If you don't know the written word and can't read the Buddhist scriptures, you can also grasp the teachings of the Buddha. Most of the early Zen monks were not as literate as the Yixue Venerables, and their practice was carried out in labor, rather than in the study and promotion of the scriptures. This thought of Buddhism is a development of Shakyamuni Buddha's thought of "Buddha, enlightenment", and at the same time explains the original meaning of Shakyamuni Buddha's "epiphany". The so-called enlightenment of a person is the enlightenment of a person, and in the view of Buddhism, the enlightenment of a person is only in a thought, which is the meaning of epiphany. The folk phrase "put down the butcher's knife and become a Buddha on the spot" is a general interpretation of the idea of Buddhism. This is also an expression of the Buddhist idea that becoming a Buddha is an epiphany in a single thought. After Zen Buddhism put forward this idea, it marked the completion of the highest stage of development of Buddhism in China.

As a result, he is regarded as the true inheritor of Zen Buddhism.
