Of course, the literal prison is not limited to the cantata. Zhu Yuanzhang believes in Buddhism and respects the Indian monk Shi Laifu the most. Shi Laifu said goodbye and returned to China, and wrote a thanksgiving poem before leaving, which has two sentences in the poem: "The special domain and self-shame, no virtue to praise Tao Tang." The meaning is obvious, he was born in a foreign country (special domain), he was ashamed that he was not born in China, and he felt that he was not qualified to sing the praises of the emperor. But Zhu Yuanzhang's explanation was different, he said: "Shu, it clearly refers to me as 'bad Zhu'." No virtue, obviously means that I have no morality. So Shi Laifu changed from a guest to a prisoner and was beheaded.
From these examples, it can be seen that who the emperor wants to kill can be interpreted arbitrarily and blamed at will. If there is something good at the top, it must be done at the bottom. If those in power have this penchant, it will be a disaster for intellectuals, and in addition to being "falsely accused of rebellion", there is also an additional crime that belongs purely to the literal.
