Chapter 375: Cultivation is only in a thought

On the Mountain of the Two Realms, Xie Baoshu fell into a mysterious realm.

He felt like a man of destiny, who came to the Two Realms Mountain and had his own mission, and this monk came to enlighten himself specifically. Liu Guanshan didn't stop it, presumably he also knew.

History is an objective fact, and it is not subject to human will. The study of history must be rigorous, objective and neutral, and not biased towards any race, culture, party, or system. Distinguish between right and wrong, true and false, black and white, good and bad in historical facts. The wheels of history are rolling forward, and the new system replaces the old one, constantly pushing through the old and bringing forth the new, pursuing the truth, and using the truth to overthrow the known truth.

In the millions of years of human civilization, there have been countless regime changes, but they have been plagued by three difficult problems from beginning to end.

The first is hunger, the right to life, the second is poverty, the right to development, and the third is war, the right to life and health, which is also peace and stability. In this vast history, there is no way to solve them, and no nation, not even any great nation, can eradicate them, these are the demons that have attached themselves to mankind. Human beings, plagued by hunger, poverty, and war, are always waiting for the arrival of the Chosen Nation and the Chosen Son, and this despair condenses the last hope of mankind.

As the saying goes: life is born into the bones, and the steel knife cannot be sharpened. It is absolutely true that only by cultivating the Tao can you transfer and change your life. The old mother can give birth to heaven, earth, man and all things and can do anything, the supreme power of the mandate of heaven, as long as we are willing to believe, we are blessed.

Those who cultivate the Tao and those who study the Dharma must do it seriously. Accumulating merit means that you don't have it in the first place, so little by little you accumulate merit; you should do more of this virtuous thing when you are tired; you should cultivate merit and cultivate your merits and achievements. But don't be greedy and greedy.

If you are greedy for merit, it is easy to create sinful karma, and it is easy to mix good and evil. If you are greedy for merit, you will have to fight with others; if you fight with others, there will be wrong cause and effect; if you have wrong cause and effect, then it will not be appropriate for cultivation.

Therefore, cultivators, remember not to be wrong about cause and effect! This cause and effect must not be wrong in the slightest, not so-so, not casual!

Even if it's a piece of paper, a piece of paper in the dojo, you have to protect it carefully. Don't just waste it and waste it! The material material of the dojo should be loved, and your own should also be loved. If you love material things, you are making merit, and if you waste material things, you are creating sinful karma. This is true both at home and in the ashram.

As a daily behavior, monasticism adjusts and monitors the balance of yin and yang within our bodies at all times, so as not to bias it. This is the basic guarantee of physical and mental health and longevity.

The cultivation of Taoism is to cultivate sexual skills, which is clearly guided in the "Qingjing Sutra", to send the desire to calm the mind and clear the mind, remove the six desires and three poisons, and refine the harmonious relationship between the mind, body, and matter, and must not have delusional minds, and constantly improve their spiritual level, and must stay away from material desires, away from enjoyment, and cannot covet pleasure. Only by being quiet can we gradually enter the true path and attain the truth.

At the same time, it is also necessary to practice life skills, which is mentioned in the "High Jade Emperor Heart Seal Sutra".

to, cultivate the spirit and spirit. The so-called refining of the essence and the spirit of the spirit? The so-called refining of the essence and the transformation of the spirit, the refining of the spirit and the transformation of the spirit, the refining of the spirit and the return of the void, and the refining of the void are one after another, step by step, this is the accumulation of time, the superposition of kung fu, and there is no shortcut at all.

Just imagine, all day long, with a big belly and a fat belly, what will happen after a long time?

If you don't have good physical fitness, if you drag a sick body, what kind of immortal will you become? What kind of truth do you become? How many Taoist cultivators are like this? Which one is not refreshed and handsome? These are all the results of the practice of dynamic and static exercises, internal and external exercises. Double cultivation of life, it is good to go hand in hand.

For some, monasticism is a form of faith, like any other religion. As a faith, it is often a surreal, purely spiritual sustenance. However, in the process of cultivating, Xiaodao has come to realize more and more that it is not so much a belief as a living philosophy of life. The Tao is based on a dialectical view of the universe and life to understand the objective world and self in which we live. It can not only make people detached, but also make people face reality more objectively and realistically, and is a very practical method used to solve real problems. The purpose of monasticism is to enable us to live a fulfilling and happy life.

Life is full of all kinds of difficulties and setbacks, real life is not romantic, and happiness does not fall from the sky. In order to live a fulfilling and happy life, we must first face up to the reality, and then actively look for ways to improve and change in response to the reality, rather than passively avoiding and running away.

The philosophy of life is the philosophy of wisdom. It conforms to the intrinsic law of things, and strives to satisfactorily resolve the contradictions and conflicts within things and establish a new balance through ingenious roundabouts. This approach is peaceful, non-invasive, and a win-win.

The avenue is deep and far. Big and outside, small and inside, all-encompassing, omnipotent. It is like a master key, once mastered, it can open all the cruxes of our hearts, and we are invincible.

Therefore, monasticism can help us to resolve all the problems in life and remove all the obstacles in life. In this way, our destiny will change. The path of monasticism allows us to keep walking along the flat avenue and not go astray.

External objectivity is not subject to our subjective consciousness. We can't change that. The movement of the sun, moon and stars, we cannot change. We were born in this day and age, and we can't choose. Every day, we have to face people and things that we like or dislike, and we can't avoid it. It is not a misfortune that we cannot change our appearance. Unfortunately, our minds are often involuntary, swayed by external influences, and eventually lose ourselves.

Cultivation can help us find ourselves in the complicated world, restore our autonomy, and let external things no longer control our minds.

Therefore, it is precisely because we cannot change the objective world that we have to change ourselves. When the heart changes, the objective perspective of our view changes. We are able to perceive the existence of the objective world because it enters our subjective world and leaves behind images. Look at the world with gray glasses, and the world is gray.

The environment is born from the heart, and the environment changes with the heart.

Some people think that monasticism is to escape into the mountains and live the life of a hermit. There are also some people who understand that Taoist thought is non-action, passive retreat, and no quarrel with the world, and this understanding is one-sided.

The core of Taoist thought is a kind of dialectical thinking, which seeks balance between yin and yang. Inaction is accompanied by non-action. The two are inseparable and inseparable, each taking the existence of the other as the premise of its existence. Among them, inaction is the means, and inaction is the goal. Only by doing nothing can we do everything. Without the purpose of non-action, there is no premise for non-action. Therefore, only by properly handling the dialectical relationship between yin and yang, and obtaining non-action in non-action, can we truly understand and practice the Tao.

Taoism stresses the burden of heaven and the way, and does not talk about obedience to adversity, but about transformation. From the day when Taoist culture was formed, monks advocated people's subjective initiative, focusing on living in the present, and changing their fate through effective struggle, which is what Taoism often says: "Follow the heavens, change the heavens, and my life is in my absence".

In order to ensure people's health, Taoism has the Yellow Emperor's Inner Meridian, discovered the direction of the meridians, the relationship between the five elements and the five organs, and perfected Taoist medicine and health preservation, and there are many immortal prescriptions for rejuvenation and longevity; in order to make people's physique stronger, we can practice Taoist martial arts.

In order to make people's lives comfortable and safe, Taoism has Feng Shui Survey and Public Opinion; in order to recognize people and distinguish people, Taoism has physiognomy, physiognomy, and bone touching techniques; in order to plan life, seek good fortune and avoid evil, Taoism has eight-character numerology, crape myrtle bucket number, plum blossom easy number and six non science.

In order to predict the fortunes of the country and social changes, Taoism has Taiyi Shenshu, Taigong Prophecy, Taiji, etc.; in order to win in war, Taoism has Qimen Dunjia, Taigong Liutao Three Strategies, Sun Tzu's Art of War, Sun Bin Art of War, etc.; in order to cultivate longevity and prolong life, Taoism has Inner Dan, Outer Dan Technique, Health Preservation Technique, and so on.

Everyone can preach the Tao and the Nature, but what is the Tao and the Nature? These achievements of Taoism are affecting our lives every day and improving the quality of our lives. People live in the air, and I'm afraid not many people care about the importance of air to us.

Taoism is using its own actions to warn people that fate is in their own hands, and we must change our fate through our own wisdom and dedication.

In short, by cultivating the Tao well, we can attain physical and mental health, change our state of existence, live an ideal real life, firmly control our destiny in our own hands, and improve our quality of life. That's what monasticism is all about.

Most people in the world think that if they want to practice, they must be far away from their homes, abandon their family affection and become a monk, and enter the deep mountains and old forests alone, so that they can achieve success. Or think that the immortals are all on overseas fairy islands, and they do not exist in the earthly world. As everyone knows, there is no inevitable cause and effect between ordination and cultivation, and that Hongchen and Fangwai are just different in their state of mind.

In the past, Changchun Zhenren was built in Baiyun Temple, and it was not far from the downtown area. Lao Tzu and Buddha both have children, and their husbands are in the world. This is not ordinary

Can ordinary people understand?

If the practice of cultivation is liberated, why should we be alone and hanging from each other? Seeking the Tao for enlightenment, why not go through all the demons and detain yourself in the red dust? Cultivation is not penance, and wisdom is not the same as ignorance.

In the past, the Buddha practiced, the penance was not completed, but almost died, and then drank milk and ate food to recover his strength, meditated under the Bodhi tree for 7749 days, and finally achieved positive results, which is to realize that true practice is not asceticism.

Buddhism pursues enlightenment, Taoism pursues enlightenment, Confucianism pursues transcendent sanctification, and the three religions are holy and true.

Lao Tzu still has a family, and Confucius also has children and grandchildren. The Buddha may not be bald, and the Bodhisattva has long hair. Those who have achieved positive results in the past generations may not all become monks and become later.

There is a poem in "Journey to the West": "The Buddha is not far away in Lingshan, and Lingshan is in your heart." Everyone has a Lingshan Tower, so that they can repair to the Lingshan Tower. "Cultivators of later generations, how can they not know?

Becoming a monk is also a form, and practice is also a connotation. Cultivators should practice rather than pay attention to false names, and focus on connotation rather than form. It is important to know that practice is the foundation, and the form is also the end. If you don't have the intention to seek the Tao, how can you leave the red dust? The red dust has a lot of suffering, but it is precious to be pure and quiet, and you can be detached. It is necessary to see through the world, refine the truth with falsehood, and work hard to achieve something.

In the past, Zhuangzi lost his wife, struck the chime and sang, and Yaofu was about to go, smiling and saying goodbye. How can those who have not attained enlightenment be so free and easy?

Cultivators, cultivate their physical and mental lives. If there is a bias, it needs to be cultivated, and the mind is also, and if there is a falsehood, it needs to be done, and the body and life are also needed. However, those who have no root tools cannot be cultivated, those who hold fame cannot be cultivated, those who have no ambition and perseverance cannot be cultivated, those who do not have a Master cannot be cultivated, and those who do not have the true Dharma cannot be cultivated.

However, in the practice of life, some special methods and special states must be practiced far away from the city, and all attachments must be let go in order to achieve the unity of heaven and man.

Fundamental practitioners must avoid the earthly world and go into the mountains to practice, so as not to interfere too much, so the ancestors had the theory that "the Dharma and the wealth of the land cannot be practiced", and this is not necessarily a cause and effect for the monks, but it must also be treated separately.

Cultivation is nothing more than four words, wealth and law.

"Wealth" has two meanings: internal wealth and external wealth: external wealth refers to all the expenses needed to cultivate immortals, and internal wealth refers to the capital possessed by immortal cultivators themselves.

The funds needed to cultivate immortals generally have several functions: first, because immortal cultivators officially enter the house to work, they can no longer dissipate too much energy in social affairs, and they must first arrange their families well, so that their family members can rely on food and clothing, so that they can feel at ease in their own cultivation career.

On both sides, when you are formally cultivating, you must not engage in profit-seeking things, and you must prepare all your living expenses in advance, so as not to worry about your diet and daily life.

Third, you also need to prepare a certain amount of money to visit the Tao, because after living in a place for a long time, you will be bored, so you need to change the environment to broaden your mind, and you can find Taoist friends to verify the income; fourth, you still need to prepare the living expenses of three or five Taoist friends, so that you can concentrate on your efforts, and other affairs can be handled by Taoist friends.

Gu Yun: "No."

When you hear the Tao, the victims are in the Fa, and if you have heard the Tao, the people who are difficult are in the wealth. ”

The above is only the ideal thing of an immortal cultivator, and it is not easy to say whether it can be as he wishes. Therefore, Mr. Chen Xuanning said: "Financial planners should take open source as the first meaning and throttling as the second meaning. It is better to be able to open up sources and reduce expenditures, and it is okay to be able to open sources but not to reduce expenditures.

If you can't open up the source, you can only reduce expenditure, and although you can benefit from it, it's quite a small amount; you can't open source it, and you can't reduce it, so you can only sit back and wait for it. The news is full and empty, and it can be studied. It can be seen from this that even if there is a certain amount of money, even if it is too much, it is also a danger of sitting on the mountain, and it is better to have a living source, although it is small, but it is not a matter of concern. It is also necessary to know how to use sparingly and sparingly, and try to avoid unnecessary waste. This refers to the words of foreign wealth.

That is, the wealth that is necessary for immortal cultivators. If there is no such vitality, we must use the method to return this vitality, otherwise we have to ask for the afterlife. Scholars should pay attention to this.

It is also believed that the rich man is the capital for the purchase of tripod vessels, which is not the original meaning of "wealth". Cultivating immortals and learning the Tao is the cause of great heroes, and it is not just something that can be achieved by relying on foreign wealth. There are those who only focus on foreign capital and neglect domestic money, and there is little chance of success.

"Couples" are like-minded friends that cultivators need when they formally employ workers.

When people talk about the word "couple" today, they mostly think that it refers to the tripod vessel, which is not in line with the original meaning of "couple". Regardless of gender, like-minded people can do it.

There are several reasons why cultivators need like-minded Dao friends: First, since cultivators work in the room, they can't do everything by themselves, so they need one or two Dao friends to engage in miscellaneous work and take care of it on behalf of cultivators.

In addition to the cultivators themselves consulting the classics, they still need to be studied and discussed together by three or five Taoist friends, so as to avoid misconduct.

Three, "Sun Fuji Female Worker Nei Dan Ci Di Poem Facing the Wall Twelfth" cloud, "everything is finished, sit in a small niche", Mr. Chen Xuanning notes that "the ordinary way, that is, in the quiet place of the mountains and forests, build a thatched hut and count the rafters, so as to prepare for the same way to perch."

Then, make a small niche with wood, which only allows one person to sit, the cushion should be soft and thick, open a door in front, the remaining three sides must be permeable to the air without air intake, it is best to use bamboo silk curtain to cover, such as the one used on the sedan chair. People sit in it, regardless of the sun and the moon, until the yang god comes out of the shell and celebrates the success. Only someone must guard day and night to guard against unexpected dangers.

This is the saying that "the three comrades beware of danger". Dan often said that "three people must be of the same heart", "three people with one ambition to support each other", and "three comrades guard each other", which is also said to be the case. The so-called like-minded people mean that Taoist friends must be of one heart and one mind, take the protection of the Tao and enlightenment as merit, have no external intentions, and have no evil thoughts, otherwise there will be harm to the employer. In this world, many people are all called yin and yang because of words such as "three people", "like-minded", and "bosom friends".

Someone else saw Shi Xinglin say to Xue Daoguang, "If this matter is not protected by the giant outside, it is easy to be ruined, and you can go straight to the capital of Tongyi, with a powerful picture."

The idea of having great wealth and external protection is to be found, thinking that as long as there is great financial resources, it can be successful, which is not true. It is important to know that "powerful" does not refer only to financial resources.

The "Fa", that is, the cultivation method of the Immortal Dao, is also called the Dan Method.

Due to the different cultivation methods, the Dan method is generally divided into two aspects: the inner Dan and the outer Dan. Outer Danshu is the earliest form of existence of Dan Method, and the cultivators before the Tang Dynasty mostly practiced Outer Dan Technique, cultivating Outer Dan in the Ming Dynasty, and refining Inner Dan in concealment. After the Tang and Song dynasties, the world was afraid of the difficulties of the outer Danshu, so they turned to the cultivation of the inner Danshu, and the outer Danshu was gradually not valued by the cultivators, so there were fewer and fewer people engaged in the outer Danshu.

To this day, only the name of Wai Dan is heard, but few people know the purpose of Wai Dan.

Later generations divided the inner and outer Dan methods into three different categories, namely the Tian Yuan Divine Pill, and later some people were renamed the Pure Dan Method because there were few successful people in taking the Divine Pill, so they changed the name to the Tian Yuan Dan Method, the Earth Yuan Ling Pill, and the Human Yuan Jin Dan Three Yuan Dan Method.

The earliest Tian Yuan Divine Pill and Earth Yuan Spirit Pill both refer to the Outer Dan technique. Tianyuan Divine Pill, people can be subdued and stand on the immortal level, and even say that "chickens and dogs obey it, and they can soar immediately". This method has been very rare since the real person. The Earth Yuan Spiritual Pill is divided into two types: the Yellow and White Alchemy and those who can both point gold and further connect to the Tian Yuan Divine Pill.

Alchemy, which Mr. Chen Xuanning experimented with in the 20th century, confirmed to be true, and the latter may be on the verge of being lost today. Renyuan Jindan, that is, the Inner Dan technique, is a common cultivation method followed by cultivators today, and it also has the difference between the quiet work and the yin and yang work.

The Qing Jing method refers to the cultivation methods of the Northern School, and the Yin and Yang Kung Fu refers to the cultivation methods of the Northern School. Due to the different regions of cultivators and the methods of attack, many schools of inner pill art have been derived. For example, there are those who divide by people, such as the Shaoyang faction, the Zhonglu faction, the Sanfeng faction, the Xiyi faction, etc., and those who divide the land by land, such as Wang Chongyang's northern faction, Zhang Ziyang's southern faction, Lu Qianxu's eastern faction, and Li Hanxu's western faction.

There are different schools of thought in each faction, and there are those who are divided by law, such as Li Daochun's "Zhonghe Ji" advocating the way of "keeping the center", which was called the middle school by later generations.

The two sects of Min Xiaogen, the north and the south, each have their own paranoia, so they reconcile and are known as the "Qingjing Yin and Yang Harmony School". Later generations took the Min clan to practice in Jingai Mountain, and also called this school "Jingaishan School".

Huang Yuanji inherited the lineage of Chen Tuan and Shao Kangjie and advocated a cultivation method that was different from the two sects of the north and the south, and was called the "non-South African northern school". In this way, there are many methods and schools, so there is a saying that "there are 3,600 Taoist methods, and everyone holds a seedling".

All of the above refers to the orthodox Danfa. In addition, there are all kinds of side door techniques and outer ways of pseudo-law, and they also use the brand of Dan Dao Fa to recruit disciples, so there is also a saying of "3,600 side doors, 72 kinds of outer ways".

Gu Yun: "There are no two ways in the world, and there are no two hearts for saints." "The method of Gai Xian Dao is the same at the beginning, due to the different physique of human beings, the endowment is different, from ancient times to the present for thousands of years, due to various differences, the same method, and in different cultivators, there will be different effects.

And because the teacher teaches according to his aptitude and tailors his needs, the recipients have different teachings. And the qualifications, wisdom, and aspirations of the recipient are determined

The pros and cons of the method and the high level of achievement.

When a method is formed, it naturally has its followers, and those who disagree with it will follow. There are both followers and opponents, and naturally there are conciliators, and thus different schools of thought are formed.

For the original imparter, the law is the same, such as Ziyang Weng Yun "Learning immortals must be learning heavenly immortals, only the most end of Jindan", and "Ten thousand volumes of immortal scriptures are the same, Jindan is only the root sect, according to his Kun position to generate the body, the kind to the Ganjia sympathetic palace". As for the side door, this is not the case.

The word "law" is extended and can be understood as various conditions and methods related to the immortal path.

"Earth" refers to the place of cultivation.

Mr. Chen Xuanning's "Immortal Learning Must Be Successful" said: "To choose a suitable place for cultivation, you need to be close to the mountains and forests, far away from the city, with continuous springs all year round, and evergreen trees in all seasons. The situation in the southeast can be carried out in more sunshine, and the northwest peaks and mountains can shelter from the cold winter winds. ”

Local folk customs should be pure, and the purchase of supplies should be convenient. It is necessary to have lush plants, preferably pines and cypresses and other trees, and the trees should be forested, and a few trees should be sparse, to no avail. In the southeastern provinces, whether in the countryside or in the mountains and forests, centipedes, snakes, insects and other things are prolific, and they often crawl to people's beds.

Therefore, the room should be clean, the doors and windows should be tight, and the kitchen should be very careful to prevent the invasion of toxic gases in the diet. The furnishings in the house should be simple, and if it is not a daily necessity, it should not be placed in the house. In the quiet room, there should be sufficient light and air circulation to prevent the growth of microorganisms. However, when you are working, the light should not be too bright, and if it is too bright, it is difficult to settle down.

It is not advisable to blow wind indoors, as it is easy to catch a cold if there is wind.

In the book "Immortal Learning Must Be Successful", Mr. Chen Xuaning divided the suitable environment for the cultivation of the Immortal Dao into three steps according to the different levels of cultivation: the initial work, in the place where the vitality is vigorous, it is necessary to have beautiful mountains and rivers, birds and flowers, a variety of plants, fertile fields, sufficient agricultural products, worry-free eating, thick and thick soil, and convenient harvesting, so as to rely on the infinite amount of vitality from the outside world to cultivate the lack of one's own vitality.

Two steps of work, in the place where the aura is condensed, you must get the blessed land of the cave, the spring water is clear, the mountains are stacked, the smoke and clouds are rolled, the Tibetan wind gathers qi, the portal is deep, the pine path is thatched, and the dust is unconventional, and the cultivation of supernatural powers here is easy to achieve.

Three steps of work, is out of the sun after the god of the matter, to be in the murderous place, must be thousands of peaks, cliffs, down to the ground, up can be connected to the sky, grass and trees are not born, ice and snow are full, people are inaccessible, snakes and tigers lurk. The realm of the three steps is different, and the environment required is also different.

It is also possible to use the five elements to talk about the word "earth", which is not the five elements in the general sense. The so-called five elements in the mountains, its wood, refers to the trees, there are more trees in the mountains, especially more trees, so that the air is fresh and beneficial to the body. The golden one is said to live and grow, so that the water from the ground can be fumigated up the mountain range, and then flow down for people to drink.

Mr. Chen Xuanning's "Lecture Notes on Huang Tingjing" clouds, "The water nature is already down, and the spring water can reach the top of the mountain, and the underground water and gas are steamed through the stone along the leyline, and the ground is implicit."

of heat", that is, this is also said. The water man refers to the four seasons to have a long-flowing spring.

The one who is on fire means that he can see the rising sun when he wakes up in the morning. The soil means that the land must be fertile and nutritious, and crops can grow when the seeds are dropped. Water and soil are mainly for survival, and wood fire gold mainly refers to the environment. However, this kind of place is only suitable for the preliminary work mentioned by Mr. Chen Xuanning, and as for the subsequent work, it seems that it is not suitable and needs to be found separately.

Huang Yuanji divided it into "inner wealth and wealth" and "outer wealth".

The Dharma Land of Outer Wealth is generally considered to be the cultivation method and all the expenses for maintaining the hard work, as well as the Taoist Companion and the place of cultivation, so the Huang family only said that "the Outer Dharma Wealth Land, the sons know it, and I will not add it."

And the so-called "inner wealth and the law of the land" said: "Practitioners know the key between life and death, because they know the truth and falsehood, and if they want to be poor and suffer from the qi at the beginning of the little bit of nothingness, they must first reconcile the water and fire in the color body, and then the water and fire in the day after tomorrow are adjusted, and then the yang in the kanzhong is from the bottom up, and the yin from the middle is from the top to the bottom.

One yang in this kan, one yin in the middle is also internal wealth, day and night the divine fire is warm, not a trace of leakage, that is, the accumulation of internal wealth; can find a wonderful trick from one's own body and mind, that is, the internal law; the preface is the original person, that is, the inner partner; and the void is a point, that is, the interior. If you want to refine the Divine Pill, how can the four not be prepared?"

Home health, first of all, is to properly arrange a regular work and rest time, reasonable eating habits.

After getting up in the morning, play a set of tai chi to stretch your muscles and bones and activate your qi and blood. You can take a proper lunch break at noon. Try to eat as little as possible at dinner, especially for the elderly. It is best to rest before 11 o'clock at night, and before going to bed, you can meditate properly to recuperate, which is conducive to relieving the fatigue of the day and improving the quality of sleep. On the first and fifteenth day of the new year, it is best to eat fasting. If you can eat a vegetarian diet, it is also conducive to health preservation and accumulation of blessings.

Lay believers can also worship gods at home, such as Taishang Laojun, Queen Mother, Xuantian God, Lao Zu Tianshi, Mazu, Lu Dongbin Immortal, Guan Gong, Land Gong, etc.

For some reason, lay believers are not able to practice systematically like monks. So how do you go about it?

You can recite the patriarch's classics, such as the Tao Te Ching, the Qingjing Sutra, the Xuanmen Morning and Evening Homework, etc., and the holy name of Tianzun, such as "Jade Emperor Forgiveness of Sins Tianzun", "Sanyuan Forgiveness of Sins Tianzun", "Taiyi Salvation Tianzun, etc."

By reciting the patriarch's scriptures and reciting the holy name of the Heavenly Venerable, you can obtain the support of the patriarch and accumulate merit. When you get along with your family, you must be harmonious and loving, be pure and pure, practice together, and create happiness.

On the first day, the fifteenth day of the new year, and the patriarch's Christmas, you can choose a time to go to the Taoist temple to worship the holy truth. In the evening before the Hajj, one should fast and bathe, cleanse the body and mind, and fast and eat a vegetarian diet. Before entering the view, you should pay attention to your attire and not dress too revealingly. When you go to the court, you can bring tributes to worship and make the Three Realms of blessings.

After worshipping the gods, you should hold your fists and bow three times and bow nine times. The gods enshrined in the Taoist palace are called Tianzun and Patriarch. If there is a Taoist leader knocking on the chime, after prostrating it, give it to the Taoist chief

Bow with your fists in gratitude. When you go to the palace, you can do some things within your ability, such as cleaning, printing scriptures and statues, and other merits, and religiously protecting the patriarch's dojo.

When you see the Taoist Chief, when you clasp your fists and salute, you recite "Fusheng Immeasurable Heavenly Venerable" or "Compassion and Compassion". Some lay people want to have a deeper understanding and study of Taoism, and if they want to consult the Taoist leader, after bowing with their fists, both male and female monks are called "master" or "Taoist". When talking, be polite in your words and deeds. Taoism has three questions: one does not ask about age, the second does not ask about the place of origin, and the third does not ask about mundane matters and right and wrong.

Lay people should respect and tolerate each other, and call each other brothers, no difference between big and small. You can exchange your spiritual experiences with each other, and when you are in trouble, you should do your best to help. Don't be idle about right and wrong, and destroy your cultivation.

When you commit Tai Sui or need to pray for blessings, you can go to the palace and hold a dojo through the Taoist master to pray to the gods for blessing and resolution.

Serving the Taoist laymen, you can also choose the opportunity to go to the Xianshan Cave Mansion and the Patriarch's Dojo. Such as Wudang Mountain in Hubei, Longhu Mountain and Sanqing Mountain in Jiangxi, Taishan Mountain and Laoshan Mountain in Shandong, Qingcheng Mountain in Sichuan, Wuyue Sacred Mountain and so on. The cave heaven is blessed, the famous mountain immortal mansion, the aura gathers, and the gods support it. Pious worship can be blessed by the gods and make a wide alliance with immortals.

Whether it is learning immortals or Buddhism, when it comes to the true way of health preservation, they all start with a pure heart and few desires, and as for the end of silence and inaction, as the Taoist "Qingjing Sutra" says: "People can always be quiet, and heaven and earth are all returned." ”

But life in the real world, as Confucius said: "Eating men and women, people's great desires exist." The confessor also said, "Chromophobia also." People's pursuit of lust and food is equal to the enjoyment of wealth and fame, and it is impossible for ordinary people to do "abandon lust and desire, so they are absolutely tired".

I remember seeing a story in a notebook that said: A great prince of the era heard that a cultivator was over 90 years old, and he looked like a middle-aged man of 40 years old, so he invited him to come and ask him about the Taoist art of immortality. This Taoist said: I have never been close to women in my life. When the great duke heard this, he said, "What's the point of that, I don't want to learn it." This story represents the psychology of ordinary people, who pay attention to the diet of men and women, which is the true meaning of life, and it is the same.

However, on the contrary, the way of the immortal Buddha is indeed not easy, Dan Taoist for the cultivation of immortal arts, pay great attention to the physiological innate endowment, the so-called "this body has no immortal bones, indulge in the true immortal Mo Langqiu." ”

Li Yu, a famous minister of the Tang Dynasty, was born with a self-made and a good joint, but the lazy Daozu only allowed him to have the bone appearance of the prime minister of peace for ten years. Mai Taoist said that money is like water, and the son has no fairy bones, but it is valuable for the ears of the minister! Du Fu poem: "Since you are a monarch with fairy bones, the world knows the reason." This is just as the Taoist said: "Learning the Tao is a great husband's business, not something that the emperor can do." It's the same saying.

In physiognomy, a person is light and agile, is pure, has the appearance of the Tao, and will soon be able to become enlightened. This kind of person walks like flowing water, and his steps are like dragonflies touching water, and his steps are steady, like the wind drifting by. Will such a person be short-lived?

Not necessarily, it depends on whether his heels have landed;

It's another kind of phase. This phenomenon occurs when the body and mind become light, or when the body and mind are transformed as a result of meditation. Unlike ordinary people, who are heavy and clumsy when walking, the concrete floor will be loud, which is heavy.

People who have really been determined, the body born by this parent has changed, and ordinary people are usually thick and heavy, and in Taoism it is called no fairy bones, so bones are very important. Those who have attained the Tao and have the strength of concentration must have light joints and leave the heavy body. Although we can never get troubled as a person and do things, we don't mean to be troubled, but we can't get troubled when we think about it. That's why Taoists say that "there is no reason to worry more about the heart", because the mind is liberated, so there will never be troubles.

This reminds me of a celebrity named Zhang Chuanshan, two sentences in one of his poems: "This body has no fairy bones, and there is endless trouble in the light of stone fire." "This body has no immortal bones", Taoists and Buddhists have said that if you want to cultivate into immortals, first ask yourself if you have immortal bones.

Taoism said, "There is no immortal bone in this body, indulge in the true immortal Mo Langqiu", the cultivation must first look at their own root bones, if the root machine is not right, if there is no "immortal bone", not the material to become an immortal Buddha, you just met the "true immortal living Buddha", you don't want to apprentice to the Tao, and the cultivation will not be successful, because there is no capital. "Stone fire in the light of the endless trouble", the ancients did not have a lighter, take two stones to knock each other, the fire light is lit up to make the fire, but it is extinguished immediately, describing the life of people is very short, desperately in trouble, busy for decades and then passed.

Taoists believe that if a person does not have the root bone of cultivation, not this root instrument, and without this physical endowment, he cannot become enlightened, and it is useless to cultivate after death. Of course not, the method is that only by planting good roots, cultivating all the merits of all good virtues, and then reincarnating, can we cultivate this root and bone.

Seventy or eighty, if a breath exists, it can still be returned, the old, do not lose heart, give up halfway, must be old and studious, the older the more diligent, until death rests. It is not difficult to return the original face, but I am afraid that there is no ambition and perseverance, and those who have aspirations will become enlightened even if they are old, and those who have no ambitions will not become enlightened even if they are young, and those who are young will not make up their minds.

And when he is old and discouraged, he thinks of regression, does not do business, delays until he is old, and he is powerless to do it, even if he does not move forward, he does not know how to do his best first, and then wait for the destiny of heaven, you must know that if the major events in this life are not successful, then the roots have been planted, and the next life will be different from people as soon as they come out.

The root of the dow, also known as the root organ, has innate characteristics.

This innate sign is that he is particularly interested in the Tao, as if he should have been a person of the Tao, and he was familiar at first sight. The second is that he is particularly smart and sensitive, and he understands the principle of the avenue at a glance, and understands it, unlike some elm pimple brains, which can not be opened by thousands of knocks.

The fate of the Tao is the opportunity to visit the Tao, ask the Tao, and learn the Tao. This kind of chance is both objective and subjective. Both are indispensable. If there is no subjective root of the Tao as the main condition, it is often impossible to distinguish the truth from the falsehood, and even if the true path is present, it is easy to be missed in person, or it is often deceived by the false path and it is difficult to examine. Only when the roots and paths are sufficient, can we withstand the systematic engineering of "dragon and tiger lead and mercury extraction".

can be cultivated

Those who are immortal must have the qualifications of immortals. However, having the qualifications of immortals is not something that happens after becoming an immortal, but through people's subjective efforts. In this sense, immortals are also made of mortals. You just have the roots of the Dao, and before you became enlightened, you were still a mortal.

The Taoist patriarch said: "It is said that mortals can also be immortals", which has positive social significance.

He encouraged people that as long as they are sincere to the Tao and firmly cultivate the Tao, there is a possibility of cultivating immortals. What's more, even if you can't become an immortal, if you can cultivate to get rid of diseases and prolong your life, isn't that also a very good thing! I'm afraid that people who have learned the Tao will not be able to understand the truth of the Jindan Dao and will not understand the cultivation Dafa of "dragon and tiger lead and mercury extraction." If you are busy and tired, you will not be able to get the true meaning of it, and in the end, like all sentient beings, you will not be able to undergo super-qualitative changes in your body and mind, and you will still participate in the process of the "six realms of reincarnation" of material reevolution.

If you are a human being in this life, maybe your body will evolve into a beast in the next life. In this world, heaven is not in the air, hell is not underground, they are a level of survival of life. Those who enjoy themselves live in heaven, and those who seek trouble in themselves live in hell.
