Volume 1: Theory Chapter 12: Three provinces don't have a ball to kick 1
If we refer to the scale of China and its administrative divisions at all levels, and classify the countries of the world according to their geographical strength, the countries in the world can be divided into the following levels: continental-level countries, semi-continental countries, provincial-level countries, regional-level countries, county-level countries, and township-level countries.
If you want to say which countries on the planet are continental-level countries, I think there are only three countries that can be selected - China, the United States and India, China, the United States and India, all of which can be called one continent, and they can all feed a huge population of more than 1 billion, of course, the land of the United States is suitable for feeding the population, far more than its current population, and it is also more than China and India, referring to the comparison of China's population and arable land, the land of the United States is enough to feed 2 billion people.
Provincial countries refer to provinces with geographical strength similar to China, such as the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Turkey, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Iran, South Africa, ...... These are provincial-level states, and their size is similar to that of provinces in China, states in the United States, and states in India.
Regional-level countries refer to countries with geographical strength similar to China, such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Croatia, Slovenia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Cyprus, etc.
Uruguay, Paraguay, Portugal and other countries, although only equivalent to a region of China in terms of population, their area and geographical strength are equivalent to a province of China, Uruguay and Paraguay if Chinese to operate, with a population of 50 million is at least.
At the county level, there are countries like Luxembourg and Montenegro.
Township-level countries are countries of the size of China's township streets, and small countries such as Andorra, Liechtenstein and San Marino are all township-level countries.
Of course, there are many countries that cannot be strictly equated with China's administrative divisions, such as France, South Africa, Pakistan and Mexico, whose geographical strength is actually equivalent to two provinces of China, while the Netherlands and Belgium, to be more precise, are equivalent to two or three regions of China.
There are some countries in the world whose geographical strength is equivalent to half of China, the United States and India, or one-quarter of China, the United States and India, and I would call them 'semi-continental countries', so which countries belong to the 'semi-continental countries'?
They are: Russia, Brazil, Canada, Australia and Indonesia.
Although Russia covers an area of 17.1 million square kilometers, more than half of its huge area is 'invalid land area', such as the Republic of Sakha (equivalent to the provinces of China and the states of the United States), with a population of just over 900,000 people on 3.8 million square kilometers. In terms of climatic conditions and cultivated land, Russia's effective land area is only half of that of China, the United States and India, so Russia also belongs to the 'semi-continental country', which is also the most critical reason why Russia cannot compete with China and the United States in an all-round way after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Canada and Australia are both less than half the effective land area of China, the United States and India, but they are large enough, Australia still occupies a continent of its own, and Indonesia occupies half of Southeast Asia, so it is barely reasonable to call them 'semi-continental countries'.
As for Brazil, it is a 'semi-continental country', I think everyone will not have any objections, Brazil can be called the most typical 'semi-continental country', although Brazil's current population is only 210 million, but Brazil's theoretical arable land area is as high as 6 million square kilometers, of course, this requires Brazilians to cut down the Amazon rainforest, even if Brazilians can't really do this, but Brazil's current arable land area is 700,000 square kilometers, which is equivalent to about half of China's, In addition, the area of arable land in Brazil is increasing year by year, and the rain and heat conditions in Brazil are very good, so it is not difficult for Brazil to feed 700 million people.
In the previous article, the author has mentioned the word 'too much' many times, and believes that if under the model of 'single football league system', China's population to develop football is 'too much', that is, 1.4 billion people to engage in a football league system and a national team, the effect is not as good as 140,000 people to engage in a football league system and a national team.
In the previous article, the author has also mentioned many times that "a country or region with a population of 50 million is the most suitable for a football league system and a national team (or representative team)", although a population of 50 million is "the most suitable", but a population of between 10 million and 150 million is also very suitable, and even many countries with a population of less than 10 million, such as Uruguay, Paraguay, Croatia, Serbia, Denmark, Switzerland, They have also been able to develop their football careers very well.
Let's take a look at China's provinces, as we all know, China's provinces are similar to countries in Europe and the Americas - except for the United States, Brazil, Russia, in fact, except for the United States, Pakistan, Russia, India, and Indonesia, most of China's provincial-level administrative regions can be considered a 'populous country' alone.
The populations of Italy, France and Germany, the three major powers of Western Europe, are only 61 million, 66 million and 82 million, while in China, the population of Italy, France and Germany is only equivalent to the three provinces of Hubei, Hunan and Sichuan. South Korea has a population of about 50 million, about 10% more than Liaoning Province and about 10% less than Zhejiang Province; Japan has a population of 128 million, which is about the same as the permanent population of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Hainan.
So the question is, since Germany, France, Italy, Japan and South Korea can form their own football league system and national team, can the five provinces of Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Zhejiang and Guangdong form their own football league system and provincial team?
From the point of view of 'can't', the five provinces of Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Zhejiang and Guangdong are of course okay, every province in China can, a country's first-level political region to form a league system and a team, there are a few cases in the world, the first example is the United Kingdom, the United Kingdom is divided into England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland four parts, each of these four parts has its own league system, but also has its own team, England's football league and team, but also the world football leader.
Some people may say that the United Kingdom is only divided into four parts, and England is the only one, and the Chinese provinces can not be compared, then, let's look at the second example Brazil, Brazil has a vast area and a large population, Brazil is divided into 26 states and 1 Federal Capital Region, we are more familiar with the three major states of São Paulo, Rio and Milas Gerais, each state level in Brazil has its own state league, Brazil has 27 state leagues in the country, in addition to the state league, there is also the Brazilian national football league systemThere are four leagues in this system - the Brazilian First League, the Brazilian Second League, the Brazilian League and the Badin League.
