Chapter 50: Polar Bears

The sun rises and casts warmth on the earth, the sun shines on the snow, reflecting a dazzling light, the snow on the roof, the ice fall under the eaves begins to melt, forming a curtain of water, and the dirty air becomes fresher as the snow melts.

By this time, López had already packed his bags and set out on the journey, and although the proprietress had warned him that the snowstorm would be more prone to avalanches, he decided to set off.

For him, there are only two possibilities for avalanches to happen or not to happen at any time, just as gold coins can only have heads and tails at any time.

He prefers a challenge to a bit of a challenge rather than a stagnant, so it doesn't matter when he leaves.

After the blizzard, the temperature plummeted, and even though he was wearing the cloak given by Uncle Wright, López still felt the slightest chill.

Now, he is constantly moving forward against the two maps, although the speed is not very fast, but it should be no problem to reach the cabin before dark.

He walked silently, and there was no one around him.

After a long time, if the markings on the map were correct, he should have been within range of the Amelia Snow by now.

In fact, if he didn't look at the map, he already knew, because the sky was starting to fall with icy snow.

It was snow-capped all around.

However, this caused a lot of trouble for López, as the falling snowflakes prevented him from keeping his finger on the map, which could get wet.

After taking a deep look at the map and trying his best to keep it in his mind, López quickly put it away.

With no map to attract López's attention, he began to look up at the scene around him, and if he hadn't mentioned the abhorrent cold, he might have generously admitted that it was beautiful.

But because of the cold, he couldn't lift any excitement except for sighing.

If Aya was here at this time, she would be very happy, and he would be able to appreciate the gentleness and thoughtfulness of the sunset, which was much softer than this cold ice and snow.

However, there will probably be some mismatch, and for the playful Aya, it may be more suitable for spring.

If that's the case, guess what she's going to do now?

Surprise her favorite López with a snowball, and then put a sweet smile at him to declare his victory.

But there is no Aya in the Amelia Snow, only endless snowflakes, loneliness, and polar bears.

Polar bears?

A thick, sharp bear claw slammed at López, and the huge force directly lifted him away.

Lopez decisively drew his long sword and plunged it into the ground, trying to stop the momentum of retreat.

However, the ground was thick with snow, and the long sword could not reach the hard ground at all, and only the soft snow blocked the long sword, which could not stop López at all, and after a few rolls, he was able to stop.

However, he was not injured, the bear's attack was blocked by the armor, and the soft snow on the ground gave López a large buffer.

The polar bear apparently expected this and rushed towards López the moment he flew upside down.

After one glance at the polar bear, López could conclude that there was trouble this time, because the black eyes of the polar bear revealed ferocity and hunger.

López was sure that the polar bear would definitely not give up his food, which was basically delivered to his mouth.

Although he didn't want to fight, because it would greatly lose his physical strength, and it would be quite troublesome to get injured in such a cold environment.

But since he can't run, then he can only attack, but if there is a chance to evacuate, he is not ambiguous.

As soon as he stabilized his body, the polar bear in front of him quickly jumped up and tried to pounce on him.

Fortunately, López reacted quickly, rolled to the right, and directly dodged the Polar Bear's pounce.

Then he raised his sword and stabbed it at the Polar Bear's head, but the Polar Bear would have let him do so easily, and as soon as it tilted its body, it knocked López straight away, and the longsword only scratched a little of its fur.

With López's current strength, it would be difficult to kill an adult polar bear, so he decisively decided to run away without hesitation.

He could only hope that the damn bear wasn't that patient, but if things were going to go bad, no matter how unlikely it was, it would always happen, and the polar bear followed him as if he had spotted López.

Seriously, if López wasn't a polar bear, he would have thought he was alone with his wife just now, or if he happened to bump into him when he rolled down from his window and waved at his wife.

He was now feeling helpless, he didn't think he could match a bear in speed or endurance, so he had to fight hard, hoping to survive and make it to the cabin.

Thinking so, López quickly stopped and turned to slash, and he could feel that the polar bear had caught up.

The polar bear also tried to stop with his movements, but because of inertia and the unusually soft snow under his feet, he planted directly forward.

It's a great opportunity, and López wouldn't be stupid enough to let it go by in vain.

In the next moment, López slashed at the polar bear with his sword, and although it only hit him in the back, it was enough to bear it.

The pain made the polar bear roar in anger, and his eyes stared at López burst into fiery rage, and with a thunderous roar, he rushed towards López again.

Because of his anger, this time the polar bear was extremely powerful, and although he was prepared, López was still knocked out of the air, fortunately with a sword to block, but his tiger's mouth was shocked a little numb.

The outermost cloak had been soaked with snow, but it hadn't penetrated completely.

Beads of sweat were already forming on López's forehead, of course, it had nothing to do with the weather, just the strenuous exercise.

The snow in the sky was still pouring down, and the polar bear was closing in on him step by step.

López's body tensed, his eyes staring directly at the polar bear, he didn't dare to be distracted, the slightest difference could be doomed.

After a brief silence, the polar bear rushed first with a deafening roar.

The huge body lunged at him again, its sharp teeth ready to bite his neck.

López had already decided what to do, and he clenched his sword and stabbed it into the polar bear's mouth.

But as soon as the polar bear tilted his head, he easily dodged López's sword.

Of course, López would definitely not give up just like that, as soon as he turned his hand, he directly changed the direction of the sword, and the sharp blade directly sank into the shoulders of the polar bear.

But the polar bear seems to have done it on purpose, the fat flesh on its shoulders and the heavy fur make it difficult for López's long sword to draw, and its sharp teeth bite López's neck without hesitation.

In the midst of the lightning, López pulled out a hand and decisively sent it into the polar bear's mouth, which saved his life.

Although he was wearing armor on his arm, the Polar Bear's huge bite force still hurt him heavily.

However, it also had some effect, so that López's arm would not be bitten off directly.

Before the polar bear's mouth could be pulled out of the crack in the armor, López's other hand pulled the long sword out of the polar bear's shoulder, and then quickly raised the sword and stabbed it at the polar bear's head.

Once, twice, three times, he couldn't count how many times he had stabbed, but he kept repeating the movements in his hands.

The polar bear had long since lost his life, lying motionless on top of him.

He was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief, but as soon as he relaxed, the feeling of exhaustion and pain swept over him instantly, diligently reminding him that he had to be treated.

After lying on the snow and resting for a while, López struggled to crawl out of the carcass of the polar bear, which might be of some use later.

But he had to wrap himself up now, thankfully with a bandage.

At the same time, the green gem on the long sword at his waist was radiating lifelike.
