Act XLIV. Quiet night

So, led by Reiner, Claire asked the director of the Silver Rose Restaurant to take a hard look at whether it was an unwise decision for the hotel to contract three meals.

When the mountains of roast meat and roast chicken were served on plates, and all kinds of strange drinks were poured down like water, Reiner could only shrug his shoulders helplessly, sit across the table and shake the red wine in the glass.

Claire's large appetite also attracted the attention of several mages, who did not ask anything out of politeness, and only expressed their surprise at Claire.

"Hey, it's really casual here, right?"

Claire wiped her mouth with a napkin, looked at the mages on either side eating simple food, and whispered confirmation to Reiner.

"Yes, you don't have to worry."

Reiner took a sip of red wine, and Claire was reassured by his words, and ordered three more plates of fried steak.

Dinner lasted two hours, and by the time Claire was full, there were mountains of plates stacked on the table.

"Thanks for the hospitality."

Claire drank the strange pale green drink from her cup in one gulp, and then said this to the waiter who had come to clean up the plate, causing the other to tremble.

"Don't worry, she won't eat people."

Reiner quipped, giving Claire a blank look, and then spoke.

"Your dishes are delicious, thank you Mr. Chef for me."

The waiter could only nod his head, carefully putting away the dishes, as if he were sitting in front of him some tyrannical king.

Reiner gave the waiter a tip, then got up and left the restaurant with Claire.

But when the two return to the hotel lobby, they find out that there is a serious problem, that is, Claire does not have a room.

"Sorry, our hotel room is full."

The lobby manager explained with a commercial smile.

"It's a bit tricky."

Touching his chin, Reiner thought.

They'll be back to Torondo tomorrow by airboat, and they'll have to find a place to stay tonight.

"Aren't the two of you a couple, it should be no problem to share a room."

The lobby manager said something more, which made the two of them stunned immediately.

Reiner didn't take this into account, his suite was so luxurious that it wasn't a problem for two people.

Claire, on the other hand, was speechless, glancing at Reiner beside her out of the corner of her eye, and then said in a small voice like a mutter.

ā€œ...... It's not a couple. ā€

"yes, that's the way to do it."

Reiner nodded, then thanked the lobby manager and led Claire to his room on the seventh floor.

"Wow, this room is so big."

Claire, who had been squirming, immediately dissipated all her hesitation when she saw Reiner's luxurious suite, and she snapped into the room, stepping on the soft carpet, excited like a puppy who saw a bone, and Reiner was about to see the illusion of her tail wagging and wagging in the air.

"Ahem, this is one of the most exclusive suites."

Reiner cleared his throat, went to the living room window, and with a clatter, opened the curtains to see the whole of Wagner Lake, and made Claire come over.

Lake Wagner at night, sparkling, and the stars in the sky reflect each other, and a faint mist surrounds the surface of the lake, showing a bit of psychedelic color.

"Is this Lake Wagner, I've only heard of it before, but I didn't expect it to be so beautiful."

Claire's eyes lit up, clinging to the window, and the soft girl's body touched Reiner's forearm from time to time, leading to reverie.

"Claire, give me your hand."

Reiner stood in front of the window, looking out at Lake Wagner, and said suddenly.

"Huh? Isn't this a little too good, I'm not ready to ......"

The plot of the novel quickly flashed through her mind, and Claire took two steps back, looking reserved.

"Reach out, and I'll give you some more magic."

Speaking in a slightly tough tone, Reiner's words were hard for Claire to refuse.

Although most of the so-called replenishment magic in the novels I had read before was accompanied by some kind of indescribable behavior that made people blush and heartbeat, Claire was shocked by Reiner's attitude, and Claire slowly stretched out her left hand.

Then, Reiner also stretched out his right hand, and the two hands touched together, and a cool force immediately diffused from Reiner's fingers to Claire's palm.

This power is like a clear spring, calming Claire's thoughts, nourishing her body and repairing the damaged soul.

"What is this?"

Transmitting magic is not a simple matter, because the magic power condensed by itself has obvious characteristics, so once it encounters the flow of foreign magic power, it is easy to have a rejection reaction, but it is obvious that the magic that Reiner injected into Claire's hands at this time will not cause repulsion.

"It's the utility of this thing."

Reiner flipped over his palm, and between his fingers, a dark gold ring glittered in the moonlight.

"What is this?"

Claire had never heard of such a prop that could directly transmit magic power, and her face was full of question marks.

"It's said to be called the Hohenheim Gold Cup."

Smiling mysteriously, Reiner said.

"It turned out to be the Hohenheim Gold Cup, I said how...... Uh, wait, Hohenheim Gold Cup? ā€

Isn't that a great award? Why is it in the hands of Reiner!?

It took several seconds to react, and Claire looked at Reiner in disbelief.

"You, you, you, you, you're the young man who won the award!?"

"yes, that's a coincidence."

Reiner's prank-to-play smile made Claire a little embarrassed and wanted to escape, but the magic from Reiner's palm made it difficult for Claire to refuse.

She's not completely fine, the effects of casting magic beyond the level are far-reaching, in fact, the reason why she eats a lot is also to replenish the lost energy.

"So, you won the Hohenheim Gold Cup with that paper?"

Reconfirmed, Clairton felt that the headmaster in front of him was a little different.

"That's right, and it also promoted Crescent Coke to the mercury scale."

Reiner said lightly.

Can this person really save Crescent Academy?

Thinking about it in her heart, Claire realized that her cheeks were a little hot, and the young girl was ashamed to be in contact with the male body for too long, and she couldn't care about the magic that Reiner kept injecting, and withdrew her hand.

"I—I'm going to take a shower."

Seeing Claire slip into the bathroom, Reiner shrugged and smiled, made the bed, grabbed a blanket, and lay down on the couch in the living room.

By the time Claire, who had changed into her own pajamas, came out, the headmaster, who had been tired for three days, was already asleep, making a slight breathing sound, as if she was in a good dream.

Claire didn't wake Reiner up, and tiptoed into the bedroom and got under the covers.

But the whole bed was filled with Reiner's scent, which made the girl toss and turn.
