself a certificate of merit every day, as if he has played at home.

He also took in hundreds of imperial concubines of the scholar clan and established a good relationship with the major scholar clans in the world.

He also threw 100,000 palace maids into the palace, and the harem was overwhelmed and then ushered in a superficial peace.

There was chaos in the palace.

The new governor, Liu Xingchao, did not have as many rules as the former governor, Li Yongfu, and he spent his days studying all sorts of things with his elite guild – that is, us – and did not care much about anything else.

The head of the palace gradually became the emperor's personal eunuch Ma Jiahui - the original minister of the crown prince, who played with the emperor since childhood. Unlike most civil servants, who are emasculated as adults, this person has been emasculated since childhood, so no one has any manliness, and his voice is thinner and quieter than that of a woman. He is now only in charge of the trivial affairs of the palace, although he is also the deputy supervisor of the forbidden army, he can't even command a forbidden army, and even the command of the imperial officials is a little difficult. We listened to him, but with an attitude of not causing trouble.

Whenever there is a big change in the personnel of the court, the worst thing is the people outside, because they have to feed this group of new people again.

After more than two years of self-exploration, I have become a master of bribery.

How to take bribes? When you receive 1,000 gold dollars, you are a corrupt criminal, you will die a miserable death, and everyone will stand up and testify that you are innocent; When you receive 10,000 gold, you are a normal official, and no one looks at you as if you don't exist; When you receive 100,000 gold, you become an example of honesty for everyone, and everyone says that you have a clean sleeve; When you receive a million gold, many people will write to the court to reward your loyalty, filial piety and honesty, and to set up a monument for you.

If you are afraid, it means that you have taken too little bribe, and you have to continue to take bribes and bribes to bring everyone else in.

When the surroundings are either bribe-taking or bribery-giving, this is a stable and peaceful and prosperous world.

I'm actually in the middle stage, it's not that I'm incapable, it's not that I don't like money, I just don't like people praising me, praising me for being loyal and honest will make me blush.
