Volume 1 Urban War Clouds Section 6 Master and Apprentice Father and Son

Thousands of miles away from Qiantang in the northwest of Dengfeng County, Henan Province is one of the five mountains of Songshan Shaomu Mountain, the mountains here are surrounded by mountains, the peaks are towering, the stream is circulating, the forest is luxuriant, and the environment is very elegant. There is an ancient temple at the foot of Wuru Mountain, which is called Shaolin Temple because it is located in the forest of Shaolin Mountain.

This Shaolin Temple was built in the 19th year of Taihe of the Northern Wei Dynasty (495 years), Emperor Xiaowen Tuoba Hong for the settlement of the Indian monk Batuo who came to the dynasty to teach Theravada Buddhism, and was built at the northern foot of the Shaomu Mountain of Songshan facing the capital Luoyang. Thirty years later, Bodhidharma, the twenty-eighth generation disciple of Shakyamuni Buddha, traveled to the Central Plains to teach him yoga, one day through Shaolin, found that the place Zhong Lingyu is beautiful, the aura of heaven and earth is straight to the bull fight, so he wanted to stay and practice, but the abbot at that time refused his request.

Bodhidharma did not go there, but climbed to the top of the mountain to find a hole and meditated in it for nine whole years. It is said that during these nine years, he spent most of his time sitting facing the cave wall, and even his shadow remained on the stone wall forever.

Finally, the Shaolin monks were moved by his perseverance and allowed him to enter the temple. Bodhidharma became the first patriarch of Mahayana Zen Buddhism in Shaolin.

In the course of nine years of meditation, Bodhidharma insisted on exercising, so he was in good health, and he found that the monks here were all skinny and weak, so he combined his Indian yoga with the techniques of the time and the outflow of the army to create the legendary martial arts, which he gave to the monks to practice.

Since then, the Shaolin Temple has blazed a trail of integration of civil and military, and the Shaolin monks have written countless legendary stories in this more than 1,000-year history.

Shaolin Temple, the ancestral garden of Zen Buddhism and the birthplace of Chinese martial arts, has now become the world-renowned first temple in China, with tens of thousands of Chinese and foreign tourists coming every day.

However, the real Shaolin Temple has long been hidden in the secret realm of Shaomuro Mountain, and it is only a little place open to the earthly world.

The Shaolin Temple in the secret realm is not the same as what we see in reality, everything is more quaint and natural, there are no modern facilities on both sides of the mountain road into the temple, the gaps in the stone steps are covered with moss, the not very spacious temple gate is hidden in the towering pines and cypresses, and the temple eaves exposed in a corner can be seen from the top of the treetops. There is no disturbance from tourists, the Shaolin environment is quiet and peaceful, except for the rustling of leaves in the wind, only the chanting of monks comes faintly from a distance.

The young man in white who won the snow climbed the steps, his steps were steady, and he was not slow. The cold mountain wind blew his robe hunting, his turban fluttered in the wind, and his every step was as calm as a mountain, and his speed and span hardly changed.

On the stone platform in front of the mountain gate, I don't know when a fat monk has been standing, dressed in apricot yellow monk's robe, exposing his left arm, and his fiery red robe fluttering in the wind. The monk stared at his eyebrows, the corners of his lips were pursed, and he had a majesty overlooking all living beings, and when he saw the young man slowly approaching, he called out loudly: "Shang Qi! ”

The young man in white was just in the air, and when he saw the monk calling him, he walked a few steps quickly to the stone platform, folded his right hand with one hand, and respectfully replied: "Senior Brother Shangping." ”

Monk Shangping nodded slightly, and without saying a word, he punched and struck, and he had already expected it, and he raised his hand to receive the move without any panic. The two of them fought together in front of the mountain gate, Shang Ping changed from fist to palm, from palm to claw, more than a dozen moves of kung fu changed to three or four different martial arts routines, it seems that he is quite proficient in Shaolin martial arts, and Shangqi only uses the strange boxing method that Liu Zheng has seen to meet the enemy, supplemented by Luohan boxing, one move and one style seem ordinary, but it contains the power of Wanjun. The internal force of the two people stirred up, shattered the whistling mountain wind, formed many small cyclones on the stone platform, the ancient trees on both sides of the mountain road swayed with the flow of internal force, countless leaves and pine needles fluttered down, and the figures on the stone platform before they approached flew far away.

Shang Ping and Shangqi "Bang Bang Bang" palmed each other three times, making a thunderous sound, and the fallen leaves on the ground flew in all directions, and soon the ground with the two of them as the center was empty. Shang Ping flew back a few meters with the power of his palm, landed lightly, stood with his hands tied, and did not attack again, Shangqi knew that his senior brother's trial against him was over, so he also accepted it. The two of them rose and fell, and after dozens of moves, they stood opposite each other at this time, and their breath was not chaotic at all.

Shang Ping's serious face was a little smile at this time, and he also put his single palm together and said: "Use the half-step collapse fist with the Luohan fist, and comprehend the fist intent from the simple moves to adapt to all changes, which is very good!" The younger brother went down the mountain for a few years, and his martial arts improved again. ”

Without waiting for Shangqi to give a salute and thank you, Shang Ping changed his words again and said: "It's just that Xingyi Quan and Benmen Luohan Quan have formed a fixed system, so when you make a move, you can't get rid of Master Guo's influence on you." Shang Qi, brother knows your ambition, if you want to break through your own shackles and reach the pinnacle of martial arts, the only way to do this is to create your own way. ”

Shangqi once again bowed and thanked the senior brother for his teachings. Shang Ping waved his hand and said with a smile: "Your martial arts will not be inferior to me in a few years, and you can only rely on yourself to break out of the road of self-created martial arts." Alright, now come with me into the temple! ”

As soon as he finished speaking, two young novices pushed the mountain gate open. Shangqi followed Shang Ping into the temple and slowly walked into the depths. The furnishings in the temple are no different from those of three years ago, the morning exercise has ended, so there is no one in the wide martial arts training ground, and the monks are all doing morning classes in the Zen monastery, and from time to time the sound of chanting sutras drifts into Shangqi's ears. Shangqi spent his entire childhood and most of his youth in this temple, and everything here made him extremely dealy.

Shang Ping took Shangqi to the Scripture Pavilion and left, his task was only to welcome Shangqi in, to see Shangqi and someone else. Shangqi climbed the steps, and as soon as he walked into the courtyard gate, he saw an old monk sweeping the floor, and he waited quietly on the side, until the old monk cleaned all the leaves of the entire courtyard, and then called softly: "Master Zhengzu." ”

The old monk did not look back, but walked towards the bungalow on the edge of the Scripture Pavilion, and Shangqi followed him into the house. The room was well lit, warm and dry, and apart from the simple beds, tables and chairs, there was only one Buddhist shrine burning with sandalwood. The old monk fumbled for tea, then turned around and handed a cup of Shangqi.

He is already very old, his face is full of deep wrinkles, his two snow-white eyebrows hang down long, his eyes are closed, and the respected master of the Shaolin Temple is a blind man.

Shangqi thanked him, took the teacup, and the two sat on the ground. Zhengzu spoke: "Shang Qi, the old man already knows your intentions. ”

Shangqi clasped his hands together, bowed down and saluted: "Disciple is dull, please master to solve your doubts..."

Jeongjo didn't answer Shangqi's question, but asked, "Do you remember what is written on the plaque in front of the main hall of the temple?" ”

Shangqi opened his mouth and replied: "Bodhidharma touches the wall and faces the wall, asks the wall, knocks on the wall, breaks the wall, and the wall stands three thousand worlds; Buddhism becomes empty but lives in emptiness, walks in emptiness, enlightens emptiness, transforms emptiness, and emptily contemplates the sand of the Ganges River for ten thousand eons. ”

"You see, the answer is always in front of you." Jeongjo was very satisfied with Shangqi's answer, nodded and smiled, "Since you have encountered the 'wall', why don't you face it, think about it, and then break it?" Whether it's family affection or love, all the fate will eventually have an empty day, why not take advantage of the beautiful time to experience it, feel it, and turn it into a part of your life? ”

Shangqi carefully understood Master Jeongjo's words, and his eyebrows were furrowed. After a long time, as if he had made some extremely important decision, he bowed again, and asked humbly but loudly: "Master, the disciple has been with you since he can remember, you gave me the name of Shangqi and raised me, in the disciple's heart, you are my father." Since I was a child, you taught me to understand things and teach me martial arts, although you have the reality of being a master and apprentice, but you resolutely refused to allow me to become a monk, and did not officially accept me as a disciple. Now that I'm older, I want to explore my own path, but Master, that thing has always been in my heart, and with it, my mind can't reach it. ”

Shangqi solemnly saluted to Zhengzu: "Master, I just want to ask for an answer now: Why did my biological father, Fu Shenzhou, abandon me back then!" ”

Instead of answering his question immediately, Jeongjo asked, "How much do you know about your father?" ”

Shangqi shook his head and said nothing.

Zhengzu sighed, with a reminiscent expression on his face, and said slowly: "Your father, Fu Shenzhou, is the last descendant of a mysterious sect, and his ability is thorough, very weird, and has never been seen before in the rivers and lakes. In addition, he has a strange personality, sneers at all the world's vulgar etiquette, and only does things according to his own heart, so he has provoked a lot of well-known characters in the first few years of his debut, these people are not his opponents, and he preached on the rivers and lakes that your father is a master of the evil sect who cultivates the devil's path, and he needs to be destroyed as soon as possible, so as not to cause disaster to the world.

There are many people in the rivers and lakes who claim to be righteous or just want to make a name for themselves, so they ask your father to do it, but they are all defeated and flee, so the name of this devil is increasing day by day, and more and more people are looking for your father. He was overwhelmed, and finally one day he was provoked to be angry, and killed 25 masters of the rivers and lakes in a battle, and thus became the public enemy of Chinese martial arts.

As a martial arts master, Shaolin naturally can't ignore this matter, Lao Qu went down the mountain to find this person, and one day met him, after some twists and turns, he realized that he was not the so-called evil demon at all, but was misunderstood by the world.

After Lao Wei returned to the mountain, Shaolin posted a heroic post, held a martial arts conference, explained the cause and effect of the matter to his colleagues in the world, and finally returned your father to justice.

Lao Ke didn't know him if he didn't fight, so he became a close friend.

In the next few years, your father restrained his nature a little, and barely got along with the various sects, and then he met your mother, and a few years later, he had you, which can be regarded as a happy and peaceful life.

You'll know the rest of the story, Amitabha... The monks are supposed to be pure and ignore mundane things, but the old man has been with your father for decades, and his lifelong entrustment to the old man will be completed even if he is broken to pieces. He did that back then, but he really had unspeakable hardships, and it was definitely not an abandonment of his family as you thought. The reason for the exactly, the old man naturally knows, but this matter should not be left to me.

Don't be anxious, your father will soon tell you everything that happened. ”

Hearing this, Shangqi didn't hesitate any longer, kowtowed to Zhengzu three times, then stood up, folded his hands, walked out of the room backwards, and strode away.

Jeongjo smiled, his face was full of approval, he was blind and his heart was not blind, everything around him could not escape his grasp, Shangqi's footsteps were heavy and light, it seemed that he had broken through the heart barrier, which was really commendable. Jeongjo sat for a while, raised his hand and made a move, and the two yellow papers in front of the Buddhist shrine flew into his hands. He folded the yellow paper into a paper crane, got up and walked to the door, and threw the crane into the air.

The paper crane flapped its wings as if it were alive, circled around Jeongjo's head, and flew towards the west at a very fast speed.
