Section 11 The Big Tent
Enter the fourteenth day of the eternal world.
Wilson experienced the first rain that came into this world, beginning last night and ending this morning. Seven people leaned against the big tree in the base, barely surviving the rain, and they really needed a tent!
Their wood, grass, and chests were all wet, and their bodies were wet. As soon as the rain stopped, Wilson quickly lit the stone fire pit, and everyone gathered to roast away the moisture from his body. The rain wasn't all bad, as their crops were ripe, with four corns, two carrots, a pomegranate and a tomato, as Wolfgang put it, "a big pumpkin." The crops here do grow very quickly, but apparently there is very little fruit to be harvested, only one per plant.
Replanting the seeds, today's task is to set up a tent. Enough ingredients have been collected to build the tent, and today everyone has finally made up their minds to act together.
Wilson and Willow weaved the straw into rope rolls, Wolfgang and Woody reclaimed a flat ground and stepped on it, Woody cut a few wooden wedges, and the old grandmother roughly woven the spider silk into clothβa silk that was very tough and at the same time very rough; The female warrior Vigford still chases butterflies around, and she never tires of it. Their new friend, Mute Ves, no one could read his sign language, and he himself didn't seem to understand what everyone was saying, so he had to do whatever he wanted, and there was no shortage of manpower anyway.
After a busy day's work, the tent was finally set up before nightfall, a large tent that could hold ten people: it was woven into a tarpaulin made of spider silk, connected by a rope loop of straw, fastened to the ground with a wooden wedge, and had a bottom mat and a rain sail. Although the main raw materials are straw rope and spider silk, the waterproof performance is slightly reduced, but everyone is still very pleased to see the fruits of their labor, and finally has a space that can be called a residence.
Their tent was close to the campfire and cooking pot for easy lighting and cooking, and to celebrate the success of the tent, Wilson cooked all the crops he had just harvested into food. Corn forks are roasted corn on branches, carrots and leftover berries are made into vegetable chowder, pomegranates are broken in half, and Willow and Vess are halved.
After dinner, everyone sat around the stone fire pit, and they used wood as fuel, and the flames were blazing.
"That's nice." "Who would have thought that I would come to such a place and marvel at such a humble dwelling?" β
"It's really not as good as Odin's palace!" Vigferd, a female warrior, fiddled with her helmet.
"What, have you seen it with your own eyes?" Woody laughed at her, "Oh~ you're a Valkyrie, you've definitely seen it." β
"Of course!" "It's beautiful, it's spectacular!" β
"Come on." Woody didn't bother to pay attention to her, and he muttered, "What an idiot." β
"Oh hey, don't talk about that, buddy," Wolfgang hugged Woody warmly, "You're going to be a trap, aren't you?" Let's catch rabbits tomorrow, who wants to eat delicate rabbit meat! β
"Me!" Wilson and Willow both raised their hands in the air.
"Okay!" Wolfgang let go of Woody, "Wait, tomorrow old Woody and I will have a rabbit dinner!" β
Wilson and Willow cheered happily. The old lady was unmoved, and she added a piece of wood to the fire pit, "All right, it's time to go to bed, everyone!" β
"Did you hear anything?" Willow was about to get into the tent, "like a dog barking." β
"I heard that, too." Woody stroked Lucy, "This wilderness must be a wild dog." β
"I want a dog," Wilson wanted to see, "and who wouldn't want a dog, and wild dogs are fine, right?" β
"Let's go check it out, it sounds like it's getting closer." Woody picked up the torch, and Wilson followed.
