Chapter 89: One Piece Luffy
Galen tirelessly plays the role of a righteous knight in front of children, subtly instilling his own ideas in them and helping them establish normal three views, and his gorgeous armor has become Galen's killer weapon to capture the favor of children.
Even when Galen was saying something dry, the children listened attentively around him with great interest, and memorized the plain sentences as if they were some kind of treasure.
The "child king" Galen was talking about it, but he suddenly noticed something wrong:
In the midst of the children gathered around him, it was as if a strange guy had mixed in.
Compared with other children who have not dried up, this guy is obviously seriously overaged;
He was about ten or five or six years old, with a delicate, angular face, a simple straw hat and simple red shoulders; The body is not tall but perfectly proportioned, and the muscles are lean and strong without showing bloated and swollen.
His hands, feet, and face were freshly bruised, but these seemingly minor injuries did not affect the young man's spirit, which never seemed to change.
Galen, of course, knew who the teenager was:
Monchi S. D. Luffy, the son of the leader of the Revolutionary Army, the grandson of the Navy Hero, the inheritor of One Piece, the descendant of the D-One family, the red-haired man of the Four Emperors, and the lord of the straw hats.
All in all, a very NB character.
Faced with such an NB character, Galen immediately had a lot of fear.
It's not because of Galen's instigation, but...
A strange creature with a jaw falling out dozens of centimeters, two eyes as dazzling as a searchlight, and a crystal clear hara that was about to hang down to his lap, just gathered in front of him with such an excited expression...
Galen is not afraid of not being able to.
Galen quietly took a step back, and couldn't help but ask, "What do you want to do?" ā
"Knight!!"
Luffy pounced like a hungry tiger, his hands tightly on Galen's gorgeous armor and refused to let go, and his voice trembled with excitement:
"Good, so handsome!!"
The leader of the Pirates in Windmill Village was captured by the knight Galen.
"Haha..."
Galen chuckled a little uncomfortably, and quietly reached out to break Luffy's hands that were clasped to his armor.
Luffy made a lot of strength, Galen became a little serious before he broke the hands from his armor, but Luffy was overly excited and wrapped around his arm.
And this "entanglement" is not a description, but a statement: Luffy's hand suddenly lengthened and wrapped tightly around Galen's gauntlets several times.
Galen looked at this strange scene, and had no choice but to say helplessly:
"Can you let go of your hand?"
Luffy turned a deaf ear to Galen's words, and opened his mouth to say, "Knight, be my companion!" ā
"Companion?"
Galen was slightly stunned.
Before he could answer, Luffy had already spoken to himself:
"I'm going to be the King of the Pirates!"
"When I go to sea, I want you to be my companion!"
Galen finally reacted:
His knightly dress is not only very marketable among children, but also very cool in Luffy's eyes;
And for this kind of "extremely cool" character, Luffy will always invite the other party to be his companion at the first time.
Galen angrily dragged Luffy off of him, wasted a lot of effort to break free of Luffy's rubber arm, and finally said categorically:
"I refuse."
Galen relied on his height advantage to lift Luffy, who was still in the development stage, in his hand, but Luffy still waved his arms restlessly and said excitedly:
"Come with me as a pirate!"
Galen had a bad taste for the protagonist, so he put Luffy back on the ground and asked him:
"To be a pirate?"
"Straw hat boy, why did you want to be a bad person?"
"Bad guys?"
Luffy gently touched the straw hat that had been crooked by himself, and said in a natural tone:
"It's my dream!"
"What's so bad about being a pirate? How can it be a bad person? ā
In Luffy's eyes, pirates have never been a derogatory term.
After seeing Luffy's unique worldview, Galen simply changed his question:
"Murder, robbery, extortion, kidnapping, stealing, vandalism..."
"Do you do these bad things?"
"Of course not."
It was still Luffy's flat and pure voice that answered Galen, so firm that it didn't hesitate.
Galen voiced his opinion:
"Since you don't do bad things, then you're not a pirate at all!"
"People like you are just adventurers and navigators."
"No!"
Luffy replied again in simple words:
"I'm a pirate."
Luffy wouldn't debate Galen at all, he would just repeat his unwavering conviction over and over again.
Galen's attempt to change Luffy's mindset failed again, and he couldn't even waver in the slightest.
"Bastard, come back to me!"
A love fist slammed into Luffy's head, causing Luffy to cry out in his arms.
Then Karp reached over with a big powerful hand and dragged Luffy, who had been beaten to his breath, back like a kitten.
While dragging Luffy, Karp said angrily:
"How many times have I said that? You're going to follow me as a navy in the future! ā
"You dare to shout in front of me to be a pirate!"
Luffy struggled powerlessly under Karp's big hand, so he had to retort with words unrelentingly:
"I don't care! I'm just going to be the King of the Pirates! ā
Karp turned a deaf ear to this and just dragged Luffy farther and farther away.
"Wait!"
Galen suddenly stopped Karp, looked at Luffy with interest and said:
"How about I talk to him again?"
"Maybe I can change his mind a little."
"Huh?"
Karp asked, somewhat curious:
"What do you want to do?"
"My grandson's mind is not so easy to change."
"Let me try."
With that, Galen walked up to Luffy again and said to him:
"No matter what you think, in my perception, only people who do bad things are pirates."
"And you're just a free adventurer with the name of a pirate."
Galen said "step by step":
"Being an adventurer is not a bad thing, and I will not dislike or stop it."
"However, I think you should change your name."
"A different name?"
Luffy asked, somewhat puzzled, "What do you mean?" ā
"You're not really a pirate, so naturally you shouldn't be called 'One Piece'!"
Galen voiced his thoughts:
"Why don't you change to a more harmonious name-"
"How about being called 'One Piece'?"
"One Piece" and "One Piece" are just a name difference, but the impact is far from the same:
The biggest difference is that a great "One Piece" will inspire a group of brave adventurers, and these adventurers may be mixed with some bad guys with bad intentions;
And a great "One Piece" gave birth to countless pirates who were proud of their bandits, and among these evil pirates, it was barely possible to find a few pure adventurers who came out of the mud and were not stained.
This is basically the difference between rice mixed with sand and mixed with rice.
On the battlefield of public opinion propaganda, the difference between one word is a world of difference.
Galen's goal in the future is to separate the harmless adventurers from the evil true pirates in the vast pirate community.
One of the solutions he came up with was to gradually replace the misleading young man with the harmonious title "One Piece".
And liking things to be harmonized, naturally not a good experience.
After a few seconds of silence, Luffy showed an extremely disgusted expression:
"No, it's ugly."
Galen had expected this, but continued to agitate: "Then how about we have a duel?" ā
"Duel?"
Luffy's expression quickly changed to excitement again.
"That's right."
Galen encouraged Luffy and said:
"As long as you win, I'll be your companion."
"If you lose, you'll have to change your slogan to 'One Piece'!"
"Of course..."
As if he felt that this condition was too harsh for Luffy, Galen added:
"It doesn't matter if you lose now."
"When you defeat me in the future, you can change the name of 'One Piece' back."
"And I'll still be your companion then!"
"I promise!"
Luffy nodded very neatly: "Let's duel!" ā
"You don't think much about it?"
Galen asked, somewhat surprised.
Luffy gently touched the brim of his straw hat, and his eyes quietly shone sharply.
A fearless momentum erupted from the young man, and his voice was full of fierce battle intent:
"If I can't defeat my opponent forever, then I'm not qualified to be one piece in the first place!"
"Knight!"
"I'll make you my companion!"
....................
After a while, Galen said to Luffy, who was half-smashed by his two or three swords:
"So..."
"Shout a new slogan?"
"IāI..."
Luffy has always been willing to gamble and lose, but this time he was extremely entangled:
"I'm the man who wants to be One Piece..."
