Chapter 7: Into the Night
After sunset,
The wurm of the rock turned back into the form of a small stone mountain, and there was no movement.
Gran guessed that the Iwato Wurm wouldn't be nocturnal, but he didn't take it lightly.
'This monster can't be in disguise, is it?' Pretend to be a pile of rocks, and ravage them to death when creatures get near. ’
Gran quietly observed the stone mountain.
After a long time, several birds flew up to Stone Mountain and pecked at the moss on its rock armor, but Stone Mountain did not react.
After seeing this, Gran was a little convinced that the Ioda Wurm had begun to rest, of course, he didn't have any intention of approaching the stone mountain, and decided to take advantage of this time to stay away from it to forage.
After foraging, Gran returned to the vicinity of the Stone Mountain with his memory, and he felt that his memory had increased after the evolution, and he did not forget how to return to the pond like he did on the first day.
The birds had flown away, and the stone mountain had not changed, and it seemed to be no different from before he left.
Believing that the Iwato Wurm was asleep, Gran decided to take advantage of the time to rest himself.
He hadn't rested since the end of his evolution last night, and now he couldn't stand the sleepiness anymore, so he found a relatively thick tree and went up to rest.
The next night,
Gran expertly climbs the tree and kills a sleeping bird.
The bird guards a nest with several eggs in it.
Gran carefully carried the nest under the tree with the carcass, and it would be his dinner for the day.
After eating the carcass of the bird along with the bones, Glenn began to eat the eggs.
"Alas, you are really unlucky, and I am running into it at this time when I am hungry."
Despite this thought, Gran had no intention of sparing the eggs out of compassion.
He's been stalking the wurm again during the day today.
On this day, the Wurm did not torture creatures, he could not pick up fresh corpses to eat, and then tried to hunt birds without success.
The bird and the eggs were the first food Glenn had gotten for the day, and he was already hungry, so how could he let them go.
Crack open the eggshell and lick the egg clean, and Gran eats it deliciously.
He has basically adapted to the life of a lizard, and his foraging is getting smoother and smoother.
It's just that this kind of life still depends on luck a lot, and there will always be times when you go hungry
I had no choice but to adapt to starvation.
After tidying up the venue after the meal, Gran climbed to the vicinity of a small rock mountain.
Iwachi wurms have rested here since sunset today, showing no signs of movement at all.
So Gran officially came to the conclusion that the Iwachi wurm would not act at night.
Gran still didn't fully believe his conclusion, and spent several more days observing the rock wurm.
Spending a lot of time on this did not make him hungry, and he was a little tired from the fact that he had to move day and night.
But he felt that it was worth it, and because of his observations over the past few days, he had tentatively decided that the Iwachi wurm would not move at night and would not wake up until early in the morning.
And this monster's staple food is rocks and minerals, and it doesn't eat living things at all.
But if you are caught by this cruel monster, it will be far more painful than being used as food.
Knowing some of the monster's ecological habits, Gran felt much more relaxed, and changed his routine to rest during the day and haunt in the evening.
In the evening, he will look for the location of the Ianda Wurm and make sure that it has begun to rest, and then start moving, and will return to observe the Iwdi Wurm whenever he has free time.
He was still very uneasy about the Iwachi Wurm, who could treat such a brutal monster lightly?
With this in mind, Gran lived in the forest for a few more days.
One night,
Gran stayed in the tree and stared at the night sky.
Two full moons hang in the sky, their respective colors dyeing the sky red and blue, with a patch of purple in between.
The stars were a little dim, as if they were afraid of two full moons.
It was the most magnificent night view Glenn had ever seen, and it was a cool breeze that made him feel very comfortable.
He felt his soul unleash excitement, even though he knew it wasn't going to happen.
The only thing that bothered him was that the auditory hallucinations that had made him irritating him reappear in his mind.
He couldn't dispel the sounds in dragon language like he did last time, which would most likely wake up the Iwachi Wurm and put him in danger again.
Auditory hallucinations are at least safer than Iwdi Wurm, and he won't be crushed to death by auditory hallucinations.
During this time, Gran felt that he had figured out the monster's movements.
The only time he felt the most restless every day was when the Iwachi Wurm was awake during the day and at dusk when he waited for the Iwachi Wurmon to sleep, and he had a more comfortable time the rest of the day.
In this forest, the only people who could make him feel threatened were the adult pterosaurs.
However, adult pterosaurs do not attack him, preferring to prey on the delicate birds rather than risk attacking the larger Glan.
He no longer has to worry about being scared all day long, which makes him feel a lot more at ease.
During this time, Gran has opened the system many times, and he has accumulated 76 evolution points, but the conditions for the second evolution have not been completed until now.
The first evolution is unlocked after he has collected 10 evolution points, so should the second evolution cost 100 points, or 200 points? What about the third time, do you have to ask for 1000 points?
What should he do if he asks for 1000 points for the third time?
There is a limit to the number of evolution points that can be selected from each ingredient, and it will definitely become more and more difficult to obtain evolution points in the future, and the demand for evolution points will become more and more large.
If this continues, the need for evolution points will become a hole that he can't fill.
"I'll have to find more ways to earn evolution points."
With this goal in mind, Glenn tried to develop the system's taskbar, and so far he has only been given two missions, one to eat a large number of carrions and the other to kill rock wurm.
These are all tasks that cannot be completed at this stage.
Gran had the idea of killing the Iwatu wurm, after all, it was the greatest threat he had encountered in the forest, and if he could eradicate the monster, he would be at ease.
For this reason, he went to observe the Iwachi Wurm several times, trying to figure out a way to kill the Iwachi Wurm with his current ability.
He learned a lot about the ecological habits of the Iandi wurm, but he still couldn't find the weakness of the Iwadi wurm.
"Maybe we can move all the rocks and let the wurms either starve to death or get out of here."
The thought crossed Gran's mind, and he immediately dismissed it.
How much time would it take to move all the rocks, and if he had the ability, why would he have to worry about the rock wurm.
Gran looked at the two bright moons in the sky and fell into confusion again.
At this time,
A loud roar rang out from the forest, and countless pterosaurs and birds fled from the woods.
Gran could sense the hostility in the roar, and could tell it was the roar of a rock wurm.
"How is that possible? Isn't that monster supposed to be resting at this time? What the hell provoked it. Gran was very upset.
The sound of trees being overturned was accompanied by a continuous roar.
Gran plucked up the courage to climb down the tree, intending to use the night and the trees as cover to find out what was going on on the Wurm side of the rock.
He kept his voice to a minimum, avoiding detection by the Iwatu wurm.
Then climb to the location of the stone mountain.
suddenly
A small tree was thrown at him.
Gran narrowly dodged the attack.
Followed by
He saw orange-red eyes as large as lanterns.
And the hill-like figure.
