And then because of this strategy...... The cadres also decided to hold a military exercise in accordance with this strategy, so that the whole army could practice this active defensive ...... And the military exercise is initially scheduled for next year.

Hearing this, I couldn't help but let out an "oh...... This is the North China Exercise. That is, the largest live-fire exercise since the founding of New China. The exercise site is the three norths: northwest, north, northeast...... If you look at the map, you can see that these three norths include the entire northern part of China...... Needless to say, the purpose of the exercises was to target a possible invasion by the Soviet Union.

I've even watched a video of this drill in modern times, and I didn't feel much when I watched it...... As I used to think, it was just acting, but now I know that there is so much more to this exercise.

There is also an international aspect, that is, military assistance to Afghanistan...... This has been decided, that is, let me take the synthetic battalion with me, but how many people, how much equipment, and what kind of equipment will be sent...... I had to wait until I came back from the expedition to Afghanistan, which gave me some time to train.

Of course. The five-day meeting was much more than that......

Another important issue is the reform of the armed forces...... In a certain respect, army reform should be the fourth point in the fight against an imaginary enemy. Because only when the army is strong in combat can it fight the imaginary enemy more effectively! Therefore, the reform of the armed forces can also be said to be the fourth point of the previous topic.

Merely...... The reform of the armed forces is imperative, even if there is no imaginary enemy...... The army also had to be changed, so it was finally separated.

As soon as this army reform is discussed, there will be many things......

For example, the problem of equipment improvement...... There are individual equipment, armored forces, air force, navy, etc., almost all arms of the equipment need to be improved and upgraded, the result of our zuihou discussion, is not to be too radical, to take it slowly.

Of course, this makes sense, because our country is now engaged in economic construction while fighting a war, and if we raise military spending by a large margin, it will inevitably affect economic construction. Disarmament can not only enhance the combat effectiveness of the troops, but also, under the condition that military expenditure is fixed, the money saved after disarmament can be used to develop modern equipment.
