The third episode wraps up and takes a leave of absence
The third episode ended smoothly, which is gratifying.
But because the fourth episode has not yet been conceived, it still needs to take some time off. Let's summarize the creative process of the third episode here.
As many readers know, the third episode did not go smoothly in the conception stage, and it was finally designed after going through a severe constipation-like Kavin. During this time, I was immersed in the low mood of not being able to produce a story, and at the same time groping around in search of inspiration. I also watched it during this time, and the third episode, when introducing the ant colony, specifically mentioned that they established villages in the suburbs, were self-sufficient, and delivered agricultural products to the city, which is somewhat a tribute. The ant colony itself operates in a way that is based on some well-known illegal organizations.
But the inspiration for the third episode did not come from, but from the mention in the summary of the second episode. Maybe many people won't believe it: that day I was sitting on the couch, thinking about the book I read in the second half of 2019, and then recalling the extramarital affair plot in China, and then, I don't know what touched me, I decided to write a serial story of patricide.
As for the connection between "extramarital affairs" and "serial patricide", I don't know. The so-called inspiration is something that comes out of nowhere, at what time, from where, and in what form.
If I have to say, when describing the extramarital relationship, Keigo Higashino once compared it like this, "I used to think that there was a huge wall on the bottom line, but once I crossed it, I found that there was nothing there, and the wall was just an illusion of my own making", and I thought of "the story of the mahout", and then derived "There are no chains at all".
Merely...... This doesn't seem to have anything to do with serial father-killing.
All in all, if you get an inspiration, you can't waste it. I started to design the outline.

I wasn't inactive until I was inspired.
The tone of the third episode was set from the start, consisting of two basic elements, "Earthworm's Eyeballs" and "Beaver City Criminal Organization".
The former is one of the main lines of the book, that is, Xu Fu's pursuit of psionic energy; The latter is the criminal organization I want to write about Beaver City. I've said so many times before that "there are a lot of criminals in Beaver City", but it's too pale to use it as a background setting. Even if you can't immediately show the ecology of the black zone of Beaver City, you have to take out a corner of it and put it into view.
Then, I identified a third element, which is the "Invisible Killer".
The reason why I wrote this character is because Xu Fu is facing a major identity crisis.
As early as when I was conceiving, I realized that Xu Fu and Hu Ma's activities in Anxizhen would make Xu Shengxing have definite doubts about Xu Fu. At that time, I also made corresponding preparations in order to complete this plot, but for some reason, I put it on hold. This leads to the third episode, where Xu Fu will face an unavoidable identity crisis. Although there are also routes that have been considered as "exposure is okay", if you write it this way, you will probably not be able to write some interesting plots anymore. At least not so early. Therefore, there was a disfigured murderer who suddenly broke into the Puffer Fish Hotel and killed Xu Fu's grandfather in public.
Finally, there is the fourth element, "family".
Since Xu Fu has a father and younger brother, there must be other elders and relatives. What the specific situation of these people is, and how they view Xu Shengxing and his son Xu Fu, is also an important part of the story.
I'm not good at describing family relationships, but if I have the spare time, I want to try to see if I can write about a happy family.
…… Belch.

After completing the third episode, to be honest, I was nervous.
The third episode differs from the first two episodes in that there is no real reversal ending. Whether it is "under the mask, still a mask" in the first episode, or "a dream within a dream" in the second episode, it is all a "conspiracy" that I arranged for readers from the perspective of the author. Although I have said since the beginning of my last book that this technique is nothing more than a "demonic exercise", I must also admit that this technique is quite convenient. Even if the previous one is not so well written, as long as the ending reversal is successful, it is enough to leave a good impression.
But in the third episode, there is no such real reversal. At the end of the day, this is a story that first debuts a character who "looks like a bad guy" at the beginning, and then tells everyone at the end that "this guy is really a bad guy", no matter how rough the reasoning process is, it won't help. At this point, I can only do the foreshadowing and foreshadowing with my feet on the ground.
It's not just new foreshadowing and foreshadowing, it's a good idea to make use of some elements of the first two episodes. While thinking so, I revised the outline, so that there were the ant lords who were bound by the environment and the worker ants who were bound by the ant lords, and there was the "why can't it be me" that the ant lord said at the end; The Shapeless Killer also deepens the setting in the process, and connects it to the evil deeds of the Ant Lord...... If you go on in detail, it will become endless, and you won't continue to expand.
Judging from the evaluation after completion, the level of the third episode seems to be in line with expectations. I'm still not at ease, but let's just take it as "okay" and accept it. Keep up the good work next time.

In the first version of the outline, the ending was originally "Xu Shengxing killed Xu Quanan", which arranged a family tragedy chain of "great-grandfather was killed by his grandfather, and his grandfather was killed by his father". But as I have said so many times before, "there are no chains at all", there is no need to add any unnecessary fateful chains to Xu Shengxing and Xu Fu.
So in the finale, Xu Fu picked up the pistol that Xu Quanan dropped to the ground, and then shot Xu Quanan on the spot the next moment when Xu Quanan said curse words to Xu Shengxing.
Although it broke the chain and made the ending less artistic, I was even more
