Although the 419 Heights are higher than the 393 Heights, the height difference is not large, so the 393 Heights can clearly see the Vietnamese troops on the opposite hilltop position, plus our troops are still hiding in the trenches, so it is a situation where the enemy is open and I am dark. On weapons...... Although the Vietnamese army uses the M16 with a long range. But the distance between the two peaks is only more than 100 meters...... It is right to lie on the hilltop position and not move...... It's nothing to us, and we've all seen it even more terrifying...... But for those recruits, it was unacceptable. Later I heard...... At that time, the vast majority of recruits were following orders to see how we fought......

In fact, it is not so much to see how we fight, but rather that they do not believe that we can defeat those powerful Vietnamese troops with only a dozen people. Since we don't believe that we can defeat the Vietnamese army, it is conceivable that the Vietnamese army will attack them hiding in the trenches next, so they are ready to meet the attack of the Vietnamese army!

It's just that what they didn't expect was ...... What they saw was not the defeat of the Vietnamese army, but the terrible death of the Vietnamese army under the fire of our troops...... Eight out of ten of them were in the trenches and threw up, so that after a long time of fighting, they had not yet recovered.

War is like that, human life is so worthless, a few bullets can beat a living person into mud...... This is what the soldiers really can't adapt to and can't accept, because this is too different from the outlook on life in peacetime.

But it's the recruits, not us.

Recruits have reasons to sigh and vomit, and we only have one concept in our hearts: life or death.

If you don't want to die...... It's just a matter of killing the enemy.

The enemy is not dead, the enemy has not retreated...... So our mission is not done yet.

The next second after the grenade exploded, we jumped from our stealth and rushed to the top of the hill...... I didn't give orders to my soldiers, in fact, they couldn't hear the grenade explosion even if I gave the order. In other words, it all depends on the tacit understanding between each other, or the habit of so many battles.

This tacit understanding was not only between the soldiers of our platoon, but also the soldiers of the 393rd Heights who reacted accordingly as we rushed upward: the mortars stopped bombing, and the submachine guns and machine guns also changed the point of fire from the burst and raised the angle of fire.

For example, now, instead of rushing to the top of the hill in one go, we first seized the ridge line, and then threw a volley of grenades on the other side of the ridge line before rushing up.

When we rushed to the top of the hill...... I saw that there were only about 20 people left in the two platoons of Yue devils, and our bullets chased after them again, knocking down more than a dozen ...... Only a dozen Vietnamese soldiers in Zuihou escaped alive.

The reason why these dozen Vietnamese soldiers were able to flee back was not because they escaped from our range...... You must know that the theoretical range of the sniper rifle in my hand is 1,000 meters.

The reason for this was that I knew that the Vietnamese army would cover their retreat with artillery fire, so I withdrew my troops before the Vietnamese army bombarded them with mortars.
