Chapter 293: Prophecy and Foreshadowing
Ivan followed the silver ladder all the way to the divination classroom.
The space inside is very closed, with at least twenty small round tables, and the big red curtains are drawn tightly, blocking the sunlight outside, except for a little light scattered through the curtains, illuminating the whole classroom red.
On the circular wall at the back are shelves with dirty quills, candle heads, tattered playing cards, and a large pile of teacups.
It looks like the venue of some kind of mysterious ritual...
A group of young wizards found their own places to sit down, and Ivan and the others naturally sat together.
"What about the professor? Haven't come yet? Ron said in some surprise.
"No, Trelawney has arrived—" Ivan shook his head, motioning for Ron to look behind the curtain on the right.
An emaciated witch with thick, round-rimmed glasses was standing there, looking at them through a strip of transparent gauze.
Ron was startled, and Sybil Trelawney's flickering, muffled voice rang out in the classroom.
"Welcome!"
"It's great to see you in the physical world at last...", Trelawney stepped out from behind the curtains.
She was not very tall, dressed in a dark green silk robe, with countless chains around her slender neck, and her pale blonde hair was unkempt and unkempt, and she looked like she had a mysterious energy of madness.
As soon as she appeared, she calmed the little wizards who came to the class, and her words were far more shocking than her appearance.
Within minutes, Trelawney greeted Neville's grandmother in a threatening manner, warning Lavender that her worst fears would happen on October 16, and threatening that one of those present would leave everyone forever around Easter this year.
The young wizards present were shocked and frightened when they heard this, and when they heard this, they all turned their eyes to Harry.
They suspected that Trelawney's prophecy was Harry's, as many had seen Sirius in the newspapers.
And Neville was nervous about whether something was wrong with his grandmother...
There are also some young wizards who are skeptical, believing that Trelawney is talking nonsense.
Because many of the senior students secretly told them that Professor Trelawney liked to curse a student to die every year, but everyone was alive and kicking in the end.
Ivan looked at Trelawney with interest, he knew very well that Trelawney's prophecies had been verified in many of the original planes, even those spoken in a normal state.
For example, this time, Trelawney's terrifying prophecy was confirmed in the original plane, except for Neville's grandmother, who couldn't be sure if something had happened to him.
Lavender's greatest fear was to hear the news of her rabbit's death, which was confirmed on October 16.
Around Easter, someone will be leaving everyone, and this phrase may be a reference to Hermione.
Because she was really fed up with Trelawney's nonsense at that time, and there were too many courses to learn, she gave up the divination class directly and never came back, and there would naturally be one less person in the divination class.
Ivan was a little curious about whether these prophecies would come true now.
Because if he wanted, he could kill Lavender's rabbit before October 16, so that she could hear the most feared news in advance.
Or cancel the divination class with Hermione around Easter and two people will leave...
Then Ivan shook his head amusedly, he wouldn't kill a little witch's pet in order to verify the truth of a prophecy.
As for whether to cancel the divination class, it depends on whether he can keep the time turner next school year.
However, it soon occurred to Ivan that there was another way to interpret Trelawney's prophecy, which could also mean that Peter Pettigrew would be gone.
Ivan glanced at the pocket of Ron's wizarding robe, where the mouse was staying, so it seemed that Trelawney's prophecy was not ordinarily accurate!
Thinking of this, Ivan became more interested in divination. I immediately opened the book "Clearing the Fog and Looking at the Future" of the divination class, and read it casually for a while.
The various signs and foreshadowings written in the book were so godly that Ivan felt a little sore to see it.
From the direction of the clouds in the sky to the sight of a crow, a black dog, or even a strangely shaped stone, there are different signs.
If he were to interpret it in this way, Ivan felt that he could find all kinds of things around him every day that he could interpret.
Professor Trelawney quickly had everyone go to the shelf to get a teacup and work in pairs to interpret the divination skills she had taught.
With a glimmer of anticipation, Ivan experimented. I brewed a cup of tea, then drank it dry in one go, and gently shook the teacup three times.
Ivan checked his tea residue along the rim of the cup, and before he could see the teacup clearly, Hermione took it.
"Professor Trelawney is here for us to look at each other!" Hermione gave Ivan a blank look, then handed her cup to Ivan.
The latter shrugged his shoulders and didn't care, and Ivan, who didn't expect to see anything, began to look at Hermione's teacup.
The tea leaves at the bottom of the cup seemed to be scattered and messy, and Ivan then turned to the fifth page of "Clearing the Fog and Looking at the Future" and checked it, which showed that it was a bad omen, but did not say anything more specific.
"Oh my God! This is an ominous omen! ”
Behind him, a voice rang out.
Ivan, who was looking intently at the book, was startled, turned his head, and found that Sybil Trelawney was already standing behind him at some point, and Trelawney covered his mouth with a frightened expression and screamed slightly. "You... A.. Slaughter! Blood... Hell! ”
All the little wizards looked at Ivan in unison, their expressions uncertain.
Trelawney couldn't help but take a few steps back, accidentally bumping into the table behind him, Neville's hand shook, and the teacup in his hand fell to the ground and shattered...
Ivan was surprised, not sure if Trelawney was making a true prophecy.
What does this mean?
You're going to make a killing? Blood all over the ground.. Like hell?
Ivan thought that he had killed a lot of dark wizards during the summer vacation, and maybe more after that... It is possible to interpret it in this way.
"Ivan, I think Professor Trelawney is talking nonsense, and it's strange that she thinks she can see the future with a few shakes of her teacup." Hermione couldn't help but comfort Professor Trelawney after she moved away.
"Who knows about prophecy?" Ivan shook his head and said half-jokingly.
"But the one you were holding before was obviously my teacup!" Hermione rolled her eyes and spit out.
