Chapter 139: Ambush
The pods burst into a barrage of swirling missiles, dodging the hunters and hitting Kagemo in full.
The latter's bloated body was knocked down by the explosion, but the dark condensation armor completely blocked Kaisha's attack, and the dazed KGMO got up and shook his head, spewing acid barrage at Kaisha.
Kai'Sa ran away from the barrage, disappearing into thin air, and when she reappeared, she was already on the side of Kagemore.
She rushed out of the herd and turned to flee from Quegmo, who seemed to have taken a keen interest in her and wanted to study her taste, and persistently pursued her.
Kai'Sa wasn't fast enough to shake them off, but stayed just in front of them.
On the other side, Karn flew into the sky, dodging the siege of the herd.
The hunter spat out a pillar of light, and he dodged up and down, approaching the Prophet.
Such an obvious intention was naturally discovered by Marzaha, but as long as he continued to absorb the energy in the abyss, he would be invincible.
He watched Karn fly straight towards Calikare, his eyes sparkling as he prepared to give a cracking look.
Karn threw a fireball in response, which Malzaha dismissed, captured and consumed the moment it touched the barrier, unable to escape even a spark.
But unexpectedly, Karn released a fireball again, the speed was unusually fast, and the second shot hit the tail flame of the previous fireball, and the two collided and sent out a violent explosion, and Marzaha's eyes were immediately engulfed by the flames.
Distraction?
It doesn't matter anymore.
Marzaha looked at the remembered Calikar, his eyes shining with astonishing brightness, and the flames shot through the crossblade's body.
But when the flames subsided, Marzaha didn't see Karn near Calikar, but the sound of flapping wings kept getting louder and closer!
Before he could look to his side, Karn was already flying on him at a speed he couldn't imagine.
Swollen tentacles deep into the abyss wanted to capture Karn. But Karn's speed continued to grow, and finally even the lightning-bolted tentacles could not be retained.
He slammed into the barrier like an extraterrestrial meteorite, knocking Marzaha out of the abyss, and the two glided hundreds of yards over the ruins.
While Marzaha was still spinning and rolling, Karn was on his feet again.
He pounced on Malzahar, through the barrier of permeability. Bone spurs wrapped around purple arcs of electricity as his fist slammed into the energy barrier.
By the time Marzaha came to his senses, the barrier was already full of cracks like glass.
"You and I have power from the Void, do you think you can kill me?"
Marzar hissed, but Karn did not respond to his taunt, and slammed his fist into the barrier until the bone spur could not withstand the impact of such intensity and snapped.
At this point, he noticed the abyss in Karn's eyes, and he was relieved to find it.
"You are different from others, join me and you will gain a source of endless power."
Marzaha showed what he said he was talking about, and with a wave of his hand, the energy barrier was closed as before, making Karn's efforts all in vain.
"Do you think you've won yourself?" Karn abruptly stopped his attack.
"Huh?" Marzaha's eyes narrowed.
Without an explanation, Karn looked up.
Then Marzaha saw what was hidden behind him, an ethereal blade of light hanging above his head, devouring the sunlight above, and although he didn't recognize the weapon, he could feel the excitement coming from the blade.
The blade of light fell suddenly, breaking the energy barrier and severing the connection point between his head and body.
Failing to hit the power core, Marzaha's eyes widened and glowed with blazing light.
Karn grabbed the back of his head first, sending the cracking rays from his eyes into the air.
"If I think you're dead just now, it's still useful to keep you alone."
Karn glanced back at Cassadine, who had circled the back of the temple from the beginning of the battle, ready to attack.
But the rock waves of Taliyah knocked down the temple, and by the time she found out that Cassadine was also in the area of the rock waves, it was too late.
She made a makeshift change, arching the rock, creating a bowl-shaped dome that protected Cassadine, but also sealed him in the rock.
Only Karn could sense him slashing inside, slashing at the ground before he could suffocate.
Realizing that this would make for an excellent ambush, he pushed Marzaha to Cassadine's position with all his might, waiting for him to break through the ground and swing his decisive sword. TVmobile/
The Prophet's headless body struggled to get up, but was then cut into several pieces by Cassadine's rage, and he died completely.
Karn's head was grasped in Karn's hand, dissolving little by little, until Karn's claws sank into his head, grasping the core of energy.
The skin armor began to devour, and strange and unknowable knowledge was transferred to the brain behind Karn's left eye, a small part of the brain that had mutated from the moment of symbiosis and was cut off to form another area where he could think independently.
He gradually understood what kind of knowledge the Void had instilled in Marzaha, and also knew what the world was like when it was completely swallowed by the Void, and he couldn't help but clench his claws, and Malzaha in his hand felt a sense of nothingness that he had never felt before.
He repeated his name over and over again, as if that would stop the slow dissolution.
But in the end, even the existence of the void was erased from his mind.
Marzaha's eyes darkened.
"If this is the annihilation of your embrace, may you rest in peace."
The Skinarmor stopped devouring, retaining Marzaha's core, but his will was almost erased.
In the distance, Kagemo seemed to sense Marzaha's demise, gave up his pursuit of Kaisha, and staggered towards Karn. Kai'Sa didn't stop, she saw that Karn had succeeded.
"Uncle, it's time to get people out of here, it's time to clean up the mess." Karn returned to the edge of the abyss, grabbed Calikar and threw it to Sivir.
Cassadine nodded and left, and Kai'Sa and Sivir evacuated as well.
Karn then flew into the air with Marzaha's head in his hand, giving orders with the master switch in his hand.
In an instant, all the hunters abandoned their respective targets and returned to his feet to gather into a black, oppressive tide of beasts. Relieved from the hard battle, Nasus returned to his normal size and watched Karn from afar.
The beast tide gathered beside the abyss, and Kagemo was among them, and he made his way through the crowded beast tide to the middle, looking up and meeting Marzaha's head.
It's just that Karn didn't have the slightest mercy for this foodie, who had no concept of good and evil, and only knew how to eat, and gave the order to sacrifice.
Let Kgmo sacrifice his own command.
Kgomo's body produced a chain reaction, and its stomach began to secrete an endless stream of acid until it filled the entire unknowable space. It swayed, vomiting acid like an infusion. But even so, its body continued to swell uncontrollably, as if it was about to burst at any moment.
Kagemo's dark eyes shone with doubt, it was just a simple newborn who only knew how to eat.
Karn didn't stop, for he knew what kind of disaster Legmo would bring to the Lands of Runeterra.
