Chapter 390: Noxus Boulevard
Xiaobai was very angry, and the hair on his whole body stood up, causing his whole body to look bigger.
He hunched his back, as if he had a dragon lizard hidden in his body, full of intimidation.
The musician started to shake, he just wanted to solve the misunderstanding, and he had no other ideas.
Clang!
Karn's fist slammed into the yodeler's head, knocking him back from arrogance.
"With you, do you still have me in your eyes? Who's the boss now? β
"You are you, you are you!" The musician repeatedly, and the white raccoon put on that look that no one loved.
Cool, no chatting.
Karn and Kai'Sa looked at them and looked at each other again, all at the same time having the same thoughtβwhat a strange combination.
"Since you're a bandit, you should be familiar with this area, right?"
"Of course, I can point you wherever you want."
"We're going north, what's ahead?" Karn wasn't quite sure where he was going, if only he had an encyclopedia that would be able to route according to the strange habitats marked on it.
"After the hill there will be a fork in the road, and if you go straight you will come across a small village, and the one to the west leads to the military camp in Noxus."
Karn also wanted to ask where they hadn't seen Jax or Master Yi going, but after thinking about it, they hadn't come to follow in the footsteps of others.
He nodded to Kaisha, and the two got up to leave.
"Hey, you haven't helped us untie the rattan yet! Damn it, come back! Xiaobai's voice came from behind him, gritting his teeth.
Karn didn't look back, and walked straight up the hill, taking Kai'Sa's hand, the back of his slippery hand a little cold.
Seeing her look back, Karn smiled and said, "If they were Ionians and were genuinely good for Ionia, those rattans would automatically help them." β
"Is this the will of the Spirit of Ionia? It's amazing, a land has a will of its own. Kai'Sa bowed her head thoughtfully, and then said, "But the rattans have been broken by you, can they still be connected to this land?" β
"This ......," Karn smiled awkwardly, and then immediately changed his words, "When the rattan loses moisture, it will naturally loosen, and before then, let them suffer a little." We can't just leave it at that. β
He doesn't know everything, and even if he does, it doesn't have to be.
"What if the beast comes?"
"Ordinary beasts can't scare the yodel that comes out of the beast circus."
Kai'Sa asked, and Karn answered. Then things spiraled out of control.
"And what if it's a fallen spirit that is out of balance?"
"What's wrong with you today, why do I say a word, you can say something."
"I think you want to pretend to be a master and be seen through by me, and become angry?"
Kai'Sa squinted at him, and the atmosphere froze suddenly.
"Huh?! What are you telling the truth, why did you suddenly become so smart, I want to love you so much! β
Karn glanced back to make sure he was far away, and pinched Kai'Sa's cheek. Apparently surprised, her eyes widened slightly, and she watched Karn slam her lips so hard that she almost sucked her soul out.
"Can you be on a bad spot?" Kai'Sa slurred her voice between her lips and teeth, and her mouth was filled.
"No problem, dear."
"That's not what I meant!" She gasped as she explained.
"It doesn't matter anymore, you just have to enjoy it."
Karn decided to "shut up" her in this way.
β¦β¦
After two days of crossing the mountains, the two came to a plain. This meant that they were closer to the centre of Navoli, where most of the terrain was plain.
Now, to the west is the island of Philo, where there is the military fortress of the Noxians; To the east is Presidium, the political center of Ionia; To the north is the former headquarters of the Balance Sect, which is now the stronghold of the Shadow Stream Sect.
Karn didn't have a firm idea of where to go, as if something unpredictable was going to happen everywhere.
Kai'Sa saw Karn staring at the vast plain in a daze, and pointed him to a "clear path".
"Karn, there's a road there."
"Huh?" Looking in the direction Kai'Sa was pointing, Karn saw a paved road of brick and stone suddenly appear on the plain.
"How can there be such a thing?" This is a bit unusual for those who have been accustomed to walking mountain and dirt roads since coming to Ionia.
"Where do you think this road leads?"
Karn shook his head, "I don't know, but I'm really an Ionian wouldn't build such a wide roadway, it's something the Noxians left behind." β
"Anyway, let's take a closer look. Look for signs or anything, and I don't know where to go to find the nearest village. β
After walking for more than ten minutes, the two came to the side of the road, and the sun had passed its highest point.
"It's really Noxus Avenue, we've seen it in Nash Lamei." Kai'Sa stepped on the stone road, and in order to maintain the circulation of resources in the rear during the war and the transportation of large equipment, Noxus would build the road while fighting when it was appropriate.
This is the capital of a powerful country.
"Boom."
The sound of horses' hooves and wheels came from a distance, and the two looked up to see a carriage approaching from a distance.
"Noxians?" Kaisha's fingers moved subconsciously, a little nervous.
"It's not." Karn said, "You see that the horses that pull the cart are camel antelopes rather than mules, and the carriages are light, with live branches on top, and are not as heavy and firm as the carriages in Noxus, which look like they are used to transport criminals." β
When the carriage ran in, Kai'Sa also saw that the driver of the carriage was indeed an Ionian.
The two men did not retreat, but the carriage stopped as it approached them.
The coachman tugged at the reins and spoke to the two in Wa-Noxian: "Are you Noxians?" β
Karn wasn't sure if there was any trick in his words, but with their strength, they just had to tell the truth.
"It's not."
"Not? That's a shame. β
"Regret what?" Hearing this from an Ionian voice, Karn felt strange.
"If you bring Noxians into town, you can do it tax-free when you enter customs. You can also make more money by trading with the Noxians, but sometimes you can't worry too much about the gains and losses. β
Karn did not interrupt the coachman's muttering, and after a while he heard him say, "Are you going to the nearest town?" I can give you a ride. β
"How much?" Karn did have the idea to find a place to rest.
"No money, drop by. If you want to go, get in the car quickly, we need to get to our destination before dark. β
