Chapter 18: Hello! Metropolis
Miao Yue held her cheek with one hand, thinking, and then slapped one hand on a card with the number two written on it, and looked at the clown with a smile.
"Sure enough, sure enough, I knew you would choose this." The clown laughed and puffed up.
"And what about the purpose? What is the purpose of our visit to the Met? Miao Yue asked the clown, but the clown smiled and looked at Miao Yue.
"Purpose? Of course, it's to see that foolish iron man wearing pants. The clown smiled and said to Miao Yue, who covered her face after hearing this.
"Are you sure that's not Superman?" Miao Yue asked the clown, the clown was stunned, smiled awkwardly, and said yes, yes?
"So, what about that person?" Miao Yue instead asked the clown what the person was for, and the clown put a finger in front of his lips to signal Miao Yue.
"So what's next?" Miao Yue asked the clown.
"Next, of course, we will go back to our respective homes, and we will leave tomorrow afternoon." After speaking, the clown turned around and walked towards the depths of the bar, and Miao Yue also left the bar.
"Really, why would I go to him?" Miao Yue rubbed her head, looked at the empty flower shop, walked back upstairs, and fell asleep.
"What is your purpose?" Batman grabbed the Joker on one of the rooftops of Gotham and asked by tugging on the collar, and the Joker looked to the right.
"Purpose, what purpose?" The Joker asked Batman pretending to be stupid, and Batman's fist tightened up, and Batman pressed the Joker to the ground.
"Why did you go to the Met?" Batman asks the Joker, who spreads his hands and intends to pretend to be stupid.
"Damn." When Batman intends to send the Joker to Arkham Asylum, the corsage on the Joker's chest spews out a stream of acid and shoots it into Batman's face.
As soon as Batman let go, the Joker escaped into the night again, escaping from Batman's sight. Batman watched where the Joker had left and chased after him.
"Really, it's not the first time this trick has been used." The Joker sees that Batman has left, and walks in the opposite direction from where he left.
"Hey man, woke up?" When Miao Yue came down from the second floor the next morning, she saw the clown sitting downstairs, waiting for him.
"Why are you here all of a sudden?" Miao Yue asked the clown, who pouted and sighed.
"The little bat is eyeing me, so we're going to pick up the pace." The Joker explained to Miao Yue, who picked up a key that was placed under the counter.
"You go first, I'll be there later." Miao Yue turned around and left the flower shop, and the clown sat in the flower shop and shouted at Miao Yue's back.
"Old place." With that, the clown left the flower shop and walked towards the bar.
"Pamela, do me a favor, I'm leaving Gotham now, please help me take care of the flower shop for a few days." Miao Yue put what she had in her hand into Pamela's hand.
"Okay, I hope you can come back soon." Pamela said to Miao Yue, who turned around and walked towards the bar.
"You're really waiting for me." Miao Yue lowered her hat and watched the clown sitting in the tattered bar.
"Alright, let's go, it's time to act." The clown dragged a large bag to a car and threw it in the back seat of the car.
"What's in that bag?" Miao Yue asked the clown, Miao Yue looked at the bag in the back seat, and the clown shook his head, indicating that he didn't know.
Miao Yue didn't ask, leaned on the backrest, closed her eyes, and listened to the roar of the engine, Miao Yue slowly waited for the car to stop.
"Alright, alright, the car has arrived, wake up." Miao Yue woke up sleepily looking around, not the gloom of Gotham but the infinite prosperity.
"Where's this?" Miao Yue asked the clown, who smiled and got up to leave the car, and turned around and said.
"This is the metropolis, let's live happily for a while, I'll be able to stay for a long time." The clown drags the big bag away.
"It's really prosperous." Miao Yue left the alley where the car was parked, and the fluorescent lights made the metropolis as graceful as day even at night.
"Of course, this is the Met." A tall man with glasses walked up from behind Miao Yue and said with a smile.
"Hello, I'm Clark Kent, you're not from Met, right?" Clark smiled and stretched out his hand to Miao Yue, who shook it.
"Yes, I'm from Gotham, and my name is Miao Yue." Miao Yue said with a smile, and Clark took Miao Yue to the depths after listening.
"I'm going to do a column about these prostitutes living in the dark name of the metropolis, are you interested in coming together?" Clark asked Miao Yue, who nodded and followed behind Clark.
"Anyway, why aren't you going to do a column about Superman?" Miao Yue asked Clarke, who smiled and shook his head.
"The man of steel bathed in the sun doesn't need to be noticed, it is these prostitutes who live at the bottom of society who should be concerned." Clark explained to Miao Yue, who smiled and followed behind Clarke.
Clark walked from brothel to brothel, asking each prostitute the same questions, about dreams, whys, and so on.
"You ask them if these are useful, what dreams do they have when they are all prostitutes?" Miao Yue asked Clark, who was stunned after listening.
"Let's do this first." Clark continued to walk deeper into the red-light district, questioning the prostitutes.
Miao Yue could only continue to follow the person she had met in the Metropolis, and Clark took Miao Yue to complete the interview and returned to the newspaper office of the Planet Daily.
Miao Yue picked up a newspaper beside her, which read: Lex Luthor believes that Superman is a great crisis for mankind and should be expelled from Earth.
"Do most of you have such a big preconception about Superman?" Miao Yue shook the newspaper in her hand and asked Clark. Clark smiled.
"Lex is the only one with such a big prejudice, but I think there will be more in the future." Clark sat in front of his computer and wrote the article that he would report tomorrow.
"Does anyone read these articles you wrote?" Miao Yue continued to ask Clark, who was not the slightest impatient.
"No, they prefer to read Louise's Superman column." Clark said to Miao Yue, who looked at the Superman column in the newspaper.
It says what Superman saved the world again, or what protected Metropolis again. The above bureau content is all about Superman saving that and that.
"It's boring, where is the social column you wrote?" Miao Yue asked Clark, who pointed to the bottom right corner of the newspaper, and Miao Yue looked at it.
"I finally understand why Superman's column is more popular, you are green leaves and flowers." Miao Yue couldn't help complaining. Clark could only smile helplessly.
"Anyway, you don't have a place to go, I'll take you to my house for a while, I still have a guest room at home." Clark got up and led Miao Yue to his residence.
"The place is a little small, but since it's free, you don't have to worry about it so much." Clark took Miao Yue into the guest room and said with a smile.
"It's okay, thank you, Mr. Kent." Miao Yue smiled and bowed to Clark.
"These are nothing, since you escaped from Gotham, it is estimated that it will not be just these days, so I have to go to work tomorrow, do you want to come along?" Clark turned to Miao Yue and asked, Miao Yue asked puzzled.
"You're a full-time reporter, why should I go along?" Miao Yue asked Clark, who smiled.
"I'm going to do an interview with Lex Luthor, I might have something to do halfway, I'm going to let you talk to Lex halfway through for some time, so that I can rush back and make me lose this cherished plan." Clark finished speaking and waited for Miao Yue's response.
"Yes, Mr. Clark, what time is tomorrow?" Miao Yue smiled and asked Clark.
"Come with me tomorrow at half past seven." Clark smiled and returned to his bedroom, and Miao Yue also slept in his bedroom.
"Hey, wake up, it's time for breakfast." Clark went to Miao Yue's bedroom and woke Miao Yue up.
"I only went to bed in the middle of the night last year, why did you get up so early?" Miao Yue rubbed her head and looked at Clark, Clark smiled and didn't answer, Miao Yue didn't say anything, sat down and started eating.
