The largest prison in China

The largest prison in China

I don't know where the smallest prison in China is, but I spent more than six years in China's largest prison.

The Yangsha Prison Administration, although it was transformed from Yangsha Farm to the Prison Administration many years ago, has 12 prisons under it. But, both in fact and in people's unconverted consciousness, he is still seen as a prison.

The institutional change has not changed the meaning of the Yangsha Prison Administration as an independent prison.

There are 31 prisons in HB province, of which 12 are in Shayang. The total number of inmates in Yangsha Prison accounts for 60% of the total number of inmates in the province, about 14,000, and 40% of the inmates are held in prisons in the provincial capital and other cities.

Yangsha Prison was formerly known as the Provincial Prison of the Republic of China, and after liberation, the government moved the Provincial Prison to the uninhabited plain wetlands. The 100,000 Kuomintang prisoners of war were the first to serve their sentences in Yangsha Prison. The Provincial Prison has since been renamed the Provincial Yangsha Labor Reform Farm.

The farm consists of more than a dozen farms such as one farm and two farms.

The farms are widely distributed in Yangsha and surrounding counties and cities, and each farm has more than 40,000 acres of wasteland.

By 2005, successive generations of inmates were mainly engaged in agricultural production, but as the number of inmates continued to decrease, the 100,000-strong army was reduced to just over 14,000 today.

The number of people decreased, but the land did not decrease, and the more time passed, the amount of labor paid by the inmates became greater and greater, until the inmates were terrified when they knew that they would be sentenced to Yangsha, and some even preferred to self-harm and suicide rather than serve their sentences in Yangsha Prison.

After 2006, all the prisons in Yangsha were converted to inmates engaged in contracted processing and manual labor in the prisons, and the workload of inmates was reduced.

Yangsha Prison is large.

He is not only a law enforcement agency, but also a procuratorate, a public security bureau, and a court, and he completely embodies the model of the integration of the three powers of the judicial system in China. As a result, Yangsha Prison is the same as all prisons in the country, and all its law enforcement activities are extremely correct.

Yangsha Prison Black.

In the past, some inmates wrote to their families: "Mom, this place is so dark that I often have a blue nose and swollen face......

The inmates' homes don't know what darkness is, and they think about it, is there no sun in this place? Or sleep at night without a light? So, I sent a flashlight to my son.

It's a true story and a joke.

Prison blackness means that there are no human rights here, no one's dignity, and the right to life and health are erased.

High-intensity labor has taken the health of many people.

Agricultural production in previous years had several major plant species, which cost human lives.

Peanuts, when it was harvest time, the inmates withstood the strong sun, and many people collapsed in the fields due to heat stroke. Rice, many people can see the bones on their fingers when planting rice. Cotton, when harvesting flowers or pulling cotton stems, makes it unbearable to be tired.

The working hours are as long as more than 10 hours a day, and if they fail to complete the task, they will be punished and beaten, and the supervision post will follow the crowd with a shovel handle, and if anyone talks lazily, it will fall big, and many shovel handles are not damaged in labor, but are broken by beating people.

Labor is compulsory, and no other disease can escape labor unless there is an imminent illness of death.

In 2003, Wang Hu, a prisoner in the third ward of Lianhuayuan Prison, had advanced tuberculosis and vomited blood every day, so he could no longer work. It doesn't matter, the prison guards dragged him to the field on a motorcycle, and he basks in the sun without working, and the prison guards also have a hearty saying: "Basking in the sun is good for health." ”

Not long after the peanut season passed, Wang Hu died. It's a pity, no one at home came to collect the body, and I don't know what to do with it in the end.

Forced labor has afflicted the old, the weak, the sick and the disabled. During the day, you can't play labor tasks, and at night you are punished for running drills, and you run until eleven or two o'clock when you run. If you don't run and exercise, you will have a serious lack of sleep time, and this run is even more exhausting.

Running exercises are not free to run, there is a team leader to follow, the team leader carries a big wooden stick, it is not good to get a stick or be kicked, and the head is scolded, that is a common thing.

In previous years, prisons had mortality targets, within which people were treated as normal deaths, regardless of how they died. Of course, if the target is exceeded, it is just a matter of effort, and it will be treated as a normal death. Therefore, the prison police and special prisoners were able to beat people, and the heroes and heroes in society in the past sometimes lined up in a regular manner, waiting to be beaten.

Sometimes it's not for anything to get beaten, it's just for the sake of going through the motions. The beaters are only trying to establish their prestige.

I was a "man of culture", and I was the only one who didn't get beaten out of the eleven new convicts I left the squad with. How those ten people were beaten, they were confused, and they couldn't tell themselves.

There are many ways in prisons that are different from what we have seen before.

Carry the sword on your back, cuff your hands behind your back, and later get down from your neck, put one hand on your waist, and add items such as sticks and bricks between your hands and your back. The sword-bearer was required not to let the sticks and bricks fall, so that the condemned prisoner had to hunch over and maintain a fixed position so that the sword would not fall.

Rope rope, hemp rope wet with water, wrap around the arms of the back, this way of execution seems to be soft, the hemp rope swells through the water, will wrap the arms tighter and tighter, and eventually can make the arms blood blocked. If on that day, the rope is roped, and the cadres forget to untie it within a certain period of time, that pair of hands will be completely wasted.

Hang the blue ball rack, handcuff the person with both hands, or one hand, the town is handcuffed at one end, and the other hand is handcuffed on the blue ball rack, and the person stands, the two toes just touch the ground, and they are generally hung for a day and a night. After a long time, both hands are about to be wasted.

Bask in the sun, put shackles and handcuffs on people, throw people on the pitch in the summer, and let the sun shine until they bring them down.

Soak in cold water, tie up the person in winter, throw it into the pool, soak until the person's face is black, and when his life hangs by a thread, then scoop the person up.

There are many other ways to make a whole person.

In short, all methods of execution are aimed at achieving a goal, that is, to make the prisoner obey the cadres. Right or wrong, this place doesn't need to be pleaded.

Yangsha Prison was once famous for its blackness.

When a group of prisoners from the Western Prison were sent to Yangsha to serve their sentences, when they arrived at a certain farm in Yangsha, they saw the prisoners kneeling in several rows, beaten one by one, and some of the prisoners were already covered with blood.

The group of prisoners knelt down for the western prison guards who sent them down, and asked the prison guards to take them back again.

When the western prison guard was helpless to get in the car and leave, one of the prisoners ran over and hugged his legs, crying, "You beat me to death, I can't throw me in this place." ”

The western prison guards couldn't get out, so they said to the cadres of Yangsha Farm: "Can you be kind to the prisoners?" ”

The prison guards of Yangsha Prison insulted the prison guards of the Western Prison: "You connived at those prisoners for Lao Tzu......"

The prison guards of the Western Prison and the prison guards of Yangsha Prison also made moves.

In the end, the group was forcibly retained under the control of the SWAT.

This is a story that I was convicted of and was told to me by one of the convicts of the West.

There is also an old prisoner who has rolled the board here before: "Every farm in Yangsha Prison has a normal death of many people every year, and only five of the nine people who left the team with him made it out alive. ”

That's true of Yangsha, and that's what every prisoner who has ever experienced it says.

Since 2004, when the prison law enforcement methods were reformed, many prison law enforcement methods have improved over a long period of time. Now, prisons are not allowed to scold or beat, and because of this change, prisons have basically eliminated cell bosses. Although the phenomenon of swearing and beating still exists, prisons are indeed much more civilized than before.

The era of blackness is basically over. However, the image of the prison as favoritism and malpractice and perversion of the law for bribes has become even more serious. Go to the relationship, get an easy labor position, get a commutation, almost everyone who has spare money at home is doing it, and when there is time, it is simply a clear price, two-way choice, the prisoner looks for the cadre, and the cadre looks for the prisoner. The powerful police officers in the prisons, such as the Prison Administration Section, the Criminal Law Enforcement Section, and other key departments, have too many connections among the inmates.

Whether it is the darkness of the prison or the favoritism of the prison, it has caused great harm to the hearts of the inmates, and the current injustice and unfairness have played a negative role in educating the inmates, who have learned to be unscrupulous, despicable, accustomed to and learned to live in dark corners.

Mistakes in the concept of law enforcement by law enforcers are an important obstacle to the progress of human rights in prisons.

In prisons, whether they hold assemblies or small meetings, many prison guards, including the prison warden, have said something like this, which follows a clause in the prison law: "Prison is a combination of punishment and reform...... and they understand it this way, punishing inmates first, and then reforming. Therefore they uttered these uncommon sense words from their mouths: When you come to prison, you will first suffer ...... sin.

Sadly, as justice, they do not know the meaning of punishment, whether international or domestic, and the punishment for prisoners is deprivation of liberty, and the sentences served by prisoners are not the same as in the past and in ancient times. At that time, it was hard labor and punishment. In a civilized society, the punishment of prisoners is called freedom punishment, which is just to isolate prisoners from the outside world and give them a space for reflection, because of the misunderstanding of our law enforcers, many human rights of prison inmates have been lost, forced labor, forced to study, and even deprived of the right to speak.

They are extrajudicial justice.

There are too many examples of people being deprived of the right to speak, and on May 10, two days before I completed my sentence, one of my co-changers said a very ordinary sentence to another co-changer, and I was disqualified from commuting my sentence. It's heart-wrenching and intimidating.

It came to pass that a prisoner named Feng Xiu had been punished for standing for a fight, and had been standing for several days, from six in the morning to ten in the evening. On the evening of the 10th, Feng Xiu returned to the cell, and a prisoner named Wang Dawei made a joke: "You came back so early today? The vajra leg hasn't been trained yet. Just this sentence, being told by the "321" in the same cell, the prison is terrified to such an extent. It is no wonder that many inmates have reintegrated into society and gone down the path of crime. Sometimes I really don't blame them, it's so depressed.

Three days before I completed my sentence, another incident happened. Of course, this kind of thing was common throughout my sentence, but when I was about to complete my sentence, it happened again, and he hurt my heart, which had just returned to normalcy.

On the morning of May 9, while we were preparing for dinner at the scene, three inmates from another sub-cell brought out a man who was crying and screaming in a miserable voice. Upon inquiry, the prisoner's old mistakes had returned. It may be potassium deficiency syndrome, loss of sensation in both legs. However, he was still required to work.

Several inmates carried him to the scene of the meal, threw him on the ground, and left him to cry.

When the meal was served at noon, the cadres asked several prisoners to throw him into the sun so that he could sunbathe. In the evening, he was sent to a training squad to be punished for pretending to be sick and resisting labor.

Men don't shed tears lightly, and I have shed tears. When I was seriously ill, I also asked the cadres to rest.

The human rights to life and health are not respected, and they continue to show that they respect human rights.

I served more than six years in prison, half of which was spent on the board. Among the inmates in the entire prison area, I am a person who can mix well, and I am called Teacher He by the inmates. Actually, I haven't been a teacher or educated, but I'm not harmful and helpful on the board.

I don't think there are bad people in the prison, as long as the people here are willing to cooperate, they are all trying to achieve their own good life pursuits.

Yangsha Prison may be completely dismantled in two years, and he will be integrated into four prisons and moved to four neighboring cities.
