Chapter 707: Distinct
PS: Thank you for the tips of the book friends "Wangyun Mountain People" and "Quancheng People", and continue to ask for recommendation votes ^_^
It is worth mentioning that the Germans also occupied the city of Nikolaev, one of the three major shipbuilding bases of the Soviet Union, and due to the extremely fast advance and the adventurous tactics of large-scale airborne landing, they successfully prevented the shipyard employees from completely destroying it before retreating, and relatively intact obtained two Soviet-class battleships with more than half of the hulls on the dock and one Kronstadt-class battlecruiser "Sevastopol" whose hull was almost completed
Historically, due to the weak foundation of the shipbuilding industry, coupled with the fact that capital ships have not been built for more than a generation, the design and construction of Soviet-class battleships and Kronstadt-class battlecruisers encountered great difficulties. These high-quality steels were used to make weapons and ammunition for the front-line armies, but they were not used more fully.
But in this time and space, because the Soviet Union's industrial strength and scientific and technological level are much stronger than in history, and it has also obtained a lot of Jishu information from the Chinese Red Party, the design and construction progress of these two ship types is much faster than in history, and the outbreak of the Soviet-German war is more than a year later than in history, so the completion of these three giant ships is much higher than when they were captured by the German army in history. At the same time, because the Germans advanced more rapidly, the damage to the three hulls was far less severe than in history. Even the two major shipyards in the city of Mykolaiv can be restored with only a few minor repairs.
Therefore, upon hearing the news, the German Navy immediately dispatched German shipbuilding experts and shipyard workers to Ukraine, hoping to use the ready-made facilities of the two major shipyards in Nikolaev to complete the three giant ships. At that time, it was time for the Far Eastern Fleet to return home, and Germany had a full 6 battleships and 3 battlecruisers, plus those 5 aircraft carriers, which were fully capable of confronting the American and British navies head-on.
The mustache was also excited for a while, but because of the many flaws in the design of the three Soviet warships, the German shipbuilding experts always looked down on the Soviet Union's original students (the Soviet shipbuilding talents were basically cultivated by Germany during the Soviet-German cooperation), and made great improvements to their original designs, which was not a bad thing, but it delayed time. This was really terrible during the Shijie War
It is worth mentioning. After the occupation of Ukraine, the German SS began to openly hunt down Jews in various occupied territories, including them, and capture them in concentration camps or even to kill them outright. In Ukraine alone, the Nazi SS massacred tens of thousands of people in just a few days
The Nazis, who had grown increasingly arrogant as a result of successive victories, no longer concealed their anti-human fascist face, and as a result, not only failed to frighten the peoples of the occupied territories. On the contrary, it inspired their sense of rebellion. It also provided ready-made propaganda materials for the media of the allies. The Chinese government, on the other hand, severed relations with Germany ahead of schedule. So it didn't get much blame, of course, for the more important reason. The allies did not want to create another strong enemy in the already unfavorable situation of the war situation
While Germany's ultra-racist policies did not do any harm to their control of the occupied territories, there were still locals who were willing to serve the Germans, some of whom were even more loyal than many German soldiers, and this was certainly a matter of interest, but the greater motivation was often hatred
The citizens of the three Baltic states are bent on revenge and the elimination of the threat to their homeland forever because the Soviet Union had destroyed their homeland before; As for the Poles who also chose to take part in the war against the Soviet Union, it was not only for the hatred of the country and the festival between the two countries that it was "since ancient times"; In Ukraine, which is the core of the Soviet Union, it is clearly divided into two factions, most of the citizens support the Soviet government, and after the fall of the cities, they even go down to the countryside to fight guerrillas, while the Ukrainian peasants, especially the rich peasants and middle peasants in the past, show a strong hatred of the Soviet regime, and the puppet army they organized killed even more partisans than the German army.
It is also easy to understand why this situation occurred, most of the citizens of the Soviet Union were working class, they were the ruling class of the Soviet Union, and the income and political status of the workers of no country in today's Shijie could be compared (Note 1), and the middle and lower class intellectuals such as engineers and teachers also lived happily after two and five years. Therefore, they were as strong as the working class in supporting the Soviet government. Moreover, because of the relatively higher level of education, the national consciousness of the citizens is generally stronger than that of the peasants, which is also an important motivation for them to persist in the struggle.
This was not the case with the peasants in the Soviet Union, unlike the Chinese Revolution, which relied largely on the peasants to achieve victory, because in the October Revolution Soviet Russia basically relied entirely on the working class and the old army to seize power, the peasants' help was very limited, and after the establishment of the new regime, most of the richer peasants did not cooperate with the government's grain requisitions, and even fought fiercely. Therefore, although the CPSU had a sickle pattern in its flag, it often regarded the peasants, especially the relatively wealthy rich peasants and middle peasants, as the object of struggle, so it naturally did not be polite to them. This phenomenon is exacerbated by the sense of superiority of the people in the city.
Moreover, the early industrialization of the Soviet Union required capital, and the Soviet Union at that time could not plunder foreign countries like the colonizers, and there was no other way than to use scissors to mean the peasants, and this naturally aroused greater dissatisfaction among the Soviet peasants.
This problem was further exacerbated by the Holodomor in Ukraine, when it was unlikely that tens of millions of people would have died, as later Western propaganda would have been, but two or three million should have been. During that difficult period, although the citizens of Ukraine had a hard time, they basically survived thanks to the efforts of the Soviet government, that is, almost all of them died Ukrainian peasants. Therefore, it is not surprising that after the German occupation of Ukraine, so many Ukrainian peasants will betray the Soviet Union and serve the invading army
Note 1: Because of the fair distribution and the fact that they were not affected by the economic crisis, the standard of living of Soviet workers and engineers on the eve of the Soviet-German war was the highest in Shijie, and only the elite were relatively poorly treated, not to mention in terms of political status. While the subsequent collapse of the Soviet Union was to some extent related to its exorbitant welfare, the support of Soviet workers and engineers for the Soviet regime was conceivable (to be continued...... before the collapse of the welfare system)
