Chapter 580: Ron: If I were on a whim, Professor Moody would get down on his knees and beg for mercy!
Because they were scared enough by Moody's actions, in the next class, everyone did not dare to slack off and honestly took notes.
It wasn't until the end of class that Hermione couldn't help but ask.
"Professor Moody, why did you teach us about the Unforgivable Curse?
I've read in books that this is supposed to be taboo, and the Ministry of Magic won't allow it to be taught in class, and we're only in the fourth year this year..."
Moody paused, he glanced back at Hermione, then at the equally curious young wizards, and explained.
"That's a good question! Normally, Hogwarts won't teach you this until you graduate, but things have changed recently, and Headmaster Dumbledore thinks you need to learn more about the Dark Arts so you can protect yourself in the future! β
"Obviously, I'm better suited for this than anyone else! That's why Dumbledore asked me to be the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor! β
Moody spoke, staring at the wooden legs as he paced through the classroom, before adding. "Of course, I'm just here to do a favor and teach you for a year, and then if the situation is stable, I'll live my peaceful retirement life again."
"Professor, do you think we might be in danger in the future? Like being hunted down by a dark wizard who can kill with a killing curse? Seamus sneered.
"Yes! It's quite possible, Mr. Finigan! I didn't mean to joke with you! Moody looked at him very seriously, "You shouldn't wait for the danger to come before you regret that you didn't learn enough!" β
Seamus was stunned by Moody's words, and after not replying for a long time, Moody ignored him, looked at the others in the classroom, and said in warning.
"When I was an Auror, I met a lot of naΓ―ve people like you, including some of the intern strikers who followed me.
At that time, the Iron Armor Charm was a must-learn magic for strikers, but there were always people who didn't pay enough attention to it, and when it came time to actually face the battle, they realized that the protective magic they had mastered was far from enough! β
"They may think that their opponents will show mercy, like a wizard duel at a house." Moody's voice became hoarse, and he continued mockingly.
"It's a pity that they were mistaken, and those dark wizards didn't have the slightest mercy when they took their lives!"
Hearing this, several little wizards couldn't help but laugh.
However, the next moment was interrupted by Moody's roar.
"It's not funny! I'm not telling you any more stories! I guess you wouldn't have thought about what happened to these people. One of the strikers was struck in the heart by the Dark Wizard's Smashing Charm during a battle, and he died instantly! We didn't even have time to get him to the hospital... Do you understand? β
Under Moody's gaze, the students hurriedly nodded.
"Now that you understand it, don't write it down for me!" Moody yelled.
Then, all that was left in the classroom was the "rustling" of the quills as they swiped across the pages, and no one dared to ask any questions for the remaining minutes.
This continued until the bell rang for the end of class, and when Moody left the classroom, the young wizards were relieved, and there was a heated discussion.
"Oh my God, did you just see Professor Moody casting a spell? That's horrible! Seamus thought back to the scene where Moody cast the killing curse, and he couldn't help but feel a chill in his heart.
"Where's the horror? Kill a spider? A student next to him replied.
"That's a killing curse, if Professor Moody had used it on you, you wouldn't have said that," Seamus said excitedly.
With the exception of a few young wizards who were holding on to themselves in order to show their bravery, the rest of the students were talking about the spells in awe.
Malfoy was the only one who was excited about this, and as he passed by Ron's desk, he deliberately shouted at Goyle and Clare behind him.
"Actually, those unforgivable spells are not a big deal, my father taught me a long time ago, and I can assure you that I learned them before I even came to school, but I just couldn't find the opportunity to use them!"
"But for some people, the Killing Curse must be quite a great magic, like Weasley... Oh my God, he was stunned in class! β
With that, Malfoy coughed lightly twice, and shouted at the top of his voice, following Ron's frightened appearance in class just now. "No, I don't dare... Professor! β
Goyle and Clare followed behind and laughed silly.
Malfoy shouted triumphantly. "It's the first time I've seen him like this, and if I hadn't seen it clearly, I'd have thought Professor Moody was going to cast a spell on Weasley!"
Malfoy's undisguised voice was naturally heard by Ron.
"Malfoy! Do you dare to duel with me? I can show you if I'm going to use those unforgivable spells! Ron was so angry that he screamed through gritted teeth, his face turned as red as his hair, and he drew his wand and wanted to rush up to a duel with Malfoy.
Fortunately, Hermione and Harry pulled Ron desperately, so they didn't have to compete to see who had the most nosebleeds...
Malfoy didn't bother to take advantage of Ron, and quickly slipped away with his two henchmen at an indescribable speed - although he was not afraid of Ron, he knew very well that they had no chance of winning three against four.
Ron, who was being pulled by Hermione and Harry, scolded Malfoy angrily for not daring to face him and for fearing a duel with him.
After scolding for several minutes, Ron's mood stabilized a little, and then he explained to Ivan and the others.
"Don't listen to Malfoy, didn't I dare cast a spell at that time? I'm afraid that if I do it, Professor Moody will die! β
Ron simply boasted of his timidity as a last resort.
And said that if he accidentally killed Moody, then Professor Dumbledore would expel him!
Ivan rolled his eyes.
Right, right... On a whim, Moody has to kneel and beg for mercy...
Harry reluctantly chimed in a few words so that Ron could get by on face and not be too embarrassed.
"Ron, don't say it, it's not a shame to be afraid of the Unforgivable Curse, it's very dangerous dark magic." Hermione didn't give Ron any face, and said very dissatisfied.
"Enough! I've said I'm not afraid of this......" Ron looked impatient, and he tried to continue arguing with Hermione, but before he could finish, he was interrupted by Hermione.
"Professor Moody hasn't gone far yet, he probably heard what you just said!" The little witch pouted towards the end of the hallway.
Ron's mouth closed immediately......
