Chapter 40: The Precious Compound Bow (Part 1)
Receiving the rant letter, the twin brothers were not in a good mood and they went listlessly to the Quidditch pitch.
William and the others left the castle and walked through the fields towards the Forbidden Forest.
Hagrid, who lives in a cabin on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, is sitting in the doorway basking in the sun, polishing a bronze composite bow.
The huge bow in Hagrid's hand, as tall as Hermione alone, glittered in the sunlight.
"Ah, William, you're here? Sit down. Hagrid excited.
William nodded, and with his wand turned the stones on the ground into four beautiful chairs.
"This is Hermione, a few of our friends." William opened his mouth to introduce.
"Hello, my name is Hermione Granger, just call me Hermione." Hermione said hurriedly.
She had met Hagrid, and he was the one who ushered in new students when she was in school.
"Hello, little one, just call me Hagrid." Hagrid lowered his bow and greeted the girl.
"I think I've heard your name, I remember, yesterday Harry and the twins' little brother came to me, and Ron mentioned you."
"Oh, what did he say?" Hermione frowned.
"Ahh......h Study seriously...... Be friendly...... Ahem......" Hagrid lied.
"Really?" Hermione looked at Hagrid with suspicion, which was clearly not something Ron would say.
In fact, neither of them cares about anyone now.
Hagrid dodged Hermione's gaze, Ron had said something bad about girls, but how could he tell her such things.
William changed the subject and asked, "Hagrid, do you still like this gift?" โ
"Yes, I like it so much, I've never been so happy." Hagrid smiled like an eight-year-old.
Hagrid's wand was hidden in a small pink umbrella, but he was not used to using a wand, preferring to use a large stone bow.
William had seen Hagrid use a stone bow many times, but the bow was only stone-polished, and the bowstring was an ordinary cowhide band, so there was nothing special about it.
So William asked Nick Lemay to use alchemy to help make a bow, and he also made ten golden bows and arrows.
Hagrid touched the bow lovingly, "It's just too precious." โ
This bow is indeed very valuable, and the bow is made of a mixture of keel and oak, with a lot of metal mixed in it.
The bowstring was made from the dragon's tendons and the unicorn's hair, and even Hagrid couldn't pull it off.
This bow and arrow also has a variety of magic attached to it, which has the effect of breaking demons and penetrating.
In terms of Hagrid's strength, if you shoot a bow and arrow, let alone armor, even the hard shells of many magical creatures will directly penetrate.
This is a cloud-piercing arrow, and thousands of troops come to meet each other.
On top of that, it's a product of alchemy made by Nick Lemay, and that's where it's valuable.
There are not many alchemical items circulating in Nick Lemay, and each one of them is priceless.
But whether it's expensive or not depends on whose hands it's in.
A custom Hogwarts map, William can sell it for 300 Galleons, but the cost is only a cowhide, and the overall cost is extreme.
Again, making a good compound bow is not a hassle for an alchemist like Nick.
But for Hagrid, it's precious.
"I still have a lot of magic materials in my room, if you need to, don't hesitate." Hagrid said happily.
Hagrid had a large amount of Forbidden Forest materials in his hands, and the unicorn hair alone was more than enough to weave a carpet.
He never sells, he piles up in the house, or takes some of the bunks and gives them to Yaya as kennels.
William nodded, and let Hagrid not be polite.
"What is this bowstring made of?" Hagrid asked curiously. "It's the first time I've come across such sturdy material, if there's a little more for me."
William coughed twice, and he didn't know what his expression would have been if he had told Hagrid that it was from his favorite dragon.
"I'll help you get some more, as for what...... Haha, I don't know either. โ
Although the dragon tendon is valuable, William has a fire dragon, and he can get a lot of it.
Moreover, he had to hurry up and make things out of the materials on the dragon's body, otherwise sooner or later he would be smuggled back into his small box by Professor Snape and hidden.
Professor Snape has been doing this shameless thing lately, William didn't see the dragon in August, and when school started, he found that one of the dragon's legs was missing.
Instead of cheapening Snape, it's better to make things for the people around you.
Cedric needed the dragon's nerves to make a wand.
Not only Cedric, but Professor Flitwick also asked William for some dragon blood.
Professor Flitwick claimed that one of his friends needed dragon blood to replenish the kidney, and although William didn't know who this friend was, it didn't prevent him from helping the professor boil some kidney-tonifying potions mixed with dragon blood.
"When I go to the Forbidden Forest in the future, I'll take this bow with me." Hagrid laughed.
The Forbidden Forest is dangerous, and Hagrid does need a powerful weapon to defend himself.
Well, for most creatures in the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid is the more dangerous creature.
After a few moments of conversation, Hagrid stood up and went to get them rock skin cakes.
They all refused by saying that they had just eaten in the morning, and no one wanted to eat rock skin cakes.
Slightly disappointed, Hagrid worked on his cooking skills over the summer and invented a chocolate cake with herring crust.
The recipe is as simple as fermenting the herring, mixing it with rock crust cakes, and adding chocolate-solid cakes.
Yesterday, Harry and Ron had said yes after eating, and Hagrid had let them take some with them before leaving.
William suddenly realized, no wonder when he met Ron yesterday, his face was pale, he walked a little unsteadily, and his legs were weak.
"Hagrid, where is Louwe?" Autumn asked, "I haven't seen it in a long time, and it won't sleep well without me singing to it......"
", you're lying to me and want to know where Lowe is."
Hagrid looked wary, it seemed that Dumbledore had told him not to tell them where a few of them were.
"What's Lowe?" Hermione wondered.
"Louwe - it's a cute puppy I bought from a Greek guy in the Leaky Cauldron last year." Hagrid smiled dotingly.
"Cuter than Bobo tea!"
Hermione let out an "oh" and had a rough idea in her head.
William smiled, "Even if you don't tell us, we know where Lu Wei is." โ
"Where?" Hagrid warned.
"It's in the restricted area on the fourth floor, isn't it?"
"What...... How do you know? โ
"Dumbledore borrowed a walk, but not in the Room of Requirement, for I was there every day making potions.
And when Headmaster Dumbledore started school, he suddenly didn't allow us to go near the corridor on the fourth floor, and you also said that Lowe was borrowed by the headmaster, so it could only be somewhere. William analyzed.
"Hagrid, why did Dumbledore put Lowe there, was he guarding something?" Cedric asked.
"No, don't try to know a word from me again." Hagrid exasperated.
"Then we're going to go on an expedition to the fourth floor tonight." Cedric laughed.
"Nope! It's dangerous there. โ
"Dangerous?"
"Yes!"
"Lowe is not dangerous at all." William laughed.
"It's just a cutie, just like Bobo Tea."
