Act 401. Game
Later, Reiner accompanied Phoenix on a number of other attractions, and with the experience of the first two attractions, Phoenix gradually began to become less inhibited and devoted himself to entertainment.
After a cheap and delicious lunch at the theme park's restaurant, Reiner takes Phoenix to a building that looks slightly out of place from the outside with the park's architecture.
The one-story building is unpretentious and completely different from the fancy and eye-catching amenities of other theme parks.
But as soon as she walked into the room, Phoenix noticed something different.
Other entertainment facilities, there are all kinds of equipment on one side, and you can see how to play at a glance, but now there are only a few compartments in this room where there are no people, and I can't understand the mystery.
Reiner and Phoenix went to one of the empty compartments, only to see that it was not very spacious, and it could only accommodate two people sitting side by side, and in the cubicle was a black stone.
The stone was magically projected with words and images, and seemed to have the appearance of buttons, causing Phoenix to frown.
"What is this?"
She had never seen anything like this, if she said that the roller coaster was the result of machinery, and Castle William was the result of illusion, then this thing in front of her, with complex words projected on the quaint black stone, seemed to contain a complex magical structure?
Phoenix pays more attention to practical training than the theory school, which does not mean that she does not know anything about magic theory, in fact, some of the teaching materials of Phoenix School of Magic and Wizardry are written by Phoenix, but she is completely unable to understand the black stone she sees in front of her and the magic in it.
"This is my personal invention, and this venue has just opened in the last two days, as for what it is, we can try to see what it is."
Reiner smiled mysteriously, he motioned for Phoenix to sit down first, and then he sat down next to Phoenix, since the space was not very spacious, so the arms of the two men touched from time to time, but obviously, they didn't care about such a thing.
Phoenix watched the projected picture intently, it was a picture of birds singing and flowers, blue sky and white clouds, I don't know why, there were a few thick tube-like things sticking out on the ground, which seemed a little out of place with the scene.
In the middle of the picture, the words "Super Mario" are written, Phoenix doesn't know who Mario is, and she doesn't know why she added the super prefix, she saw Reiner reach out and click on the words "Start the game" under "Super Mario", the picture suddenly went black, and a middle-aged uncle with two heads, wearing a red hat and suspenders, looked like a worker repairing sewers.
What follows is a plot where Phoenix watches carefully and gets a general idea of the game's background, where the bad guys snatch the princess and the protagonist Mario has to go through many trials to save the princess.
At the end of the plot, the game part is officially entered, Reiner asks Phoenix to operate it himself, and with the tutorial, Phoenix quickly understands the purpose of this "game".
To put it simply, it's a matter of running and jumping on a flat map, dodging enemies, and jumping over obstacles to reach the other side of the map, which at first glance seems very simple.
Although the game can be played by two people, Reiner decided to let Phoenix try it out on his own.
Phoenix followed the prompts and put in two copper coins, which were the cost of playing the game once.
Soon, she was up and down the map with the plumber in the red hat, and at first, Phoenix crossed some deep ravines with ease, but it didn't take long for her to run into problems.
It was a turtle.
The tortoise slowly wanders between the two rocks of the map, but it is right on the path of Phoenix.
"Do I need to step on it?"
Phoenix had already stomped several mushroom men before, but this was the first time the turtle had encountered it.
"You can try."
Instead of answering directly, Reiner asked Phoenix to be brave enough to try.
Phoenix thought about it, then jumped over and stepped on the turtle's shell.
As she had expected, the turtle immediately retracted into its shell and stopped moving.
However, the turtle shell did not disappear immediately, as the mushroom man had done before, but remained in place, and the red hat plumber stepped on the turtle shell, and the turtle shell began to slide rapidly to one side, and bounced back after hitting the stone.
The plumber controlled by Phoenix didn't have time to react, and directly hit the turtle shell that bounced back, let out a scream, and disappeared.
The screen quickly went black, the words "Game Over" appeared, and Phoenix, whose hand was still on the joystick and buttons used for the controls, didn't seem to react.
"Ah......h
It took two seconds for a stunned Phoenix to come back to his senses and look at Reiner.
"There is still such a thing!"
She was a little unconvinced, this kind of pit man's operation was too bullying, Phoenix knew that she could trample on these monsters, but she didn't expect that the shell left by the turtle could actually kill herself!
"No, I'll try again."
As he spoke, Phoenix took out two copper coins and threw them into the game console.
The game begins again, this time, and soon she arrives at the place where she had just met the tortoise.
"Stepping on it for the first time will only make the turtle shrink up, and as long as you don't touch it, there will be no gliding."
She quickly figured out the turtle's action pattern, so she jumped on the slow-moving crow very dexterously, and with a slight click, the turtle retracted into the shell, and then, Phoenix hurriedly changed direction in the air and landed next to the tortoise shell steadily, and the tortoise shell that had just let her end the game remain motionless in place.
"It worked!"
Phoenix clenched his fists, and the sense of accomplishment was as intoxicating as if he had successfully parsed a magical model of a spell.
"I'll join in, too."
Seeing that Phoenix is well adapted to the game, Reiner joins the fight, and unlike Uncle Humpty Plumber in the red hat, he is a tall uncle in green clothes, and the two of them are constantly jumping forward in the virtual world.
After about an hour, the two finally defeated the bad guys and rescued the princess, and Phoenix was finally able to relax her tense nerves and breathe a sigh of relief.
It's been a long time since she's paid so much attention to something other than magic, and the black machine and the two little people seem to have an infinite attraction that makes her addicted.
"Lord Ian Gray, what the hell is this?"
Phoenix turned her head and asked Reiner.
"It's a magic computer."
Reiner said when he saw that this had succeeded in arousing the interest of the other party.
