Chapter Sixty-Seven: Maca and the Eight-Eyed Spider

Ron, who had always been suppressed, finally broke out after Hermione's attack, and the object of his outburst was none other than Maca.

"Don't you have anything to say!"

This was the third time Ron had said this, and it looked like a faulty repeater.

Maca was pressed against the door of the bedside table by Ron with all her might, looking at him expressionlessly and without saying a word.

"Ron......" Harry walked over and pulled Ron's clothes, but he ignored him.

He just stared at Maka's face, the anger on his face almost overflowing.

After the initial surprise and surprise, Professor McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey hurried over and pulled Ron away. They looked wondering, wondering what had happened between Ron and Maca.

Maca stood up and straightened her crumpled robe with a calm expression, but her gaze wandered to Hermione's face again.

"Maca! Don't you want to explain, what exactly happened! ”

Ron was still yelling, and although he was stopped by Professor McGonagall and couldn't rush again, the anger on his face didn't diminish by half.

Harry looked back and forth at Ron and Maca with a look of embarrassment, not knowing what to do for a moment.

"Marka, I've heard that you and Professor Lockhart first discovered Hermione......" Harry said, "I don't know...... Have you seen who did it? ”

Harry said it tactfully, but there was also a hint of hesitation in his tone.

Maca didn't look up, he just looked at Hermione and shook her head slightly.

Of course he didn't see it! Because that's what he does, isn't it! Ron didn't struggle anymore, he just stared at Maca with hatred and said angrily.

"That's it! I believe in Mr. McLean, and you should believe him too, aren't you friends? Professor McGonagall put her hands on Ron's shoulders and said solemnly.

"Yes! Friend ...... "Ron don't look away and stop looking at Maca."

That night, Maca leaned against the window at the back of Hagrid's hut, remained invisible, and waited quietly.

Harry and Ron didn't come, presumably because Harry didn't get the hint he should have gotten from Tom Riddle's diary, the young Voldemort.

Fifty years ago, young Voldemort framed Hagrid and put all the blame on Hagrid. Although it is indeed a big problem to feed such a dangerous creature as the eight-eyed giant spider without permission, it has nothing to do with the secret room after all.

This was supposed to be an important clue for Harry to lead him to Aragog, the eight-eyed spider, which at least gave Harry some clarity.

But now, Harry and Ron won't know anything more about this old story from fifty years ago, and Maca doesn't want them to know about it now.

Nowadays, there are frequent accidents of students and even ghosts being petrified, and the Ministry of Magic has already taken action. Lucius Malfoy, who had always despised Dumbledore, took this opportunity to force other school board members to sign Dumbledore's headmaster dismissal order.

By this time, the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, had arrived. And, of course, Dumbledore himself.

"It's terrible, Hagrid," Fudge said in a crisp and quick tone, "it's terrible, it has to come." There were four attacks on Muggles, which was too much and the Ministry of Magic had to take action. ”

"I didn't," Hagrid looked at Dumbledore pleadingly, "you know I didn't, Professor Dumbledore, sir......"

"I hope you understand, Connelly. I have complete trust in Hagrid. Dumbledore frowned at Fudge.

"But look, Albus," said Fudge unnaturally, "Hagrid's record is not in his favor!" The Ministry of Magic had to do something...... We have been in contact with the School Board. ”

"Really? But Connelly, I'm going to tell you, taking Hagrid away won't help at all. Dumbledore said.

His blue eyes shone with a rare amount of anger.

"Take a look from my point of view!" Fudge said, fiddling with his top hat, "I'm under a lot of pressure...... Something had to be done. If it turns out that it wasn't Hagrid, he'll come back, not a word. But I had to take him away. Shouldn't I fulfill my own-"

"Take me away?" Hagrid said, shivering, "Where to take it?" ”

"It's a short time," Fudge said, not looking Hagrid in the eye, "not a punishment, just a precaution." If you catch another person, you will be released with full apologies......"

"It's not Azkaban, is it?" Hagrid asked in a hoarse voice.

Before Fudge could reply, he heard another knock on the door.

Dumbledore turned to open the door.

It was Lucius Malfoy, who strode into Hagrid's cabin, wrapped tightly in a long black travel cape, with a cold, contented smile on his face.

The teeth on one side began to bark wildly.

"You're here, Fudge," he said with satisfaction, "good, good......"

"What are you doing here?" Hagrid said angrily, "Get out of my house!" ”

"Believe me, my dear friend, I'm not glad to enter your roomβ€”ohβ€”you call it a house?"

Lucius Malfoy looked around the small chamber and sneered.

"I just came to the school to have a look, and I was told the principal was here."

"What the hell are you looking for me, Lucius?" Dumbledore said.

He spoke politely, but the anger still burned in his pale blue pupils.

"Things are terrible," said Mr. Malfoy lazily, pulling out a long roll of parchment, "and the board thinks it's time to let you go." It's a recall orderβ€”"

"You'll see that twelve directors have signed it. We don't think you're using your talents. How many attacks have occurred so far? That's two this afternoon, aren't they? At this rate, there would be no Muggle students left at Hogwarts...... We should all know that that would be a terrible loss for the school. ”

"Oh, what? What do you say, Lucius," Fudge said, looking alarmed, "Dumbledore deposed?" No, no...... We are absolutely not willing to ...... right now."

Maca leaned against the back of the house, listening to the conversation in the room, but her eyes kept wandering on the ground, as if looking for something.

He's not here to eavesdrop on useless nonsense, at least that's not the main purpose.

β€œβ€¦β€¦ Pregnant. ”

Suddenly, Maca crouched down, looked at the small spiders lined up on the ground, and said secretly in her heart.

Now that the target has been found, there's no need to stay here. He followed the small group of spiders towards the Forbidden Forest.

In Hagrid's cabin, Dumbledore, who was talking, glanced in the direction of Marca's movement, but there was no flaw on his face.

……

As soon as the spiders entered the forest, their speed suddenly increased.

Maca had to light her wand and run after her, but after a while, she heard a loud click, and suddenly she felt a long, furry thing grab him by the waist, causing him to hang face down in the air.

It was an eight-eyed giant spider that had not yet reached adulthood, but its unique size still allowed it to lift a teenager with ease.

Maca calmly aimed her wand at its stinging mouthparts, but the other party didn't seem to intend to eat it on the spot, and instead ran with Maca.

The eight-legged creature is obviously nimble, and it is still very fast to crawl through the dense jungle.

Gradually, the darkness seemed to fade a little, and by the bright moonlight tonight, it was possible to see that the ground covered with fallen leaves was now densely packed with spiders.

He twisted his neck and saw that they had come to the edge of a wide hollow.

The trees in the hollow had been cleared, and a large number of eight-eyed giant spiders had gathered inside.

They're not like the baby spiders that crawl through the fallen leaves below, but each is the size of two horses.

The giant spider that was holding Maca descended the steep slope towards a misty, hemispherical web in the center of the hollow, surrounded by its companions. When they saw what it was clamping onto, they all moved their claws excitedly, making a clicking sound.

The spider releases its claws, and the maca lands on the fluffy dead leaves. He patted the dirt off his body, then stood up with a calm face.

The spider that threw him away was talking. Believe me, it's not easy to hear, because it has to clatter and fiddle with its big claws with every word it says.

"Aragog!" It shouted, "Aragog! ”

From the middle of the misty, hemispherical webs, a spider the size of a small elephant emerged very slowly. Its body and legs were black to gray, and each eye on its ugly head with large claws was covered with a layer of white.

"What's going on?" It says.

There was a click, and the two big claws moved rapidly.

"People." Said the spider who had just grabbed Maca.

"Is it Hagrid?" Aragog said, moving closer, eight milky eyes staring blankly.

"Unfortunately, it's not."

Maca looked at the massive size of the eight-eyed spider in front of her, as if to confirm something.

"Kill him," said Aragog, irritated at first, "I'm sleeping......"

"It's no good to kill meβ€”"

Maca looked at him calmly, took out a bottle, pulled the cork out, and made a "pop" sound.

"What...... What the! Aragog snapped back a long distance, "Oh! Damn it – I hate the smell! ”

Like Aragog, its spider grandchildren retreated in panic, creating a circular clearing in the somewhat crowded hollow.

"Aragog, I suppose you should be familiar with this smell...... "Maca said as she looked at Aragog, "Would you be interested in making a deal?" ”

"The wisdom of the Eight-Eyed Spider Clan is always overshadowed by their innate ferocity, which leads to the neglect of other races. But at least I think you should understand the benefits of 'trading' such things...... By the way, I'm a Hogwarts student and a friend of Hagrid's, and he told me those stories about you and Hagrid fifty years ago. ”
