Chapter 56: The Man Who Was Instructed
The next day, Ivan found an advanced spell book called "Levitation" in the book hall, a thin one.
Originally, he hadn't finished learning the basics, so he shouldn't have gone to the advanced level, because jumping to see it was the most difficult to understand.
But he was curious, because levitation was something that he could do with his own psionic energy, so would this cause his understanding of levitation to speed up?
He flipped and spent the morning looking at it, then thought for a moment, then floated in the air and circled with his index finger, staring at a pen on the table.
The pen floated, but not because of levitation, but because of psionic energy.
"Sure enough, they're obviously two different concepts, and my proficiency in psionic energy is far stronger than it's, it's useless, and I can't even verify whether I've learned it or not..."
Ivan scratched his head and muttered, inserting the "Levitation" back into the bookshelf, and the pen fell back into place.
"Reading again?"
A cheerful voice came from behind Ivan, who turned his head to see Vandal.
"yes, what's wrong Mr. Vandal?"
Vandal looked left and right and asked, "She's not here, She's not?" β
"Not there."
Ivan responded, Jessica seems to have been with Sif all the time, and they didn't come to the Book Hall.
"Okay, I got it."
Vandal really didn't have anything else to do, and turned to leave.
In the afternoon, Jessica returned to the book hall, and she said that she had learned to ride horses and Pegasus with Siv at the horse farm that morning.
"Pegasus? What is that? β
Is Asgard's horse named Pegasus? Or is there something really different? Ivan was a little curious about this.
"A flying horse with wings on both sides." Jessica said with a smile.
"That's good, I didn't expect Asgard to have this."
"yes, it's fun."
"By the way, Jessica, how long is it until we start school?"
"More than a month."
Ivan nodded, spells are not something that can be read overnight.
β¦β¦
After living in Asgard for half a month, Ivan asked Odin to lend some of the books in the book hall back to Earth, which he and Jessica selected.
Odin agreed to print some copies for Ivan, and in fact, most of the books in the hall were not originals, which is why they were so new.
When they returned to the mortal world, Sif came to see them off, and Vandal also came.
"Friend, I'll give you something as a souvenir before I leave!"
Vandal smiled and handed Ivan a sword with its sheath.
"Thank you." Ivan smiled and took the sword.
"This sword represents Asgard's friendship and respect for you." Vandal laughed, "Please take care of it!" β
"Vandal, isn't that the blunt sword you didn't use a year ago?" Sif remembered the sword.
"Sif if you have seen through it, why do you want to say it?" Vandal asked, turning his head.
"You treat this thing as a gift, I don't say it's weird." Sif said with a cold face.
"I'm sorry, I don't really have any gifts!"
"It's okay, it's a piece of your heart too."
Ivan didn't care, and accepted it with a smile, after all, it was a farewell gift.
......
After returning to Earth, Jessica returned to Clinton to open the office, while Ivan returned to the orchard to live as usual, and unlike before, he often lay on the couch and read in his free time.
Karen and Angel were initially intrigued by the books that Ivan had brought back, and became even more interested when they learned from Ivan that they were spell books.
"Ivan, these books, you can learn magic after reading them?" Angel asked.
"You can give it a try." Ivan smiled.
"Are there any side effects?" Cullen picked up one and asked cautiously.
"It's a negative effect, but you have to be able to read it~" Ivan raised his eyebrows.
Hearing this, Cullen hurriedly put the book in his hand back on the table and asked, "What is the negative effect?" β
"If you read too deeply, you will lose your hair unconsciously."
"God, I thought it was."
Karen didn't care, picked up the book and looked at it, he turned page by page, like a decent look.
Angel was stunned, and he asked Karen, "Do you understand?" β
"Uh... Understand a little bit, just a little bit. Cullen said as he stared at the page.
"Really?" Angel scratched her head, "I don't understand it at all. β
"You don't understand, do you? Well, I'll admit it, I don't understand it at all! Cullen laughed.
Ivan took a deep breath and thought to himself that he should bring back the basic books he had already read, so that he could at least test whether Karen and Angel had the talent for it...
Now they look directly at the middle, and it's strange if they can understand.
But for the basic books, Jessica may have chosen some.
That night, Ivan told the two about what kind of place Asgard was.
......
In the afternoon of the next day, Ivan came to Jessica's office, thinking about seeing what books Jessica had taken here, and whether she had brought the most basic copy of "Basic Spell Application and Understanding".
As a result, when I pushed the door, I saw that the first floor of the office was in a mess.
The stools were shattered, the cabinets were cracked, the tables were crooked, the books and pens on them had fallen to the floor, dirty shoe prints had been stepped on, and even the windows on the west side were broken.
Jessica is not on the first floor.
"Jessica!"
Ivan's whole body turned into a blue light and rushed to the second floor, and the floor and stairs shattered in his sprint!
On the second floor, there was a man with a blue nose and swollen face lying on the ground, Jessica squatted beside him and pressed the man's head with her hand, and at this moment she looked at Ivan who rushed up in a daze.
"What happened?" Ivan was relieved to see that Jessica was fine.
"Whew... I was resting on the second floor, and this thug thought I wasn't at home and smashed the window to come in and steal something. With that, she let go of the hand that was pressing the thug's head, stood up and took two steps back.
"Whew... Phewβ" The thug gasped, rolled over, and lay on his back on the ground.
"yes, I'm a thief."
