Chapter 229: Father and Daughter

After talking to Stone, Gran began to watch the Titans in action to pass the time.

The Titans burrowed into the ground half-through, and Gran knew they were unleashing their power, but because his Titans weren't rich enough, he couldn't figure out how they were doing, and it felt like looking at a pile of motionless rock sculptures.

Gran could stand it, but the toddlers who stayed with him couldn't, they found it boring.

Sain leaned over to Gran and asked, "How should I take care of this little girl?" โ€

Sain turned out to be the weakest group of dragons in Dragon Valley, and it was always the green dragon who took care of it, and it never took care of other dragons.

Not to mention that Red's daughter is such a special individual, and Sain feels that he can't treat her the same way he treats other draps.

"Wellโ€”" Gran doesn't really know much about this kind of thing. Anyway, when she feels lonely, you can just play games with her to pass the time, and don't let her get hurt in danger or something, that's pretty much enough. โ€

Gran knew that Sain was also a young dragon and didn't want to ask too much of him.

At this time, he quietly glanced at the little girl who was quietly playing with the rocks next to him, and Gran vaguely felt that this little girl might not be able to integrate into the Dragon Valley, she was an 'alien'.

Although Gran himself and her father Red can be considered 'outliers', he feels that the two 'outliers' do not mean the same.

He felt that this little girl would sooner or later fall into a lonely situation, and he only hoped that Ryugu could do more for her before that.

It's a pity that Gran has a lot of affairs to do now, and even the one who takes care of this little guy has to ask the young dragon Sain.

Sain responded, "Got it, I'll do my best to protect her." โ€

Gran smiled bitterly: "Needless to say, you should mainly take care of yourself." If something happens to you, Priest Grimm will kill me. โ€

"Well, what's the name of this little girl?"

Sain felt the need to know the other person's name.

โ€œ... She doesn't seem to have been named yet. Gran remembered that Red hadn't named his daughter yet, and it seemed that the Wanderers had given the girl a name in Dryad, but that name was not available to other dragons.

"I'll have to go to Red and ask for clarification."

Gran said to Red's daughter, "Come here, let's go find your father." Then he stretched out his paw and motioned for the little one to climb up.

The little one realized quickly and began to approach Gran.

"Don't touch my nails while crawling, or you might get hurt." Gran felt that his nails and thorns were too sharp after he had evolved, and it was easy to stab Red's daughter, and he would have to find a chance to sharpen it next time.

"Okay."

Rhett's daughter crawled into Gran's palm, and he carefully closed his paws to keep Rhett's daughter safely inside.

The little guy commented in a not very fluent dragon language: "The black scales are bluer than the blue... Rough. โ€

"yes." Gran knew that Azure was moving around with the little guy in a similar way. "Wait a minute, if you feel uncomfortable, remember to say it."

"Understood."

Gran then said to Stone, "If Azure comes to me later, I'll go to Big Brother." โ€

Then Gran takes Red's daughter to her father.

Red returned to Ryugu in the wee hours of the morning, and when he returned, he didn't say anything, just found an open place to rest.

Gran thinks Red might have to sleep for a while to recover.

He hoped that before then, Red would be able to name his daughter.

It took Gran a moment to find Red.

Rhett's eyes were closed and motionless, and Gran asked tentatively, "Brother Red, are you awake?" I've got something to look for you. โ€

Red opened his eyes.

"What's the matter with you?"

Gran puts Red's daughter on the ground, and as soon as the little girl lands, she hides behind Gran, grimacing at Rhett, and doesn't seem to like Rhett very much.

He sighed, "Brother Red, have you ever named your daughter?" โ€

"Nope." Red replied dryly, "Speaking of which, it's time to give her a name." โ€

Gran didn't know what to say.

Rhett observed his daughter and said calmly, "Your real name is Lena." โ€

The little girl puffed up, but didn't say anything, she accepted the name, for it sounded like the Dryad of her 'mother' name.

"You have to remember your real name, and it's one of the most important things a dragon needs to remember," Red said earnestly. He didn't know what he could teach Lena, so he was going to teach it first.

Lena didn't respond to him, still keeping that disgruntled expression.

Red ignored this and continued, "Lena, you will stay by for a while, I have something to talk to Blake. โ€

Lena didn't want to listen to Red, and she looked at Gran for his advice.

Gran smiled bitterly, "You go to the side first, and I'll talk to your father." โ€

"Oh." Lena was unhappy and ran to the side.

Gran's eyes fixed on Rena, and she began to communicate with Red.

"Brother Red, what do you want to say? About Lena. โ€

Rhett said calmly, "Yes, she seems to be closer to you than to me." โ€

"Ahh What do you mean, uh..."Gran thought Red was going to blame herself.

Red sighed, "Because you are taking care of her, in fact, she does not have to have a good relationship with me."

Do you think Lena will like the name compared to that? I had been thinking about her real name for the rest of her life since before she was born, and I wanted to communicate with her 'mother', but her mother died because of her, and I ended up choosing a name that sounded like her mother's. โ€

"I see." Gran thought that Red had come up with a random name, but he didn't expect it to be a deliberate decision.

Red looked at Lena and said slowly, "Blake, I've been going into a deep sleep lately, and it could be a long time. When the time comes, Lena and Ryugu will have to ask you to take care of her, and I hope you can help me protect her. โ€

"I think Lena will definitely achieve something, and when you let her come to me, I will leave her something before she sleeps."

Gran: "Why don't you call her now?" โ€

"Okay."

Gran brings Lena to her, and Lena stands in front of Red with a displeased expression.

A toddler who looks like a dryad stands in front of a red dragon, unbeknownst to him, and might think that Red is going to have something special.

Red and Lena looked at each other, and a circle of flames suddenly lit up around Lena.

Young Lena was at a loss for what to do, but instead of showing signs of frustration, she tried to escape the flames.

"Don't move."

Red stared at Lena, using force to immobilize her.

The flames began to gather towards Lena's head, disappearing on her skin.

She blushed, hugged her head and said, "It's hot... Dislike. Then he ducked behind Gran.

Gran knew that Red had given some of the power of the Ancestor Flame Dragon to Lena, and he was about to explain it to Red, but Red preemptively said, "Okay, let's do another thing." โ€

He preached very sincerely: "Blake, I hope that you can succeed me as the Lord of the Dragon Valley, not the acting Lord of the Valley, but the real Lord of the Dragon Valley. โ€
