Chapter III: Capture Operations
After all, the training subjects are basically the same as those of the special agent company, and the difference is that the special agent company's subjects related to helicopters and air-ground coordination have been deleted, and some necessary camouflage subjects can be added.
To put it simply, the agent company basically does not need to be disguised, of course, the agent company can also do it when necessary, and they emphasize more on fighting quickly and withdrawing quickly...... Quickly deliver by helicopter or other vehicle to complete the mission and evacuate the battlefield before the enemy can react and organize an effective defense.
Obviously, such a unit does not need to spend too much effort to camouflage, and it often takes only a dozen or dozens of minutes from entering the battlefield to withdrawing from the battlefield, and as soon as they are engaged, it is a fierce battle, and camouflage will not only bring much benefit, but will make itself fall into a state of confusion that is difficult to argue with friend and foe.
But the reconnaissance brigade was different, they had to resort to ground infiltration due to the constraints of the conditions.
To tell the truth, this is more difficult and dangerous than such a special operation of the special service company, due to the fact that every success must be built on the mistakes of the enemy. For example, there are loopholes in the Vietnamese army's defense line, for example, the Vietnamese army has not been able to see the members of the camouflaged reconnaissance brigade, and the Vietnamese army's defense is not tight enough.
Even the reconnaissance brigade must have certain information before infiltration, for example, it must know the number of the Vietnamese army on the opposite side, and also know the number of the nearby Vietnamese army, and then it can carry out reasonable camouflage according to these numbers, otherwise, it will ...... As soon as we went up, we told the Yue devil that he was the 316A Division (at this time, the 316A Division of the Vietnamese Army had been transferred back to China for rest due to heavy casualties in the Battle of Lao Son on July 12), and it was not two and a half times before the horse's feet were exposed.
Needless to say, this danger does not only refer to the danger they are in the execution of their mission. The greater danger is still after the mission...... Completing the mission basically means revealing their identity and location. How to get out of the enemy's line of defense after revealing your identity and location. This is another big issue. And none of these are actually what Agent Company is good at.
But fortunately, there is still Chen Qiaoqiao in our team, and she is familiar with how the Vietnamese army agents operate as the former commander of the Vietnamese army's agent company, so we can really be regarded as a master of the art to control the enemy.
At the beginning, the training work was relatively simple, and the reconnaissance brigade had to do almost the same as an artillery observer, that is, lurking at the front of the position every day to observe and coordinate with the artillery in the rear to fire at suspicious targets.
This point is not too difficult for the reconnaissance brigade except for the fact that it was caught by friendly forces at the beginning, after all, the reconnaissance team is all experienced veterans, and after training in Beijing, they have also learned to observe coordinates.
If there is any difficulty in this, it is the inconvenience of the cans and water bottles used by our army in the process of lurking.
This point was raised by Xu Liangbin. The main thing is that the cans are made of iron, and the kettle is also a big iron guy. These things will make a "sonorous" sound when they are lurking, especially when they are crawling, especially the kettle, if it is only half filled with water or not full, it will make a water sound when shaken gently.
In fact, we have identified these problems before, but because the agents have been using helicopters more and more, these problems have become less important.
But these problems were obviously fatal for the reconnaissance brigade, such as when secretly infiltrating the Vietnamese lines, or when secretly approaching enemy posts......
"This problem is easy to solve!" Zhao Jingping replied without thinking about it: "Just let them wrap these things in a cloth!" β
This is a common method used by our troops, such as what our army secretly lurked in the front line of the position during the old reconquest war.
But this is not ideal......
I shook my head and said, "In practice, this method has exposed many shortcomings. For example, once it rains, the muddy water will increase the weight of these cloths exponentially. You must know that the weight of the fighters is close to the limit, and adding unnecessary weight will undoubtedly increase the physical consumption of the soldiers, which is not cost-effective. On the other hand, some noises can also be found when opening cans, and these sounds are also likely to attract the attention of nearby enemies, increasing unnecessary risks. β
"There are downsides." Zhao Jingping said: "But there is no other better way, right?" β
"Of course there is a way!" After thinking about it, I said, "You can give the soldiers more flexible packaging of food and water bags." β
"Flexible packaging?"
"Yes!" I nodded and replied, "To put it simply, it is wrapped in plastic like a compressed biscuit, which not only does it not make a sound, but it also reduces weight and space, and it is very convenient to eat, as long as you tear the opening open." β
"Oh!" Everyone couldn't help but nod their heads when they heard this.
In fact, I was inspired by the flexible packaging commonly used in modern times, such as the pickled vegetables in flexible packaging everywhere in modern supermarkets.
"Of course." I continued: "This kind of packaging can't be made in a while, and it has to be customized by the logistics department. For now, let the fighters of the reconnaissance brigade make it together with food in plastic bags. β
"Yes!"
This problem was thus solved, and later the special supply for Scouts was born.
Of course, this supplement is also used in our synthesis camp, mainly because it can reduce weight on a certain amount of dΓΉ, and it is very convenient to eat.
The second stage of training is prisoner training.
In fact, this is no longer considered training, but should be called actual combat, because we are really infiltrating the Vietnamese defense line on the front line, wiping prisoners, and then withdrawing.
This task is still quite challenging for the reconnaissance team, one is because it is quite dangerous, and the other is that if it is not done well, it will end up in total annihilation. The other is because the reconnaissance team has basically never done such a thing before......
It is true that the soldiers of the reconnaissance brigade are veterans, but most of them are ordinary soldiers, that is, the battles they fought before were all conventional wars. Although conventional warfare is also dangerous, the psychological pressure is much less than infiltration and capture...... Infiltrating and capturing prisoners is to enter the enemy's territory to carry out a mission, and it also requires the capture of a live enemy, although the casualties that can be inflicted on the enemy are only one or two, but the difficulty is much greater than that of conventional warfare.
I just gave an order to this matter, and then I left it to Chen Qiaoqiao to do it. This is not only because I believe in Chen Qiaoqiao's ability, but also because I hope that the reconnaissance brigade can be independent from the synthetic battalion as much as possible...... This is like teaching a child that if you want him to grow up and mature as much as possible, then don't help him do too much in normal times, and let him do it himself.
Later, I learned that Chen Qiaoqiao only gave Xu Liangbin an order, and then handed it over to Xu Liangbin to complete, and the reason was of course the same as mine.
It's just that Chen Qiaoqiao is even more ruthless than I imagined: she observed the whole process when Xu Liangbin made the plan, and she didn't speak even when she found a loophole in the plan......
This struck me as a bit excessive, and when I learned about it, I asked her, "It's right to teach them a profound lesson, but what if there are casualties as a result?" β
"Do you know what the rules of survival of animals are?" Chen Qiaoqiao replied: "That's what you often call survival of the fittest, in case there are casualties or the entire army is wiped out because of it, it is also because of their own problems, or they are not suitable for survival on this battlefield." β
I admit that I was a little creepy when I heard Chen Qiaoqiao's words.
But thinking about it, I don't think it's surprising, she is the commander of the Vietnamese army's agent company, and the Vietnamese army's agents may have been trained with such cruel thinking, and only in this way can they train troops that are more suitable for battlefield survival.
Fortunately, this qiΔ did not happen, thanks to Xu Liangbin's adaptability......
The whole plan for capturing prisoners seemed perfect, and the reconnaissance brigade had determined that between the enemy's 182 heights and 355 heights, there would be a Vietnamese officer going back and forth in the middle of the night every three nights.
At that time, we didn't know why this Vietnamese officer would go back and forth so regularly, at first we thought that he reported to his superiors regularly, but later we learned that his wife happened to be assigned to garrison the 355 heights...... There were quite a few women in Vietnam at this time, so it was not surprising that this would happen.
So Xu Liangbin formulated a plan to capture the prisoners: first infiltrate the Vietnamese defense line at night, and then wait for the Vietnamese officers to pass by in the fields on the side of the road, and then withdraw as quickly as possible after arresting people.
All of them looked fine, the sniper's coordination and cover units were well calculated, and even the muddy fields were estimated based on the recent weather and nearby fields...... From this point, it can also be seen that Xu Liangbin attaches great importance to this task, but it may also be because he is the first time to carry out such a mission, hoping to win the first battle.
The only thing he miscalculated was...... The lack of cooperation of the captives when they are captured and the weight they add can create a series of problems.
This seems to be a small problem, just knock him out if he doesn't cooperate, as for adding some weight...... That's a matter of body, which is completely out of the question for the reconnaissance brigade, not to mention the fact that you can also consider freeing up the weight of your equipment for the warriors who are carrying prisoners.
But this is not just a matter of body, the added weight is just too much for the soft field to bear, i.e. it prolongs the time for the reconnaissance team to withdraw with the captives, which is almost fatal for a captive operation. (To be continued......)
