Chapter 20: The Pale Man Reappears
"It's time for us to speed up weapons against extraterrestrial threats like Superman." Lex said on the phone to the experiment.
"Good news, Mr. Lex, there is some progress in the use of weapon materials for Superman, you can check them out." The lab staff said to Lex on the phone.
Lex excitedly made his way to the lab below, and Lex walked into the lab.
"What's the new substance you've discovered?" Lex walked to the front of the bench and looked at the emerald green stone on the table.
"Mr. Lex, please don't get too close, this thing has strong radiation, and this radiation suit can only lighten most of it." The experimenter reminded Lex as he handed him a report.
"Is it possible to make these things into weapons or something?" Lex carefully read the report and asked the experimenter, who nodded.
"Hurry up, I'm going to try it out with Superman twice when it's done." Lex smiled and looked at the green stone on the table, and said excitedly.
"What's this thing called?" Lex asked the experimenter.
"According to the investigation, this thing is called kryptonite, and it comes from another planet." The experimenter told Lex the name of the thing.
"Okay, Kryptonite, what a baby." Lex looked at the table with an excited smile as he left the lab.
Miao Yue and Clark returned to the Planet Daily, Clark was on the elevator, looked at Miao Yue, and then looked at his hand to record the previous interview with Lex Miao Yue.
"What's your idea for Superman?" Clark asked Miao Yue, who kept her head down and was silent, and only replied after a while after hearing Clarke's question.
"What I think of Superman, I might be closer to Lessers' idea, I also think that Superman may be a threat to the world, but Superman is now protecting the world." Miao Yue's return makes Clark a little lonely.
"Is Superman really a threat to the world?" Clark asked Miao Yue, who rubbed her head.
"Not really, at least Superman is not a threat now, I don't know what the situation will be in the future." Miao Yue explained to Clark, who nodded.
Clark went back to what he was doing, writing his interview with Lex on his computer, and Miao Yue sat by the window, looking at the streets where Superman and Doom Day had been destroyed.
"Do they really think Superman is an umbrella?" Miao Yue stared at the people who were busy repairing on the street, and Miao Yue couldn't help but think.
"Did Superman bring these troubles? If there was no Superman, would these troubles still come? Miao Yue clenched her fists, thinking that there was no possibility of superman.
"What are you thinking?" After Clark wrote part of the article, he got up and walked to Miao Yue's side and asked Miao Yue.
"I wonder what would happen if Superman wasn't there?" Miao Yue dragged her cheeks and thought about what would happen to the world if Superman was not there.
"So what will happen in that case?" Clark lowered his head and asked Miao Yue, who was a little sad.
"If that's the case, the Met won't be there." Miao Yue said to Clark with a smile, and Clark smiled and looked at Miao Yue.
"Okay, I'll finish the manuscript first, and if you're hungry, go downstairs to eat by yourself." Clark sat back in his place.
"Why hasn't Mr. Clark eaten in the past two days?" Miao Yue muttered and looked at Clark, then took the elevator to the cafeteria downstairs.
"Why would Lex want to get rid of me?" Clark thought to himself, and Clark looked at the manuscript on his computer, which said that it was the reason why Lex was wary of Superman.
"It looks like I'll be able to write another one of these interviews." Clark looked at the notebook, stretched and closed it, and made his way to the cafeteria.
"Mr. Clark, come here." Clark sat down across from Miao Yue, who patted Clark and asked Clark to sit next to her.
"Why are you letting me sit here?" Clark asked Miao Yue, who smiled, and then pushed the plate in front of him in front of Clark.
"I'm done, Mr. Clark, I'll go first." Miao Yue left the cafeteria with a smile, and while Clark was confused, Louise walked over.
"What about Miao Yue? Why did your assistant leave? Louise asked Clark, and after Clark told Louise that Miao Yue had eaten, the two began to communicate.
"How's it going, Mr. Clark, with Miss Louise?" Miao Yue stood at the door of the Planet Daily and asked Clark.
"Well, why didn't you tell me Louise was going to sit across from me?" Clark rubbed his head and said to Miao Yue.
"Why? I clearly made such a great opportunity for you and Miss Louise, and why is it still like this. Miao Yue pinched her forehead and thought.
"Actually, you don't have to spend so much effort for me, do you want to go together?" Clark hesitated for a moment and said to Miao Yue.
"No need Mr. Clark, I still have some business, I'll go back on my own later." Miao Yue waved her hand and let Clark go first.
Clark left his hand, and Miao Yue walked into an alley, in front of a pale man, the clown.
"Tell me, what's the matter?" Miao Yue looked at the clown, the clown smiled and waved his hand and said to Miao Yue:
"It's nothing, it's just to see a small flower shop owner living in a reporter's room, when will the dove occupy the magpie's nest?" The clown smiled and looked at Miao Yue.
"How's your plan going?" Miao Yue looked at the clown, who spread his hands and shook his head, indicating that he hadn't started yet.
"Since you haven't started yet, what are you looking for me for?" Miao Yue asked the clown, who looked at Miao Yue and patted him on the shoulder, and said with a smile:
"My plan is to have someone else work together, do you want to have fun with you?" The clown asked Miao Yue, and Miao Yue slapped the clown's hand on her shoulder.
"Okay, I'll go to someone else again, trust me, my plan is to let you see it, tell the reporter who took care of you, get ready." The clown turned and walked into the depths of the alley.
Miao Yue watched the clown gradually walk into the alley, Miao Yue sighed, patted herself and saw that the clown was far away, so she took off her coat and left the alley after making sure that nothing was installed on her coat.
"Really, why did he come to me again?" Miao Yue put on her coat and walked towards Clark's apartment, turning around and looking behind her as she went.
Miao Yue walked and walked, spitting and foaming. Miao Yue returned to the apartment and took out the gentleman's hat hidden in the closet from the inside of the hat. The entire hat gradually becomes transparent.
"I'm back, we don't have any places to go for interviews today, I'll take you out for a walk." Clark put his arms around Miao Yue's neck, planning to take Miao Yue out for a walk.
"Yes, Mr. Clark." Miao Yue smiled and followed Clark out of the apartment, and the hat was taken out with her.
"Let's go, let's go to this cinema and watch a movie together, I still have something to talk to you about." Clark walked into the movie theater with Miao Yue.
"First of all, have you ever been exposed to or learned about journalists?" Clark asked Miao Yue, who shook her head and said that Gotham didn't have these things at all, and the so-called reporters were just guys who took money to do things for the rich.
"Okay, so the second thing, what did you leave Gotham for?" Clark and Miao Yue walked into the screening room, and Clark continued to ask.
"It's not illegal, it's just that the air quality in Gotham is too bad, I just want to come out and take a look, and I didn't expect to meet you as a kind person." Miao Yue said to Clark with a smile.
"One last thing, do you know the clown in Gotham?" Clark asked with a straight face, Miao Yue suddenly looked at Clark and smiled.
"The outlaw? Is he already so famous with you now? Miao Yue asked Clark, and Clark sighed.
"He's here, be careful." When the movie started, Clark talked to Miao Yue, and after saying that, Clark and Miao Yue watched the movie and looked at each other without saying a word, Clark lowered his head and whispered.
