Chapter 2: The Burrow
That night, Maca slept in Xenophilius' workshop.
He built a wooden bed for Maca out of the old door panel, with two layers of blankets and a quilt as a mattress, and another quilt on his body. Although this configuration is a bit shabby, it doesn't feel uncomfortable to sleep on.
This gave Maca a good night's sleep.
The next morning, Luna came over and woke him up. To be honest, Maca is used to sleeping late and waking up late, and now if she wants him to change, she really can't change it at once.
"Hurry up, the sun has risen." Luna reached out and tugged at Maca's quilt, which remained unmoved.
"The sun has risen!" Seeing that there was no movement in the quilt, Luna tried hard to increase the volume.
"The sun won't rise anymore." Maca muttered dreamily.
Luna stared silently at Maca, who was curled up under the covers, for a moment before reaching out and tugging againβshe felt like she could only do that.
But Maca apparently didn't react to that.
After waiting for a few more minutes, Luna turned around and ran downstairs, as if she had a good idea.
After a while, Luna, who had just gone down, ran up again, with a soft basket made of fine rattan in her hand. The rattan basket swayed slightly in Luna's hand, and there seemed to be a lot of small things moving around in it. Apparently, this was the reason why Luna was hurrying down, and the contents were probably very effective in waking Maca up, at least that's what Luna thought.
The girl blinked, then carefully lifted the corner of the quilt a little, and quickly poured the contents of the soft basket into it.
Seeing that the little things were all in the quilt, Luna seemed to be satisfied with the nodding and deliberately folded the open quilt.
After a while, there seemed to be movement in the quilt, and it sounded like someone was humming softly.
"Hmm...... Well? Maca seemed to be woken up, but her voice didn't sound right, as if she had a cold, and her voice was very nasal, "Hmm! What is it? Don't ......"
The quilt began to get restless, and it shook and trembled, and even the old door panel that had been placed on the floor and was used as a bed board began to shake.
Sure enough, the hastily built wooden plank bed was not very strong, and only a loud "clang" was heard, and the whole room actually trembled together. Then, Maca struggled to lift the quilt and groaned in pain.
Of course, the nasal voice is still very strong, and this has not changed because of the accident.
And the little ones who caused all this are all hanging on Maca's body at the moment, especially on the face and neck. They hummed merrily, squeezing around Maca's face, neck, chest, and beyond, and a few of them stuck their soft tongues into their nostrils.
"Uh...... Ahhββ!h Maca shook her head, shaking off the little things on her face, and saw Miss Luna standing aside, taking a closer look at the rare sight.
"Fluffy," said Luna, pointing to the little fluffy things on Maca's body, sleepwalking, "they are very close to people, and they hum when they're happy. β
"Also, they're easy to feed and eat everything from leftovers to spider mosquitoes. They also especially like to stick their tongues out and burrow into the noses of sleeping wizards to eat their dried boogers. β
Hearing this, Maca quickly pinched her nose, because he noticed that several small things were swallowing their slender tongues and were eager to try!
"Okay, okay! It's a really effective live alarm clock, so let's put them all away! Maca pinched her nose and swung her other hand at random, then got up from the ground, "Oh, yes. Good morning, Luna! β
β¦β¦
Breakfast time passed quickly, or rather, there was nothing to mention. Food in England has always been terrible, even in the wizarding world. Not to mention that the economic situation of the Lovegood family has not been very good, and the sales of the magazine directly lead to the fact that most of its profits will be used for the next issue, and the real gold Galleons for life are pitiful.
Luna's dad hastily settled his breakfast, and then apparitions went out to collect materials. Before leaving, he gave Luna a few words, presumably to let her and Maca go around together. Maca, who was smacking her lips and wondering how to make her Gordigan tea taste better, didn't listen too closely.
Luna and her father love the drink, but Maca says it's hard to accept. Compared to last night's fish soup, which was also a good one, this Gordigan tea, which also had the flavor of Lovegood's family, obviously only made people feel painful.
"It's such a punchy drink." Maca sighed and tilted her neck to pour the liquid from the cup down her throat, "Okay, so where are we going to go?" β
Luna looked at where her father had left, and after a while she replied, "I don't know either." β
Hearing this, Maca tilted her head and thought about it, and couldn't help asking, "Are there any neighbors around here?" I mean wizards. β
"Well, the closest is the Fawcett's house," Luna said, turning back and looking out the window, "Farther away is the village of St. Cachpole in Ottrey, where Mr. Weasley and Mr. Diggory of the Ministry of Magic have their homes. β
Maca nodded, and was thinking about whether to visit another wizard's house and make a good connection, when she suddenly reacted to the name that passed by in one of them.
"Weasley?" He looked up at Luna, "Isn't that the ...... A family of wizards with red hair? β
"Not Ms. Molly." Luna shook her head and said in a trance, "Her hair is brown. β
Marca couldn't help but laugh when she heard this.
"It's really brown." Seeing this, Luna repeated solemnly.
"Okay, okay," Maca smiled more vigorously as she looked at Luna, "of course, of course. I mean, how about we go to Weasley's house? β
Luna nodded nonchalantly, as if she didn't care much about where she went.
"Bang!"
Not long after, after the two of them had cleaned up the dining table and kitchen together, Maca watched as Luna disappeared into the somewhat dirty fireplace with a burst of green flames.
"Well, grab a handful, name the location, and scatter it." Maca muttered as she walked towards the fireplace, when suddenly he stopped as if he had thought of something.
"By the way, you must read it clearly." Apparently he was probably reminded of Harry's trip to Tumbledown Alley.
"The Weasleys." "Bang!"
For some reason, Maca produces a lot more green flames when used than Luna's time. Fortunately, this special demonic flame reaction does not have the ability to teleport dead objects, otherwise it would have been possible to move the entire fireplace to Weasley's house with the demonic fire that poured up to the ceiling.
When Maka emerges from the Weasley's fireplace, Luna is talking to Mrs. Weasley.
"Oh! You must be Maca, right? Miss Luna just told me about you," Mrs. Weasley immediately turned around and said hello when she saw Maca come out, "Welcome to our house." β
As she spoke, Mrs. Weasley suddenly walked over and opened the window, "Fred, George, Ron!" Come inside, there's two guests! β
Hearing this, Maca craned her neck to take a look, and just saw a big boy with freckles on his face carrying a large mouse with hair all over his body, and there seemed to be a shorter boy behind him.
"Fred, give me back Spotted! That's what Percy gave me. β
"Hey, Ron, wait a minute! I just feel like it needs a little hair growth supplement. β
"Don't make any noise! Don't see any guests? You can give me a moment of silence! Mrs. Weasley immediately shouted, "What about George? β
Fred spread his hands and said, "Mom, I'm George." β
"Okay, so where's Fred?" Mrs. Weasley paused.
Suddenly, someone pushed both boys out of the way, and then stepped in, and said vigorously, "Hey, Mommy! I'm George, and you've mistaken us again. β
Mrs. Weasley's face immediately changed and she began a new round of reprimands, while Luna laughed like a madman and couldn't stop laughing.
Maca looked at the scene in front of her and couldn't help but hold her forehead and sigh.
"Sorry, uh...... Mr. Maca? On the other side of the fireplace, not far behind Maka, a weak voice rang out, "It's always noisy at home. β
When Maca heard the voice, she turned around and saw that it was a young girl with the same fiery red hair, who looked younger than the other children.
"Ah, it's nothing, I'm just a little unaccustomed to the scene." He probably guessed that the girl in front of him must be the youngest child of the Weasley family, Ginny.
Maca looked at her, then glanced back at the three boys who were being lectured by Mrs. Weasley, and sighed again. He really couldn't figure out how this same family could educate brothers and sisters with such extreme and diverse personalities?
The eldest son, Bill, is always a rock 'n' roll, Percy is wild and face-loving, the twin brothers are just like to play pranks, and even Ron is always a bit of an inferiority complex.
Only the second son, Charlie, and the youngest Ginny, are more like normal people.
Of course, he wasn't sure if the memory in his mind was right, after all, it had been too long for him to remember clearly.
"Anyway, thank you, thank you for your concern, Miss Ginny."
Ginny looked at Maca's smile and wondered in her heart, had anyone ever mentioned herself to him? At least she hadn't had time to introduce herself.
"Okay, okay, let's not all come to meet the guests." Mrs. Weasley finally finished her long reprimand and beckoned her children to come this way.
The Burrow was a little quieter, except for Luna, who was still laughing, awkward laughter echoing through the room.
