Chapter 446: The Past

After the Night of the Eclipse, Lucian bribed a desperate captain who was hiding in gambling debts with enough gold to renovate a three-masted schooner tenfold, and rushed to the Isle of Shadows day and night to die.

It was all his possessions, and he gave it away generously, knowing that his dark resolve would never be able to spend it again, whether it succeeded or not.

And to send to death, that is, to send death, to bring light into darkness.

Whether or not he kills Hammerstone to give Senna a rest, he will die on Shadow Isle.

The moment he stepped onto land again, there was no turning back.

The captain completed his mission, and disappeared from Lucian's sight without looking back.

Strangely enough, Sarah still hasn't heard of any ships registered from Shadow Isle in Bill Gewater Harbor.

Lucian, like Jeno and the others, soon after he landed on the island, was surrounded by the scattered cannon fodder spirits, and he relieved them with the holy spear in his hand.

Under the protection of the Fountain of Life given by Jeno, the black mist that permeated everywhere did not cause him trouble.

But the breath of the living drew Hecarim to him quickly, and he spent three days wrestling with Hecarim to exhaust the tireless killing machine and the undead of his Iron Regiment.

Hekarim is dead, and the price he paid is no small, he is wounded and out of ammunition.

But he can't die until he kills Hammerstone.

Lucian had to feed on the dead fish washed ashore by the waves, and if he used a special treatment to avoid the effects of the curse, it still tasted bad.

But as he delved deeper into the Isle of Shadows, the only food options available were the bugs.

In order to survive, he ate these bugs without hesitation.

Dragging his tired body, he finally came to the ruins of the Ancient Order that he had arrived at once.

It was here that he met the sinister and cunning Hammerstone, and it was here that he was robbed of his beloved.

He remembered that it was here that they were purifying the undead, and his predecessor and wife, Senna, was drawn into a ruin by a trap set by Hammerstone, and was then locked in the prison-like ruins with his backhand.

In order to prevent others from interfering in the final battle between him and Hammerstone, Lucian spent several days purifying all the undead wandering the ruins, including the powerful guardian undead in the surrounding outposts, in order to prevent them from being used by Hammerstone to become an obstacle to his revenge.

He'd been waiting for this day for too long, since the last time he left here, and there could be no mistakes!

After doing all this, Lucian paid tribute to the Veiled Daughter, and then went to the underground warehouse guarded by Hammerstone to find it, only to find that the other party was already waiting for him at the door of the ruins' warehouse.

The vault of dark secrets was a forbidden place for the Order isolated from the Abyss, separated from his archenemy by a suspended stone staircase.

And the abominable Hammerstone, wielding its hook and sickle, laughed at Lucian's indiscretion and self-righteousness, and laughed heartbreakingly.

As soon as it spoke, Lucian knew he was caught in Hammerstone's fist.

Countless undead climbed up from the abyss surrounding the vault and surged towards Lucian like a black tide.

At this point, he has no way back, only to fight to the death, and die together!

Lucian gripped the gun that Senna had left behind, and the other guns were one, firing a salvo of two guns, the holy spear roaring and shooting the ugly undead strewn all over the stone steps, and he roared towards the hammerstone that was still intended to be a wall-to-wall view.

The man and the gun roared to clear the obstacle in front of him, and he came to Hammerstone's body scarred, and his will was so strong that even if Hammerstone took out Senna's tragic experience, he could not shake his murderous intent.

They fought together, light and darkness, and in the end, Lucian was mortally wounded and defeated by Hammerstone, and was pushed down into the black fog and bottomless abyss in the battle.

As he fell, Hammerstone threw its hook and sickle, following Lucian like a viper, trying to snatch his soul, but was stopped by the water of life that held it in its chest.

Before he lost consciousness completely, he heard Hammerstone's particularly unwilling scream, which was his last thought, and he was not equally unwilling.

It wanted his soul, and he wanted its life, and in the end no one succeeded.

When Lucian awoke again, he found that his ribs were sticking out of his chest, his arm and thigh were broken, and hungry ghosts were in the abyss, but none of them had come up to kill him.

His first instinct was to grab the holy spear beside him with his only remaining hand, because his broken chest was filled with unwillingness, hatred for all the undead, and a strong obsession with killing Hammerstone.

But when his hands were burned by the power of light, and he looked at his hands that were already undead, he knew why the undead had not come to harm him.

……

Lucian's narration came to an abrupt end, and the remaining half of his face was incomparably calm in the light of the fire.

"So you were defeated by Hammerstone, fell into the abyss, and died and became undead......" Ezreal listened carefully and added the ending, but the sentence was as cruel as a mending knife.

The peace in Lucian's eyes suddenly vanished, and something in his heart was ignited.

Jeno looked at the hole in Lucian's mouth, knowing that he must have hated his current body to the extreme, and Ezreal's words stated the facts that Lucian was unwilling to admit, and the blood linlin uncovered his scars.

How ironic reality is that the undead hunter has become an undead?

"Alas......" Jano sighed, "I had expected this to be the case, but you were determined to come to Shadow Isle. ”

The outcome of some things can be known without thinking about it, as if it were predestined.

But it wants to cruelly leave you with a little hope, and make you think about it like you're mad.

And it was that faint hope that attracted Lucian to fight the fire without hesitation.

Lucian was not an undead, but he was cursed by the black mist, like the undead longing for the souls of the living, longing for repayment and redemption, which can only be done when they come to the place where everything happens, the Shadow Isle.

"But in misfortune, you became an undead, but you still have human consciousness." Jeno took over the conversation, and his main concern had always been why Lucian could still think and act in a human way.

He had expected it, but he had never expected it to unfold, and just as he was about to forget about Lucian, he found himself.
