Act XXIII. Review points
"A lady?"
Reiner was a little strange that Claire did not use either the word or the mage, but only the title lady, which did not seem to come with the review of the paper.
"Let's go to the reception room first."
He made a decision, looking at the envelope in his hand.
The front of the snow-white envelope reads "Reiner. Mr. Ian Grey", with the coat of arms of the High Council on the back.
It was the eye of knowledge within a door that represented truth, and the coat of arms exuded a faint magical aura, and Reiner poked out his finger and quickly confirmed its authenticity.
"Nervous?"
Claire swallowed and stared at the envelope in Reiner's hand.
"Nervous? Why should I be nervous. ”
Reiner smiled as he opened the envelope.
"If you are convinced that what you say is the truth, then it is enough to wait for an objective evaluation."
Spread out the letterhead, on which are written the opinions of the paper in elegant floral letters.
Skipping the part of the summary of the retelling, Reiner looked directly at the final review:
Dear Reiner. Mr. Ian Gray, for your paper "Discussion on the Special Gases Produced in Limestone Heating Experiments and Several Problems of Traditional Combustion Reaction Theory", the review committee made the following comments after careful review: the paper has an exquisite writing format, unique experimental design ideas, is quite groundbreaking, the means of quantitative analysis are worthy of promotion, the measurement of various special properties of new substances is very rigorous, and at the same time, several doubts raised by the paper on the traditional combustion theory are worth exploring. However, due to the lack of cutting-edge theories by the authors, the conclusions of this paper have certain deviations, but they still have reference significance.
If the paper is approved, 50 academic points will be awarded.
"Fifty ......"
Reiner muttered to himself.
For newcomers, 50 academic credits is quite a lot, and you must know that a seminal paper in a certain field by those academic masters is only about 100 points.
But for Reiner's psychological expectations, it is still slightly less.
"Lack of cutting-edge theories?"
He noticed this sentence and felt a little strange, what other theory could shake the theory of oxidation, or maybe the nature of this world was still a certain difference?
However, Reiner's thoughts were soon interrupted by Claire.
"Wow wow wow wow, fifty points, I'm not mistaken!"
Claire followed the rules and started from the beginning, and only now did she read the entire review, so she was half a beat slower.
But she still showed considerable excitement, dancing with her hands, almost hugging Reiner, and after realizing her gaffe, Claire immediately took two steps back and made a gesture of keeping her distance.
"It seems that the experiment still lacks a certain degree of convincing."
Reiner was calm, in fact, he didn't expect to be able to smash the three-hundred-year-old alchemy system with this paper, he just wanted to earn more points and see how receptive the world's academic community was to new ideas.
"Relying on the evaluation of fifty points, it seems a little difficult to submit "Alchemy", it seems that I can only agree to the request of "Monthly Alchemist Griffin".
Reiner thought that the articles published in "Alchemy" were at least reviewed and scored more than 70 points, and the paper in his hand could be touched to the bottom line, and the sentences in the comments on cutting-edge theories made him quite concerned, so it was better not to rush into submission.
"Did you really seriously consider submitting a contribution to Alchemy?"
Claire originally thought that Reiner was just joking, but she didn't expect him to be telling the truth.
"In any case, at least fifty points are in hand, and there are still fifty points left before the bottom line of terminating the abolition of the school, and I can only hope to write another paper during this time."
Shrugging his shoulders, Reiner put away the reviewers' comments and began to walk towards the meeting room, now he had to focus on the sale of Coke and make enough money to do his research.
"Well, wait for me."
Claire was still in a state of shock, and it wasn't until Reiner was far away that she came to her senses, lifted the maid's skirt slightly, and trotted to follow.
.......
The reception room was in the office tower, and when Reiner arrived, the visitor seemed to have been waiting for a long time, standing up and leaning on the windowsill to look out the window.
The lady, dressed in a shirt and trousers, with short light blonde hair, looked like a handsome man at first glance, and when she heard the movement, she looked back and was a little surprised to see Reiner.
"Although I heard that the third son of the Ian Gray family was handsome and chic, I didn't expect that the real person would have a little more stable momentum."
She spoke, and held out her hand to Reiner, with a clean and neat motion.
"I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Oriana. Russell, editor-in-chief of Daily Priest, and my daughter, Evanna, are attending Crescent Academy. ”
"Hello, please sit down first."
As soon as Reiner saw that the other party was a strong woman, he immediately felt a little difficult to deal with.
But she mentioned her daughter, could it be that this is a parent who came to the school to complain?
Reiner knew that some people felt that the aristocratic girls' school should be kept pure, and mixing in men was quite impactful for these girls, so he felt that Reiner should get out of Crescent Academy, in fact, after he moved in, he had already received some euphemistic letters from parents, could this be another one?
"I wonder what happened to Lady Oriana coming to Crescent Academy?"
Reiner asked, looking the other man in the eye with an innocent expression.
"Actually, I'm not here for Ivina."
But Oriana dismissed Reiner's speculation in the next sentence, only to see that she took a bottle from her bag, placed it on the table, and asked.
"Principal Ian Gray, I'm here for this thing."
Claire looked at the bottle, felt a little familiar, thought for a while, and realized that it was the Coke bottle produced by Antoine's alchemy workshop.
What's wrong with the taste of Coke? Or did it cause an adverse reaction? Or did you violate some unknown regulation?
While she was guessing with anxiety, Oriana smiled and said to the two.
"I've visited many places to finally find the origin of this amazing drink, Principal Ian Gray, and I'd like to give you an interview called Reiner. Ian Gray – The Founder of a New Age of Taste", how? ”
"Huh?"
Before Reiner could answer, Claire let out a puzzled voice and confirmed.
"Uh, Ms. Oriana, what do you mean......"
"It's the tastiest drink I've ever had, two, and I think it's going to be popular all over the continent in the future."
Oriana said with a look of unfinished interest, and her eyes sparkled, as if an explorer had finally found a treasure.
