Act 482. Dawn Treader
North, Port Aberhurst.
Located in the south of the Great Glacier, less than a hundred miles to the west is Stan Zoya, the headquarters of the Immortal Throne, although it is early autumn, it is already quite a bit of a sense of approaching winter, the wind from the Great Glacier swept in, blowing on people's faces and making people feel the severity and slaughter of winter.
The Great Glacier is an ice field that never melts, and it is rumored that this place was once an ancient battlefield, where several high-level mages fell, causing the severe cold here, which was not simply caused by the climate, but more by the magic of condensation.
Located on a large glacier, the Port of Abbothurst consists of two parts, one half on the ice sheet and one half on land, and the two urban areas are connected by elevators, while the part of the Port of Alberthurst that is actually used as a port is all on the ice sheet.
Above the white earth, a ring stands above, the lower half of which is submerged in the millennial ice, and the upper part is surrounded by a series of towers that were built later.
This is a stargate, and it is currently the northernmost stargate on the continent.
Near the Stargate, there are countless towers, almost all of which are docked next to huge floating boats, which are of various shapes, ranging from merchant ships for regular cargo transportation to passenger ships used to transport people, and at the other end of these harbors, next to a tall tower that stands alone, another huge ship is moored very different.
With a length of more than 200 meters, four twin 410 mm guns, eighteen single 140 mm secondary guns, and firepower covering the entire ship, this huge floating battleship is much smaller than the Stormbrie, but it is much faster than the average Dreadnought-class battleship.
Standing in front of the dock, Reiner raised his head slightly, looking up at the battleship quietly moored in the sun, and he was deeply impressed by this design full of power and aesthetics.
"Is this one of the Magical Society's seven Dreadnought-class strategic floatships?"
Beside him, a hooded Phyllis slowly lifted the hood that concealed her appearance, and in this far north, she no longer needed to hide her identity to follow Reiner's side.
"The Dawn Treader, whose bow statue is an orca baleen whale, is an animal that lives in the cold waters of the Northland and can break through ice floes, and this battleship is also positioned as a high-speed cruising battleship in the Dreadnought-class battleship, although its firepower is not as good as that of the Storm Rose, but its speed is three percent faster than that of the Storm Rose."
Reiner explained, he glanced at Phyllis, this woman who had lived in seclusion for more than a month was now with her eyes wide open, looking at everything in the outside world, according to Reiner's memory, Phyllis should not have been to the north, and naturally she had not been to the Great Glacier in person, at this moment she was like a child on an autumn outing, exploring everything around her.
"Phyllis, do you remember what I said?"
To that end, Reiner emphasized again.
"Of course I know that I can't stay more than fifty meters away from Reiner's side, I can't hurt others at will, I can't act on my own while exploring, and I must report any discovery as soon as possible."
Phyllis nodded and said, her beauty caused the people around her to stop and watch, under the influence of passive charm, Phyllis seemed to add multiple filters to the eyes of these ordinary people, only the beautiful part remained, which made people fall in love at first sight.
Even in the eyes of Reiner, who is not affected by her seductive abilities, Phyllis is still a beautiful and innocent girl, provided that she does not know her actual identity.
"It's good to know, let's board the ship first, and the battleship will depart in the evening."
Reiner bowed slightly, signaling that Phyllis had better put on her hood.
"I see."
Phyllis stuck out her tongue, but still obediently put on her hood, followed Reiner through a series of security checks, and took the elevator of the tower to the top of the platform.
The platform is directly connected to the deck of the Dawn Treader, and the uniformed crew can be seen busy using magic to transport all sorts of huge and heavy cargo into the cargo hold.
Reiner crossed the platform and came to the deck, where uncontrolled brushes were sweeping the deck, and the crew gathered in twos and threes, casting curious glances at Reiner and Phyllis.
Located in the middle of the deck, the twin 410mm guns were not as powerful as Stormrose's triple 460mm guns, but they were also faster and more accurate, taking advantage of the Dawn Tread's high speed to fight guerrilla warfare.
"This way."
Reiner motioned for Phyllis, who was looking up at the cannon, to follow, and then found the crew in charge of the reception, and led them to a cabin.
The space was noticeably much larger than the other crew's rooms, almost the same as the co-captain's room seen on the Stormbrier, and Reiner went to his desk and glanced at the bookshelves next to his desk, almost all of which were scholarly journals and treatises published five years ago, and it seemed that the last time this room was used was at least five years ago.
A model of the Dawn Treading was fixed in the corner of the desk, perhaps because of the ship's sailing, whether it was an inkwell or a rack for visiting quills, all of which were firmly fixed to the table to prevent capsizing due to the bumps.
On the opposite side of the office area is a large bed, the plain sheets are tattooed with the pattern of orca baleen whales, and the furnishings and decorations of the whole room give people a utilitarian texture, which is in line with the characteristics of the interior of a warship.
"It's just that there's only one bed?"
Reiner looked at the bed, he remembered that he had asked for two rooms, one for himself and one for Phyllis, but now there was only one room, which was very strange.
"Uh, Your Excellency, our high-level rooms here are all of this size, and the same rooms have been taken by other Excellencies, I, our captain, have asked the High Council, this is the order of Your Excellency Pragues......"
The crew member who was waiting at the doorway was questioned by Reiner, a little flustered, and explained incoherently.
"Okay, I see."
Reiner didn't embarrass the other party, it seemed that the Dawn Tread was indeed a warship, and it didn't have as many rooms to choose from as a passenger ship, and since Phyllis had to be under Reiner's surveillance at all times, it was obviously more convenient for Lord Braggs to let the two of them live in the same room.
But Phyllis was not dissatisfied with this, but was very happy, and she smiled slightly, and removed the hood and cloak from her body.
