Chapter 166: A Short Battle
Gran never thought that Ryugu would be attacked.
The Grey Mountain region is so far away from Dragon Valley that the Dryads won't chase after this place... However, Gran saw many broken tools used by the dryads on the outskirts and inside of Dragon Valley.
"What the hellβ" Gran picked up a long gray stick between his fingers, which was supposed to be the dryad's spear.
Azure also looked at the thing and said, "Oh? Isn't this something made by the 'big tree' in the middle of the continent? "She had heard one of the older dragons of the Sea Dragons say that the wood and ore used by the dryads to make their weapons came from the Tree of Origin.
Gran was in a very uneasy mood at this time.
He also saw what looked like charred dryad corpses, and crimson and earthy dragon scales, with large holes in the ground.
He felt that there must have been many dryads who had entered Dragon Valley, and that the dryads had fought with Red and the others here.
The fight was probably fierce, and the power imprint that Red left in Dragon Valley was also triggered, and those blackened mountains were affected by the red dragon brand.
Nervously, he said to the blue: "Let's go back to the air at once, preferably high. He was worried that there were still remnants of the dryads in the Dragon Valley, so it would be better to hide in the sky when he didn't know the danger.
Gran returned to the sky and scanned the entire Dragon Valley with Azure.
Red, Ellen, Stone, Lizardfolk and Giant Eagles, they're all gone.
There were no creatures and no dryads, just a valley where many places had been destroyed.
"Where the hell have they gone?" Gran's face was distorted with unease, and he thought of the worst.
Deeply remorseful, he cried out, "Why... One year it turned out like this... Why did I leave? Gran felt that he should not force himself to continue to evolve at that time, and that he should go back to Dragon Valley after he was sobered up by Azure in the mountains and forests.
In this way, even if you can't save the lives you know, you can at least see them destroyed with your own eyes, accompany them to the end, or engrave those hatreds in your heart and pay them back in the future.
Gran gritted his teeth and stared at what the dryad had left behind.
Seeing that he was very emotionally unstable, Azure advised, "Calm down, Blake." We've only found the corpses of the dryads here, but not the dragons, which means that your companions haven't been killed. β
Gran calmed down a lot when he heard Azure's words, and sighed, "Perhaps..."
"If they weren't killed, they should have found a place to hide, where did they hide?"
Gran struggled to think about where Red might be at this point.
The volcanoes occupied by the blazing rocks, the ash mountain area, and the mountains and forests where Ston once lived are all probable.
The possibility of Blazing Rock's territory was too small, and the Ash Mountain region was too far away, so he decided to go to the mountains and forests where Ston lived first.
According to the plan he had given to Red before leaving Dragon Valley, the mountain forest was to be used as a temporary place for the races who had migrated from the Grey Mountain region to survive.
Gran said in a heavy tone, "I hope they're there." β
They flew together in the direction of the forest, and in the forest they passed through saw creatures that he was concerned about.
It was eight very large bears, covered in scars and with some gray branches.
The largest of these bears was larger than the others, and it was glaring around with a fierce look.
Gran froze when he saw the bears.
This should be a war bear, and it is a war bear clan from the Gray Mountain region.
The biggest of them, Gran, was all too familiar, the leader of the Grey Mountains and his ally.
"Those bears are my allies, and they've been attacked by the dryads." Gran spoke eagerly to Azure, "Miss Azure, please stay in the air and help me see the situation, and leave if you feel the danger." β
Azure asked, "What about you?" β
"I'll go down and help them." Gran didn't wait for Azure to agree, and flew as fast as he could to the Bear Clan on the ground.
He watched the situation carefully, wondering where the dryads who had wounded the war bears were hiding.
Gran flew next to the Bear Clan, who didn't expect a black dragon to suddenly appear, and everyone was surprised.
Gran said anxiously, "Chief, don't be too busy being surprised, I'm Black, an ally of the Bear Clan, hurry up and tell me what happened here." With that, he began to unleash Starlight Energy to heal the Bear Leader's injuries.
β... You're finally back. The Bear Leader recognized Gran, and he yelled, "Be careful, that bark bastard who appeared in Ash Mountain is probably watching you." β
"What?!" Gran looked to the left and right as he began to chant the dragon mantra, ready to meet the enemy that might appear at any moment.
An unremarkable gray arrow shot silently from the forest beside Gran, aiming it for Gran's throat.
Gran turned his head just in time to flick the arrow away with a dragon claw infused with Starlight's energy.
The arrows collided violently with the dragon scales, rubbing out sparks.
As a result, the arrow was deflected and landed at a tree, blasting a large hole in the trunk of that tree.
Gran couldn't tell the ordinaryness in this arrow, he could only feel the murderous intent.
If it weren't for the choice to deflect the arrow, but because it looked ordinary, Glenn would have been seriously injured, fulfilling the designer's intentions.
It was supposed to be a cunning dryad who shot the arrow, and it was no ordinary dryad.
Gran thought to herself, "It's that guy. γ
The Dryad Commander who led hundreds of Dryads to attack the Grey Mountain, a Dryad Dependent.
Gran spews dragon breath in an attempt to destroy nearby trees, making it impossible for the Dryad Lord to hide his form.
His dragon's breath was a large blue laser, and this laser dragon's breath contained extremely powerful power, like an incomparably sharp blade, cutting off many trees at the waist.
A figure sprang out of the woods, and the Dryad Commander rode a mighty wolf, spear in his hand, and the spear was aimed at Gran's head, intending to kill Gran with a single blow.
Gran let out a loud dragon roar, his muscles bulging, and his face glowing fiercely.
His long tail wrapped around the spear of the Dryad, and with terrifying brute force, he lifted the Dryad Leader along with the giant wolf and slammed it to the ground.
The Dryad Commander didn't rest on his laurels, his spear piercing the scales of Gran's tail, poking a bloody hole.
"How can you be so tenacious when you're so short."
Glenn spat out a large gulp of foul-smelling gas, spraying it on the Dryad Lord's face.
The Dryad Leader was so unsoothed by the gas that it felt very uncomfortable.
The little black dragon that spewed the same gas last time had ruined his plans.
As it was affected by the stench, a jet of water shot out of the air.
The water pillar cut off half of the Dryad's fingers and some of the wolf's fur along with the flesh.
"Damn, there are other descendants of the devil?" The Dryad Lord looked at the sky with resentment, and could only see a shadow, the dragon on a high level.
"Retreat." Sensing danger, the Dryad Warden drove the wolf out of the area.
"Whew." Gran watched hostilely in the direction of the Dryad Leader's departure, spewing out a small stinking of unfinished stinch.
