If there is ancient literature, there will naturally be modern and contemporary literature, but the study time is much less than that of ancient literature, and nine times out of ten, this course is based on writing essays to check the grades. According to the previous seniors, Sister Dan, who teaches modern and contemporary literature, is the best teacher in the whole major, and on the first day of class, she confirmed to us the assessment method of writing a thesis at the end of the semester. I myself am not particularly interested in modern and contemporary literature, at most I have to memorize some basic literary knowledge because of the requirements of exams in high school, and the Chinese teacher talks about it with relish in class, but it is difficult for me to understand the "beauty" in those prose, so the reading comprehension score rate of modern literature is always very low. At the beginning, I just finished him as an assignment, and after reading the original article on the Internet, I began to write about my impressions. I first wrote more than a thousand words according to my own opinions, and then I planned to go online to find some other people's opinions to learn from and expand my thinking. However, after reading other people's articles, I found that my view of the person "Liu Shiwu" in the article is completely contrary to the mainstream view, and I think that his so-called new-style bureaucracy is forced and a kind of helplessness, but I think that "Han Changxin" is a real bureaucrat. I was instantly confused, wondering if I hadn't read the article at all. When I think back to my reading comprehension of modern texts in high school, I feel less and less confident. I don't know if I should continue to write the same way I thought or start all over again. If I continue, then I always feel that there are a lot of loopholes, and if I do it all over again, I am afraid that I will be lost in other people's opinions. In desperation, I had no choice but to tell Sister Dan my contradictory thoughts. And the way I communicate with Sister Dan is: email.

Fortunately, Sister Dan's reply was very timely, and she asked me to write according to my own ideas, and I didn't have to worry about my grades. With Sister Dan's instructions, my thinking is not shackled, and my mind is simply open. I read the article again and found that the homonym of "Wei Heming" is "He Ming", which I felt very interesting, so I sorted out the names of the characters in the novel, and combined with the article, I found that the author was intentional about these names:

"Zhao Huiwen", a beautiful female image of intelligence and quietness;

"Lin Zhen", which caused an earthquake of bureaucracy;

"Liu Shiwu", "I am more lonely in the world" (I am even more disgusted with the taste of the world);

"Han Changxin", the old ideas under the coat of "Changxin";

"Wei Heming", why is it singing;

"Wang Qingquan", the director of the whole factory.

Following this line of thought, I completely deleted the more than 1,000 words I had written before, and rewrote a new review of the names of the characters in the novel. I was still a little apprehensive when I handed in my homework, after all, this kind of view is my own brain, without any basis, if Sister Dan is unhappy, it is reasonable to sentence me to zero points. However, the final result was still satisfactory, and Sister Dan also praised "some students" in class for their novel and thoughtful views. This also made me feel more confident, and I was also full of good feelings about the course of modern and contemporary literature, and I took it much more seriously every time I took the class.

Later, Sister Dan asked us to read Lu Xun's works. As Mr. Lu Xun's fellow countryman, I naturally take this assignment very seriously. The entire 08-level Liberal Arts College is just me from Lu Xun's hometown, how can I embarrass the people of my hometown? Although everyone knows "Runtu", "Kong Yiji", and "Xianglin Sister-in-law", they have also fantasized about "catching Ru", engraved the word "early", and drooled over "fennel beans", and they also have a certain understanding of Lu Xun's life deeds and works. Sister Dan asked us to pick a novel from "The Scream". I think that everyone who is familiar with it basically can't write anything new, and it is easy to conflict with other students' feelings after reading, so I chose "Storm" with more dialect words. To be honest, I also read this novel for the first time, and the first time I read it, I felt very kind, and I would always unconsciously read out the dialect words in my hometown, and then smile. Especially the sentence "the cheap fetus who entered the mother" made me laugh out of the pig's cry. Because of this sudden giggling behavior, Lao Zhao and the others once thought I was reading an online novel.

For the writing ideas after reading, before reading the article, I also wanted to start with the names of the people according to the previous "New Young People in the Organization Department", but later I found that these "six catties", "seven catties", and "eighty-one" have no research value at all. Then I wanted to write about the dialect in it, but I felt that there were some things that only I could understand. So I had to read the original text over and over again. Finally, when the deadline was approaching, I had to find some related articles from Zhiwang, summarized the mainstream views, and reluctantly made up a 3,000-word article with my own ideas. Unexpectedly, with my unique thinking, I still got Sister Dan's affirmation.

Watching movies is one of our favorite ways to take classes, we don't have to do anything, we can watch it if we want, and if we don't want to watch it, we can do our own thing, just don't affect others, and before we know it, a class will pass. Sometimes a movie is too long, and the teacher will continue to play it in the next class, and smart students are naturally "prepared" and will slip away after the teacher finishes the recess.

The films that Sister Dan showed us are all adapted from literary works, or film and television works that can reflect the development of modern and contemporary literature, such as "Farewell My Concubine", "The Sun Also Rises" and the like. For me, this kind of film is just a movie plot after watching it once, and I can't see what the film wants to express at all, so it's not as exciting as going back to the bedroom to watch "The Walking Dead", "Resident Evil" or something. But since it's in class, what the teacher tells me to do, then I'll do it seriously.

Approaching the Qingming Festival, Sister Dan showed us another "Alive", because there was Uncle Ge at the beginning, we thought it was a comedy. But as the plot continues to advance, my heart becomes heavier and heavier, and I have a thought in my heart: Why is the rich family so unlucky? Later, when the movie ended, Sister Dan asked us to write about our impressions, but she suggested that we read the original book, after all, the movie had some changes. Like the rest of my classmates, I didn't take it very seriously, anyway, I watched all the movies, and it was too much trouble to flip through the books again.

Later, because of the Qingming Festival holiday, Lao Zhao and I didn't plan to learn to drive, and we were a little bored in the dormitory, so we went to the street alone, which can be regarded as "stepping out". It just so happened that there was a bookstore on the side of the road, so I went in and took a look at it on a whim. Looking at it, I remembered what Sister Dan said in class, I refused the "enthusiastic" help of the staff, and with my own efforts, I finally found the book "Alive". I picked up the book and weighed it, and found that it was not as thick as the "Ghost Blowing the Lantern" I used to read, thinking that I would definitely be able to read it during the Qingming holiday, so I bought the book and went back to the dormitory to read it.

Once I read the novel, I couldn't stop because the book was originally a small word count, and I soon finished reading it for the first time. Because of the foreshadowing of the previous movie, the mood is not sad, but it is still a little depressing. Then I started to read it a second time, this time with the purpose of writing about the aftermath, so I read it more carefully, which also made me discover an important factor that this novel depresses me: the perfect family treasure.

Jiazhen was born into a wealthy family, grew up beautiful in her youth, and also studied well, and in addition to this, the author gave her all the good qualities of a traditional Chinese woman: intelligence, hard work, ability, and perseverance. I haven't seen Jiazhen say anything like "I love you" to Fugui in the whole book, but she proved with her actions what it means to "never leave and never give up". Fugui lost all his property, and Jiazhen just said, "As long as you don't gamble in the future, it's fine." If Jiazhen hadn't returned to Fugui according to her father's wishes, then at least she would have been able to live a good life without having to be busy every day until she fell ill. But Jiazhen didn't do this, and soon after giving birth to Youqing, Jiazhen returned to Fugui's side and shared weal and woe with him.

Jiazhen also became my fantasy object for my future wife for a while.

Sister Dan's teaching method has greatly changed my view of modern and contemporary literature, especially when I read the articles I have studied after encountering some things later, it will suddenly resonate. Maybe this is the so-called "I don't know the meaning of the song when I hear it at first, but I am already a person in the song when I listen to it again".
